Sennheiser IE 200 - Is it really worth it in 2025?
($149.99 MSRP but usually on sale for $90-110)

Fit & Comfort: for people who arent familiar with the "new" IE shape, its the so-called low profile shape with fairly short nozzles. A little bit tip dependant because of the nozzle, will talk about it later. Really comfortable if you can choose the right tips.

Cable: 2 dollars type shit if im being honest. Not so easy to tangle but extremely filmsy. Also because of the recessed MMCX connector, you cant really buy any MMCX cable and call it a day. I myself usually switch between the stock cable and the 4.4mm custom one.

Accessories: IEMs, 3 sets of silicone eartips, 3 sets of foam eartips (all in S/M/L size), a cable in 3.5mm jack and a soft pouch. Not a lot if you compare to chi-fi sets in the same price point, but it gets the job done.

Build: matte black plastic, looks a little bit cheap but super lightweight, and after almost 2 years, im not aware of any defection in my unit. No driver flex.

Source + music files: Apple dongle / iFi Go Bar / Snowsky Echo Mini + FLAC/DSD files, Im using Dunu Candy and Azla Xelastec on this set, more about tips problem later.

Disclaimer: Sennheiser introduced some "mechanic" called dual tuning vented nozzles, which imo is completely useless, since people tent to push the IEMs inside ear canals to maintain the best seal. So my experience is purely on the closed nozzle vents.
Also the stock tips are straight into the trashcan because of its softness, theres no way anyone can just have a proper seal with those tips. If you somehow are gonna buy this, prepare some extra aftermarket tips as well.
If you somehow (god bless you) can fit with the stock eartips, you might as well want to "tape modding" the nozzles (look around on youtube there are plenty of).

Bass: One of the best region in this set. Emphasis is more on the subbass than the midbass. Fun sounding with good amount of slams and hits. Is not gonna bleed in the midrange in any track ive tested.

Mid: Upper midrange is a little bit scooped in my opinion, but plays wonderfully on the lower midrange, which makes this set more suitable for male vocals than female vocal. Feels clean and natural nonetheless without being recessed in busy tracks.

Treble: A little boosted with good extension but can somewhat feels a bit harsh on some specific instruments. Is not the most detailed set in this price point, but gets the job done and provide a "quite" balanced tonality.

Technicalities: Decent for the price and its 1DD config, thats all im gonna say lmouse

Pros: an actual cheap set from the big ass name Senny that actually sounds decent (with lots of rolling of course)
the shape is extra good and small size comparing to chonky ass shells that many brands are chasing
balanced tonality with some boost here and there, easy going sound signature

Cons: the included accessories are trash
the "dual tuning" system is just pure gimmicky and hell i would say people would just use it
not usable right after unboxing, you kinda have to mod your IEMs like your mech keebs
short nozzles so it wont fit everyone

Conclusion: released in late 2023, the IE 200 is still a strong competitor after 2 years, but with the design flaws, its somehow irrelevant in the scene right now, when there are like 5 new sets every week. But for 150 bucks, if you want a big name to appear in your ears and listen to their new IEMs' house sound, the IE 200 is still a decent pick with great bass and good treble extension. I cant really recommend this set to everyone but for people who are looking for an easy-to-listen set with a comfy shell shape, you can consider getting one
Personal score: 8/10, 4/10 if you are actually buying this set at its MSRP (ffs its 150 bucks)./.
