After discount code 167usd
sorry i ddidntscrolll up
Is okay
35% on sale
150usd here
holyyyyy shit
i tried it
sound is better
compared to ap pro2
transparency is almost the same
tho ap pro still in the lead
but the anc on this ok
that ap pro level
but it has way less in ear pressure than the ap pro
Yeees
The ear pressure is the key selling point
Because the earbuds 2 pro had too much like it was nice noise cancelation but u could feel it
And niiice
- i dont need that much anc when im using them outside
transparency mode is more important
Yeees
- i have my xm6 so if i need the best anc i can just use that instead
U can adjust the transparency on these, but yeah
I enjoy that so far they r comfortable to walk around with
yep
they are comfier than the ap pro
my ear hurts a little
after wearing the ap pro
amd good for exercise hehehehe
Hehehe gooood
ip57
Oooh
How?
L side stay normal while R side becomes more quiet and quiet
After sometime I put it away (overnight) it somehow miraculously back to normal
Imbalance?
well.. not for so long
Filter issue?
Moondrop qc
I have been using my old iem cable since the day I got Chu 2 and now I'm switching because the old one no longer works
I'm enjoying my CMF buds 2, they fun
like about 3 weeks ago
Try buying another cable
If it doesn't work... Pray
But you should try to clean the contacts
Both cable and IEMs
Even a spec of dust can make a lot of interferences
is there a way to clean the contacts
Toothbrush with alcohol to reach the unreachable parts
Like where the pin goes in
The pins in itself, you can just use cottonswab with alcohol as well
Cologne works
I use it
Fragrance, most have alcohol
A plus is that it will smell even better

I use it to clean earpiece of my phone and stuff like that
@cursive wren give it a try
I will on Tuesday
If it doesn't fix it it's either cable issue or moondrop QC attacking again
I'm using the Chu 2 cable right now
well....
I have Chu 2 with me for almost 9 months and never picked up the cable until 3 weeks ago

o

will this work on the pogo pins?
lmao
Lilith
thats kinda fire

whats best budget overear headphones, i got overear that stole from pc cafe 10 years ago that just gave up
bro was a thief 10 years ago
sony wh-1000xm6
nice budget recommendation
indeed
ngl i just wanna have something that i can sleep with it
i am using buds 2 as sleeping headphones
sometimes they just dissappear or hurt my ears
I will follow the trace
just give me about 18 months

(I might as well wait for xm7 to come out)
3 years minimum
I honestly don't get how you guys can listen to MP3s and not get nauseated by the low quality, even at 320kbps you can hear the compression from over a mile away, I only listen to 1k+ kbps FLACs ripped from REAL CDs, remember those? Compact Discs? Yeah I still use those, none of that compressed streaming bullshit will ever touch my 10000 dollar (yes 1 with four zeroes) audiophile setup, I personally find songs that are not WAV or FLAC unlistenable and am honestly disgusted by people who say otherwise, you plebs keep your mp3s and your m4as, while I get to listen to the best quality music, knowing that even the lowest of sub-bass (down to 1Hz!) will never get cut out, I have no idea if you've ever experienced FLAC music to its fullest, I'd guess you never did because you plebs could never afford such a setup, but when you DO listen to it, you can hear the air between the instruments, the guitar strings crackling against the tabs and even the littlest imperfections in the singer's voice, really feeling the warmth from the music and having a surreal experience, unless you're like me and used to it by now (kind of impossible), I kind of feel sorry for you guys that will never get to experience FLAC music or anything remotely like it in the next 100 years, remember, if you don't have a setup that costs at least 1000 dollars, you are NOT listening to the music, you're only hearing somewhat musical noises with a ton of compression
i chant Tinnitus x10
Holy wall of text
Copy pasta material
Didn't final audio fell off?
Like in quality
Or I'm just mixing it with another brand
E5000 is pretty good for 2nd hand price
They r shit yeah

@shadow mountain how much is rm30 converted to usd
@verbal peak Hmph, if only my purse were as full as your curiosity. Currently, RM30 is worth approximately $7.09 to $7.11 USD. The exact amount can fluctuate slightly depending on the live exchange rate.
Idk some degrade fast af
Gyze, I need some cabled over the ear headphones (that are available on Amazon.es) under 65€, I've got a look at akg k92s for 45€ (40 cuz got coupon) any suggestions?
Oh, I also forgot, must be closed back as I will be using them on noisy places
Cabled over the ear headphones?
Hi, anyone bought the st2 ultra yet, is it good? Are there any recommendations for something similar or cheaper than that? thanks
means not wireless headphones
then just say headphones vro

Had to specify just in case xd
Depends open back closed back or something
Closed
Not a fan of open back
I saw athm20x it's uhh
Decent ig
*tried
For me if it's under $100 might as well buy an iem
Has decent bass? (I'm a fan of hardtekk)
I already have IEMs, but want to get some headphones
I'm not sure what's a good bass headphone
The ones I've tried is like $200+
The cheapest I've tried is moondrop para
But that's open back lmao
Although really good sound
I mean, it doesn't need to be bassy as hell, just some bass is ok, I can always tune with a bit of EQ
If I wanted bass I could just save up for skullcandy crushers the model that has aux support

Just get that imo
Idk if this page is legit or not, but this is freq graph for k92, seems aight
Oh wait, got the crinacle graph I think
If only I got a physical store to try some out
Eh idk headphone freq graph
Same, but looks similar to my iems
7hz Zero2
I mean reading iem and headphones are different
Because one is inside the ear and the other doesnt
lan 2:ref 1st impression (4hrs of listening)
made mostly for female vocal + instrument
the 4.4mm stock cable is somehow fucked if you kinda have a single dongle w/3.5 se
you have to use a 4.4-to-3.5 adapter
male vocal + subbass is pushed a lil bit too far behind
4.4 to 3.5 adapter???
Yea
yeah
4.4 female to 3.5 male
lemme take a pic real quick
4.4 stock and 4.4 + adapter
istg that shit is scuffed as fuck if you dont have a 4.4 source
4.4 to 3.5 to 3.5 to usb c
Wtf
your cable should at least 3-40cm longer
Skibidu?
it defo sound better than space 1
but not that much
it just like
8$ extra so
the best thing about it is battery life
and ugh
multi point connection
i mean it has better battery life
what i dont like is
it still sucks on android
!!!
not sure why the volume is always low on android
download the app
nope
on iphone it works fine
wait let me try
nah, im not the type to blast the volume all the way
not sure
but iirc on my iPhone the volume is way higher
yea im not tweaking
on ios
same volume level on android
this is on high gain
guess the 7hz zero 2 sounded way better than this
so i got picky
in my ears yes
wth
you're actually sane by not turn up the volume till full
bcs it's already loud
this is on middle gain as well
same loudness level as my iem on this tablet
your phone might be tweakin maybe

mb man i forgot i am in an elitist thread 🙏
When $20 wired IEMs give you better than wireless sound of any price, I don’t think anyone can (and should) resist!

Yeah it moondrop being a bitch
idk bro aliexpress link
What kind of music do u listen to tho?
only impression is that

inawaken dawn is good?
Arti t10?
its good
worth it for 60 euros?
What the fuck is this link
Zero red is ass
I wonder why people speak highly about it
Any other $50 is better than red or blue imo
I use hexa
I've tried dawn, c2, yu xuan ji, delci, I forgot what other Ive tries lmao
Rich ass
@wooden vault any new good iem I should try on?
Or what to xheck
Gonna go to a store today
which one is the best
Depends on your preference
I think delci and c2 if you like metal or rock
Or something engaging
Yu xuan ji I forgot how it is
But it's bright
I think it's good for something like
Yorushika
And dawn ms is just an all rounder
tell them tp give u sub 150
imma go with dawn then
i hope they dont break out of nowhere like my chu 2

i searched it up
the same problem occured with a lot of people
moondrop is ahh on these budget iems
Nah
Mine still works
I think it has been 7-8 months
guess im unlucky yhen
Just remember this lok
Lol
Mine just got lost yesterday

Gaming
@wooden vault tired nora
Felt too sharp

Daybreak too
And it's too deep making my ear canals fatigued
how you feelin
bouta demo it as well
I don't like new iem
Most of them are too bright for me
The treble js too spicy
better cook that shit up
or use foam tips all the time
(i dont like foam type anyway)
There's nothing to like this year for me ig
But I did try the darksaber
Really nice iem
like every single new set for the last 2-3 years
has something to elevate
either the bass cannon
or the glass shattering treble
I don't think it has improved noticeably for me
sorta
It's more what I believe a trend of what company makes
people sometimes just being fomo all the time
It's alright
Ie200 is nice
I don't think there's any better daily driver iem that's cheaper
Atleast for me
Unfortunately I can't afford it

And it doesn't fit my ear canals
i just flipped around the blessing 3 and the hype 4
not buying anything special for a whole year
just buying some sub 100 for the meme
and maybe comparing those
btw for the lan 2
I've been inactive in the audiophile hobby for almost a year and there's not much to say
I'm good enough with dawn ms
bought hiby r1
to replace my old echo mini
(dead by a fucking flood)
will write some reviews later
I wanna save for an r1 tbh
Nice
@surreal sage did you got it?
not yet
They arrived, haven't tested them much cuz no time to test, but so far, they are good
Uhhh I think I need to get a new filter
Buy biww
holy shit
is it out
but i need to know the quality first
moondrop quality
zamn
@cerulean ridgeit arrived
i dont know how to explain
but its so much better than chu
instruments are a lot more clear
peak iem
i just changed the cable to mc2
the cable that came with feels kinda cheap, my only complain
Yeah it feels quite cheap for me
I think it's because it has less sub bass
Or bass
one more to the collection
inawaken dawn
chu 2
gate
kz edx
only budget lol
next time i will buy an 100$ one
It's up to own preference
Idk I can't say any big difference between $50 and $100
So I just changed by swapping chu2 thought the issue was about the clogged filter and maybe I was wrong
Now my guess is probably about the cable
Only one or both?
Swap left and right cables
So uh I mention the problem before like 2 or 3 months ago that my audio become imbalance for apparent reason
I tried clean the filter and it seems to work for a brief moment then later the problem just strike back
.
I like to use moondrop spring tips or sancai widebore
But idk why spring tips makes my ear feel oily
the pin connecter?
before swap the left side is louder than the right and after swap its still the same
I like how this happed every time I plugged the cable into my laptop
Yes
Not cable
I mean it doesn't change right?
ye
its not the cable then
Either filter or the driver has a problem
Audio driver or the IEM driver
I've been trying to look for the new one for quite a while now like the whole part
but I couldn't find
Ye
not worth imo
try this if you can
Mine still fine tho
i lied sorry
the Sony WH-1000XM6 review: its excellent, thats it
jk
heres the actual review:
but before considering buying and reading the reviews online, listen to what ill have to say.
DO NOT listen to those "audiophiles" on youtube saying it sounds muddy or shit out of the box, they're cappin. its either they're hatin or they have shit ears full of ear wax, its either those two
now heres my opinion on the headphone:
sound quality is very good and with tuned eq, its amazing, as they have 10-band EQ for the XM6 and high-quality audio codec like LDAC. They also have a very amazing bass, very punchy out of the box. Overall, great
functionality: its probably the best rn imo. they have many features that's very convenient for both indoor and outdoor use. you should check out their features on the net, its good
ANC and Transparency: its on the throne right now, since i can not get my hands on the Bose QCU2(yet) thats why i could not compare them. so im saying this out of experience wearing many ANC headphones, this one is the best in the market right now and still is.
For Transparency, same thing as the airpod max lmao, i genuinely can not hear any big difference in transparency mode, but yes its very very good
comfortability: 10/10 for me, not a big amount of clamping force, but definitely more than the xm5, it depends on your head shape and size so go try it out yourself
cons (or things that i dont like):
-
this headphone is a fingerprint magnet, it gets dirty very easily, even with the black variant
-
i DONT recommend you to buy this IF you are a very SWEATY person, your ears will sweat very easily with this headphone
the build quality also isnt the best, they said they used plastic to keep it light, but i really doubt it. they could use better material if they wanted to, but i guess they didnt, which is a little disappointing.
@cursive wren
@fleet fulcrum can pin?
ik nobodys gonna buy it but pin it anyways
just in case
Ww audiophile
@wooden vault do you have LDAC option in your moondrop app for your ST2U?
wtf
how is mine not there
you get the apk from the browser or the play store
ok now im tempting to try this can you guide me how to
Moondrop Chu II DIY Filter Replacement that surprised me!
IEM: https://moondroplab.com/en/products/chu-ii
Extra tip: when using at louder volumes the DIY filter might not filter enough resonance so consider using an extra piece of mesh.
I @KennethRayuDiaz AM NOT RESPONIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS; DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

wdyt bout the sound profile
kinda interested
ppl said it's warm
currently thinking of a better replacement for waner
but also thinking of planars for EDM/metal playlists
Yeah its basically Harman with a bit of treble boost
My kz edx sound better
my akg sounds better
My $10 tws sounds better
HiBy R1 DAP - new default budget DAP?
MSRP: $85, can usually get for some sale
Disclaimer: im not a DAC chip fanatic, so i dont really believe in DAC's difference in terms of sound and sonic, therefore i wont focus on that aspect
Firmware updated to v1.4.
Specs: CS43131 x1
Supports DSD256 / PCM 384kHz-32bit
Bluetooth 5.1
3-inch touchscreen
Wi-fi supported
Up to 2tb SDcard support
3.5mm Single Ended
Packaging
Honestly not a lot, but needy. Besides the DAP and the cable, you'll also get a strap string for carrying, can use the loop hole on the device for a lanyard as well. You'll get an extra screen protector, with 2 pre-applied, which is cool and all.
Build quality
Full plastic, but with the transparent design, you can see the internal through the sides of the DAP, kinda cool.
UI
Basic, functional. The touchy aspect is not that great, like you can feel that steady 24fps when scrolling, but for the price, it's fine. Screen quality is decent, can see the text and the album covers quite well.
Can customize the colors of the theme for personalization, and the screen's brightness is quite high as well, so you can use this outdoor without any problem.
Sounding
Pitch black floor noise with every IEMs that i own, can drive some fullsize as well but i would just recommend people to look for somewhere else if you have the need to drive your headphones. This device can deliver up to 101mW @ 32Ohm, which is sufficient for most IEMs, but not for headphones.
For the EQ, it supports 10-band PEQ, which is nice to have. I don't really use it, but i can say that it works as intended. This device also has some custom EQ, which is MSEB (Magesound 8-ball). It can adjust some aspects of your music (temperature, bass extension, thickness, vocals, etc.) IMO, it works quite well, but in some Hi-Res tracks, it just doesnt click, maybe because of firmware cap. Also if you enable MSEB, you will disable bitperfect, so for bit chaser, be aware.
Has gain settings, from what i read, low gain will deliver about 70mW @ 32Ohm, and 101mW for high gain.
Battery life
For a small device like this, i'm quite impressed by how long it can deliver. For my testing, it can survive for about 12-13hrs (low gain, mostly @ 55-65 volume), pretty close to the advertised 15hrs battery life. It has USB-C port, so it can be charged with almost everything in the big 25. But you would need a fast enough SD card, since its pretty card relied for transfer and reload speed.
Can use USB-C port as a OTG, to plug in another DAC/AMP dongle for extra power, but you kinda need to use the dongles that have physical control, since it can be quite loud for your ears.
But can't use this device as a standalone DAC, so it can be a dealbreaker for some.
Bluetooth/Streaming
The connectivity for bluetooth speakers/headphones is smooth and all, no problem at least for my unit. Can use Airplay as well, so it's a plus for Apple users out there.
For streaming, it can stream Tidal and Qobuz, can't say it can deliver bit-perfect, but it's alright for those music streaming enthusiast. But since the OS is non-Android based, you can't install anything else, so you can't really use Spotify or anything else
Pro:
- Decent P/P device, with little complaint for the price
- Clear sounding, black noise
- Bluetooth supported
- Streaming / Airplay supported as well, with some caveats
- Impressive battery life
Con:
- No 4.4 Bal connection, so you can't use those chonky ass cable for more power, unless you use the DAP as an OTG (just buy a phone at that point)
- UI can be a little bit more optimized
Testing Devices: Moondrop Blessing 3/Sennheiser IE200/Tanchjim Nora/Thieaudio Hype 4
BeyerDynamic DT990 Pro (250Ohm)
Fiio KA13/Tanchjim Luna/Questyle M15i
(my akg buds sound better lol)
chat
any good cable no more than 20 usd
theres a store that sells mc2 with a good price
around 17 usd
Oh this looks fire
xinhs if you dont need some mic
or if you can stretch a lil bit
lyre mini
i kinda need mic
mc2 it is
ighto
you would need a dac then
i think
Alr got sonata bhd so all good
id recommend artti t10 then
yeah
Moondrop robin, nothing special
Your average entry level IEM can easily sweep
xduoo xd05 t + tangzu zetian wu
😭😭😭
So good
That newest ICDD album sounds so unreal w/ this setup
Also tried origin asano tanch on this DAC, it was... Alright, would say XD05 was too powerful for origin which makes the sounds feels "predictable" especially for Electronic genre
Would like to have both but probably would think abt between origin vs hype4
hype4's housing is just too fkin big
If only zetian doesnt have qc issue
Got a chance to try out my friend XM6.
Now time to review
Plub pretty much cover the entire thing so... I don't really know what to review.
I have to say it's pretty good, my first impression is super comfortable. About the sound (without EQ), it's super clear but I kind of dislike mid-range, it feels somewhat too sharp.
With EQ, I turn up lower-range by 1-3Db and turn down mid and treble-range by 1-2Db to actually separate the bass out of vocals and all the effects in the background.
told you bro istg the reviewers on youtube have shitty ears or they hatin
i want to buy some decent over ear closed back headphones soon (about 100 usd budget) what should i get
he1
Has anyone tried new tangzu gaming iem?
He1 is open back(?)
What's the name?
It has boom mic like kinera celest wyvern
Yeah
It has carbon fiber plates xd
If you're only going for the boom mic just get the cable and mic
Won't it cause an allergic reaction to some people
?
I was thinking about going for lan2
Its like only on outside shell
For the looks and design Iguess
I have waner 2 and kinera celest wyvern so I was looking for some upgrade
Yeah comfy af
Unless it's decent to other $50 I would rather get the other or wyvern
I dont like wan er 2 though
Only og and pro
The remaster(?) fitting is kinda ass
Ye
Better freq than normal
Cable is ass though
But pro is still better
I used waner 2 cable with it
I had the pro but leftside broke so I returned and got qing
Ahh
Since they didn't have pro in stock
This one
There is normal/pro , qing , and abyss
4 5 type now with new 2.0 abyss
I heard there were also one called black but I guess that was abyss
Only have tried abyss and wyvern
It's probably the least brand's product I've touched
I usually try tangzu, truthear, and moondrop
For things lower than $200
Tbh I am cool with the budget ones lmaoo
I had opportunity to listen some good iems
I am looking for like budget overhead one though
Preferably anc
I have like really old gaming headset for my setup
And sometimes iems hurt my ear so I use that
No like chinese shit I got from taobao . Its one you'd see in internet pc cafes . It was like 7$ I think
Now the budget overheads are like fiio one or the other I forgot its name they are above 80+ usd
I am sure they sound good but they are not bt anc. For BT there isnt much contenders I am seeing . I was thinking about the anker space one
No I was questioning graydust
Ahhh
But ehhh
Can't say much about headphones
Especially closed back
But I remember seeing ATH... That ends with a 3 or 4
It was like $50?
I mean i am loud af city I am always used to ambiance and I lowkey struggle walking around sidewalk or outside here
Haven't tried it but its made by audio technica
so idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Oh with ANC
No idea
For me iem is more than enough
People telling me to buy the momentum 4 or just go ahead and buy like xm4
Passive one is not enough here xd
Yeah
Go for it ig
Maybe i should get like just actual industrial noise reduction ear protection lmao
Does anyone know why apple music insist on charging more expensive region
I have japanese playstore and Indian playstore
?
I even has like indian payment system so everytime I try to download apple music using that email and
If suddenly switch to yen
In yen its about 1080¥ which is like
7x in indian play store
Shows in rupes then when I clicks switches to yen
Region pricing
I mean at the moment I am in india though
See. My main play store location is set on japan which i use always . Then since I am in india I decided to create new email that has set in india.
So everything i buy on indian play store should be charged indian rupes however apple is mysteriously changing it to yen
VPN?
Nope
I have no idea whats going on with it i tried with yt music and had success
Here with regional pricing its like
10% of this price
I used to pay like 1080 for yt
However recommendation lowkey gets destroyed though
I used to be able to get like j podcasts now its just filled with indian musics and podcasts
Thats downside ig
isnt bcs you set your play store in jp tho
I mean i do have diffrent play stores thats set in like mongolia and india
When I try to use those it switches to the japan though
Large
is st2u on your part appeared as Space Travel 2 Ultra or Space Travel 2 in bluetooth devices and moondrop app
ultra?
mine appeared as normal 2

yea apparently it happened bcs I updated the firmware
so that's why i cant find the ldac option
rio
wait i just realized mine it happens to mine to...
is there a way to fix that?
need to return it
LMAO
i asked them in email and that's the only answer
peak moondrop qc
bruh
have you tried the old app
?
Wow
If I were to have it, I would've been in an immeasurable disappointment state
well i am in an immeasurable disappointment rn alright
i just realized it now after using it for 3+ weeks
yes
it says im at the latest update
unless someone can upload the firmware and we can overwrite the firmware
have you tried factory reset
?
i tried mine, didn't work tho
mayebe yours work
lol,an option to reset firmware version would be solving too much moonbug problem
cant have that
i got a refund of like $9 for it, not bad ig
hby @dull wind
damn thats crazy, I got mine at like $30
wait no
thats $15 difference
are you sending them back or ask for refund
guess what
the store doesn't have that product on their list anymore
im just gonna use ts until it's broken ig
i dont mind having no ldac
just sad seeing the bluetooth labeled my st2u as the base variant
it have 6 months waranty if you ask they may give you some back
your monney

not 12 months?
idk they say 6 months so...
warranty probably started at the batch release since some of them buy them bulk and put them on storage. i dont really know
dam
i was actually about to buy space travel
yall are freaking me out with the issues
or should i go for it too
the sound tuned in st1 is wayy better
Just EQ st2 to st1

Haven't touched st2
Will try if I have the time
I really wanna make a tierlist of budget iems and tws
But I guess it's quite useless since theres already alot of them
is there any big ass difference between those two, because im ngl i eq most of my iems almost all the times depending what genre of musics im listening to
kinda a freak
No I think that's normal
Some people are just lazy
So people like me just get an all rounder one
hi
are these worth it? I plan to use my 7hz Zero 2 on them
the only thing i really care about is the sound quality staying as close to how they are wired
I've done my own search of reviews but tbh one review contradicts the other
They say it sounds better on IOS than Android, then vice versa. And that one music player is better than the other. I didn't even know people use other music players/software for these kinds of things
As for any other pointers, im okay with the comfort side of it and case
Just wanted to know if anyone's familiar with this product and what should I look out for
Prob yeah
There are cheaper alternatives
Fiio btr11
But it's not tws
But it's Bluetooth
???
It's should've been like $20
We'll go for it ig
Trn one
Btw
Check for yt vids
idk man but that's how it is
alr
See if it has problem with charging
Some doesn't charge in the case
And see if there's any warranty
And maybe use lower voltage/the cable that comes with the dongle?
From all of the reviews i read, none mention this. They even praise battery life and charging
from where im getting it, it does
uhhh the hooks/connectors? I think they have a proprietary connector with this BT module
There's one thing im confused with so far. Reviews mention they only support AAC and SBC. I'm familiar with those as codecs but would those be an issue for someone like me who just wants to listen music on the go? My music files are downloaded as .MP3 and some are .FLAC sooo would those be an issue?
Wouldn't be a problem
It would mean the audio would get compressed to a lower resolution
ohhh cool
fair, that should be a given with these devices
I think for going outside it's more than enough to have iem like resolution tws
And you prob wouldn't notice that much detail loss either
When you're out compared when you're indoor relaxing
alright that sounds convincing. I'm gonna get them
ight bet
true, outside theres just many noise pollutions so it's not worth using a good iems outside since u wont be noticing minor details in quality outside anyways
It's not about the monetary value of a product, its about whether it's worth my time cooking for it.

Q: Why your video in ppt form? 3rd grade?
A: Due to my poorly spoken English and laziness in retaking videos, I just take some photos out of my phone and call it a day.
Q: What is your dac/amp?
A: T...
Im gonna buy this
Lmk
Moondrop Lan II Ref: too little n too much as well?
($59.99 MSRP)
What's included?
The IEMs (obviously)
4.4mm balanced cable
4.4-to-3.5mm adapter
3 sets of eartips
A carrying pouch (the soft one)
A postcard
The box (has to be the box)
Fit & Comfort:
Negative-shaped, can relate to something like the Chu or the Lan OG, very comfy for those smol ears gang. The nozzle is relatively a little bit too long tho, but slim, unlike the Zero series from Truthear, so it can fit a wide range of tips.
Cable:
Lightweight and flexible, kinda hard to tangle the cable. The jack feels firm enough with my pack of DACs and DAPs, even though with the 3.5 gang, it can be a little bit frustrated, since you kinda have to use the adapter - adapter to the source.
Build:
Metal built, feels robust in my hands, but as with any type of IEMs, be careful and don't drop ts from the 7th floor or something.
Drivability:
30Ω / 118dB/Vrms @ 1kHz, can drive with literally anything, so just a simple DAC should be fine.
Sources: Cayin RU3 / Hiby R1 / iFi Zen DAC 3
FLAC files, i listen to literally anything xdd
Overall tuning:
Mid-High focused, bass is tight but not a lot in terms of quantity.
Bass: Tight and neutral, can relate to the Hexa's bass. Not bleeding into the low-mid freq, but with the cost of the bland characteristic in some tracks, mostly in Rock/Metal/Rap genres.
Mid: Clean and accurate. Both the male and female vocals feel uncolored, which is the most notable part of this set, all about the vocal. The focus on clarity will provide a more "artist intended", but can be a little bit shouty on certain bright-af tracks.
Treble: Extended, but nothing special, especially on the micro details. The Lan II REF feels open, sharp, but at the same time, feels lack of detail. For busy tracks like Breathe (In the Air), the lack of micro details, or the ability to play with multiple instruments, is shown the most.
Pros: some of the better built IEMs in this price bracket
The box, has to be the box
Zero bleeding across the band
One of the best vocal set in this price point, even under $100
Cons: Can be shouty at times and tracks
Not the most detail set, and bass can be lack for some
Whoever designed the 4.4-to-3.5 adapter instead of the hotswap cable should be shot immediately
Metal built, which is a pro for some, and a con for the rest, YMMV./.
(ass phone w/ ass camera)
((also i use S&S tips, so the sound may be a lil bit diff with the stock ones))
4.4 3.5 adaptor in 2025 is wild
why
did you got refund
not yet
the seller replies late
and the replies aren't going anywhere tbh
I don't really mind if i dont get it
though i hope of getting a replacement instead of a refund tho
or at least a full refund
just a guess, seller prob wont give full refund if you still have it
if you live closer to the shop or the refund window still open then its prob possible to get replace
lesson learned already so its probably better to not update moonbug firmware
ATH M40Xs
@cerulean ridge just got them
audio quality hmmm you can definitely notice the difference from wired but it's surprisingly good for a wireless module
nah it's actually crazy cos the other day i tried my friend's Baseus Bowie 30 and it was unbearable
this surprises me
specifically, you will tell the compression but i guess that's a given?
sorry im not the most technical so I can't exactly point out mids, highs, etc. But I don't lose the sub-bass of the 7hz Zero 2. I also don't get the muddy vocals i commonly experience from other wireless earphones
Icic good to hear
are there any good sub 50 usd anc headphones
i just need it for noise cancellation due to noise pollution being high here
and iems and earbuds are not comfiest to wear 10 hours day
use earplugs
best solution
- always under 50usd in every option

i do have samsung buds 2 that isolates well but its just hurts my ear wearing it all day
i do tried those
3m industrial noise
cancelling ear protection
like the instruction workers one
with iem under it xd
idk but what i can think of rn is edifier w820nb+ and w830nb
its under 50usd and their anc is quite good
i saw one called qcy h3 pro
people be saying its budget king or smth
i am not sure about the fit though
if it has large inner cup
its go for me
all the good cheap ones are not available here like ugreen max5c haylou s40 etc
hmm
oh btw, the voice prompts that tell you when the module is disconnected, pairing, etc.
sounds like a mommy
idk if that's relevant but i find it oddly funny
it's actually a pretty clear voice prompt. Not like the casual "za bluetooth device is konektuda saksusfeli"

ngl i thought space travel 2 would have more mature voice prompt
omg
i wish it would call me a goodboy whenever im charging
good boy
welp i won moondrop qc this time.
after not even a full month(18.11~16.12) space travel 2 ultra is dead on the right side, no sound most of the time. DD isnt DDying
and its not even ultra anymore, the firmware fuck itself and thinks its the base version

What is that music player
foobar2000
mine is heavily customized though
the normal app looks like shit
True
am i considered an NPC for just using Spotify with an eq
nah im just deep into the rabbit hole
ask the other guys here
they probably do the same as you lol
not a lot of people listen to giga hi-res music because it consumes tons of storage
- its not really worth it if your headphones, iem can not play the music in highest quality/bitrate
its only worth it if:
- you got enough storage
- you have a good enough hardware, headphones (requires a lot of money) to output those high bitrate sounds
- you want to listen to music in the highest quality possible
even an audio freak like @cursive wren still uses youtube music
unfortunately yeah, usually i just straight buy albums on bandcamp
but if its like r&b songs type shit its not worth buying lol
edm gang on top fr

And another one, you could hear the difference
Then you're just wasting it all
yeah lmao
90% of the time it's not even noticeable
people with 10000$ headphones:

Tbf the question was if high quality audio is noticeable most of the time
Not how significant difference is a $10k headphone compared to normies
Is tangzu iems good?
personally, i do actually hear difference of audio quality in edm genres mostly
ofc thts bcuz theres buncha shit tons of layer by layers of sound in an edm track, if the audio quality is shit enough, all of it sounds so glitchy
this
higher tier headphones allows you to hear the deeper depth of the layers of sound
it also depends if ur audio quality is good enough or no, if that song is from some low quality audio streaming services that u got from, having a good headphones/iem wont make it a difference
ig thts why mostly ppl go on Spotify
lossless audio quality or flac
personally I'll go for bandcamp or SoundCloud if im feeling a little bit jpop or edms and Spotify for r&b and piano stuffs
thats why i said you need higher end headphones to be able to hear those flacs or hi-res audio
tbh ive tried iems atp, feel like changing to headphones but idk which one to pick tbh, ive tried that one Alienware Headphone thts closed back and have a really good anc imo, i liked that one it was Alienware (AW920H) but since i dropped out of college, i wont be getting to use that headphones anymore
any recommendations? Preferably under 150$ usd
i too am looking for new headphones preferably new release, been searching for a while
theres some that fits your budget like the Sennheiser accentum and the plus ver or you could add some money and buy the momentum 4. i didn't pick any of these even though its close to some of the best headphones because its old release.
theres also moondrop edge which is less than $100 if im not mistaken but not really that promising.
some sony budget is also good but only if you're a basshead, if you're not then honestly just forget it, the only notable thing about sony budget is their anc tbh.
the new cmf headphone is probably not bad but idk, i don't really watch much reviews on these.
theres also some from soundcore and soundpeats with generic tune, you could look them up if you already have some of their product and think it suits your taste.
beside this i dont really know more, pretty sure there's some that could be good but haven't heard them. its really hard to find good headphones especially new ones at this time, if you search "best tws headphones 2025" on youtube you'll get result either from the ancient non ai time, outright ads, shitty paid promotion, and then some random bulshit or just outright AI turd that just came out from automated ass couple hours from you searching ago. its really bad, everything is really ass now
honestly ill just wait for the new year release atp.
tht kinda goes a little bit over my budget dang
i feel like sony would be a good pick for headphones but ik for a fact sony is expensive
is there free iem database where i can get access to iems manifactured impedance sensitivity and resistances etc
got a new pair of earbuds
