I noticed people have their tech trees maxed at 170. I can’t get mine past 168. I checked the perks/defense/attack upgrades and looks like everything is good. How do they get those last two points? Thanks for any advice.

Getting yourself from level 168 to 170 has nothing to do with your perks or upgrades. You simply need to collect another 6000 Titan XP or so. It’ll probably happen naturally in about two weeks.
Frankly, going from 168 to 170 is pretty much meaningless at this stage anyway. It’ll generate six more titan perk points for you but right now you have nothing more to spend them on, they’ll just sit in your inventory until Space Ape releases more perks for purchasing.
