or the zero blue
ff you want some more traditional subwoofer experience
im using that pair for fps
so thump thump
not the zero og
the pair is sorta bright neutral
not that suitable for rap music
ALL HAIL KING VAMP
tripowin piccolo short review
fit is trash
cable is trash
tuning is so so w shape
4/10

hands on a discontinued product
ex-20$ benchmark
found it in my jacket's pocket kekw
wait, its discontinued?
IEM Tierlist for rhythm gaming / mapping / charting (based from my own experience):
S: EDA Balance, Tangzu Wan Er (XINHS RB Cable)
A: KZ ZSN Pro, Tangzu Wan Er
B: CCA CRA
C:
D: Moondrop Chu
Will update everytime i bought new IEMs
Price to Performance is considered
IEMs on hold: Tanchjim Ola, Simgot EW200
discontinued thingy
rumour that the zero series from truthear will also be discontinued this year
tanchjim tanya review next week
also the truthear hola + moondrop blessing 2
dude money do rain sometimes
man
treble for tech listeners
but has to do it right
some brands are infamous for their fucked up highs
yes trn included
i loved my hola's
i got a pair of buds fe's and i have been using them for music

New to audiophile here ๐ . but heres what id like to say about the TRN MT1 PRO
- The bass is eh moderate, not bad as people said. ||Though It can get harsh a bit||
- the mid/highs id say well balanced and I will say some people will not like it ||same as the bass, can get harsh a bit||
- has like a warm sound to it
- instruments and vocal (mostly vocals) sounds much clearer and pleasant to listen at
Conclusion
I'd say it's worth the purchase for newbie / looking for a proper earphones with a tight budget or not wanting to spend too much
Haven't really tried to play much EQ it lmao
update: my space travel just suddenly stopped charging in the left side
found out during a jogging session
๐
checking real quick
since warranty is a pain in the ass
does it have ip rating
prob not
but even my budget iems cant be ripped off that fast

Hm
welcome to the rabbit hole
dude i think windows fucked up my volume
everything just sounded quieter
for some reason
ok i fixed it
fucking hell
apparently i plugged in my headphones cable in the wrong way
and IN the wrong audio jack

smartest audiophile on earth
its funny how i can notice the quality drop right away but i couldnt figure out the reason
you gonna want to upgrade a way up to em6l
since the difference from 500 to 1000 is shit minor
1st impression on tanchjim tanya (tangzu fudu verse 1 is in my ears rn)
old sub-$20 vocal bonker
loads of eartips
mild v shape w/extended mid
vocals should be pog
also due to the bullet style iem, it should fit everyone
not fan of the design
- qdc
at that price
๐
might as well get something else
I wonder how good the batt life is
planar + ldac,,,
there are kilobuck iems that use qdc
so its preference
kekw
thats true
I just like 2 pin more
qdc breaks faster imho
easier to replace
homie have you ever seen mmcx thats broken in 2 weeks
thats in my ie200 pair
2 weeks and die
I generally avoid mmcx due to stories like that ๐
its somehow more comfortable than 2pin
wait I actually have mmcx iem
and thats about it
thankfully it seems robust
breaks so fast people would thought that their pair died
and on god
sennheiser replace cables are extremely expensive
might sell my pair in no time
kekw
sennheiser has always been expensive
the whole pair is $120
(secondhand)
and a single pair of cable is $60
๐
homie singlehandedly carries the value
man there are literally iem cables costing hundreds and thousands of dollars
and people would still buy it because "it changes the sound" ๐ค
welcome to the audiophile placebo
we ballin in $500 worth of cables
to tune the sound

๐ฃ๏ธ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
to prove they have hobby

me when spend 1000$ on audio equipment for <1% improvement
some people believe that the dac chips have their own sound signature
while in fact, dacs shouldnt change the sound in any aspect
kekw
tried ess, cs, alc, cx
so if you want to upgrade the dac/amp
its when your iems/headphones need more power
not when you want a different sound
imo, the benchmark for any iem should be ~$500
anything thats above the price
is about feelings
rather than stats or specs
I only tried cx and kt chips so I cant comment on that yet
idk about one being "brighter" or "warmer" but the only difference I can tell is the volume scaling ๐
thats the point
variations is endgame ๐ฃ๏ธ
even demoed the ifi go bar
which is the sub $500 dac king
the only diff is the amount of power
zamn
I wish there was a place here in ph that also allows us to demo some audio stuff ๐

my local audio store allows us to demo some available thingy
not the kilobuck stuffs tho
sometimes i go and meet my friend
who has a ton of these things
gotta scam fast
thats cool af
here its always blind buy ๐
unless you know someone who shares the same hobby as you (wasting money)
Blessing 3:Dusk sneak peak @ CanJam
supposed to have a configuration of 2dd+2ba+2planar
2 planar drivers thats crazy
should need some decent source to pull this thing off
also "moondrop qc"
my friend's blessing 2's faceplate fell off after 2 months
wow I really need a new TWS
after using Starfield 2 for quite a while now that I feel like my Redmi Buds sound like a shit
any recommend?
under $30 will do
Is space travel any good
JESUS THEY TRYNA CHARGE 100$ for A 20-30$ BUDS HERE
WHAT
nah iโd rather wait for aliexpress to ship it. ๐ญ
seems okay but takes a LOT of time to deliver
neat
clean
nahh its not mine ๐ญ
treble is a pain in the ass for some
(not for me tho)
also the huge subbass boost
and slightly thin vocal
especially female ones
my 1st impression would be
for the instrumental gang
not for vocalheads tho
oh
Kiwi Ears Forteza: Not for the Majority
$59 MSRP, should be cheaper if you buy it from online marketplace (Shopee, Ali, Laz, etc.)
Fit: UIEM-shaped, so the comfort is pog, nozzle is on the middleground in term of length, so most people can fit those easily.
Cable: no microphonic from my copy, decent for the price (quick check, my Kiwi Ears Quartet has the exact same cable as the Forteza, and the Quartet is twice the price).
Build: lightweight, resin is alright (no bubble throughout the shell), can wear those for long listening sessions.
Source + Music files: note above, you can look it up
Soundstage: decent in width, just sufficient in height, have no problem in target pinpointing in tac.fps (tested with CS2, Valorant, R6S).
Bass: subbass monster, the bass is punchy as shit, even with the rumble. But in busy tracks, the Forteza has somehow slow bass and a lil bit lack of control.
Mid: As a pair of v-shape tuning IEMs, the midrange (especially the lower mid) is a little bit recessed, so vocalheads can just stop reading this scuffed review from here. Its recessed on the leaner side, so the vocal sounds a little bit thin to my ears.
Treble: sparkly as fuck, im fine with it, but some people can find this pair extremely fatiguing. But to me, the treble extension from those is some of the most insane thing ive listened within the price bracket.
Pros: Build Quality (UIEM-styled)
Bass Amount
Gucci Looking
Comfort
Soundstage is decent enough even for gaming
Cons: Treble is not for the majority
Mid is a little bit thin, so vocals can sound dry
Personal score: 7/10
Genre: Electronic, Instrumental, Every shit w/Insane bass
not recommended for weeb playlist
||gonna cop the orchestra lite + dusk and imma flee from this endless game||

source updated:
Truthear Shio
Moondrop Dawn Pro / iBasso DC04 Pro
Anyone has recommendation for tws under 40$?
would be good if it has the same eq graph as ZSN pro
space travel
be a space traveller

then just list best musically iems
sorta tierlist
imma experiment around
doubt so
for osu's case, you are listening to 192kbps mp3 file at best
otherwise its a very crusty 128kbps
so there isnt much you can do here
for sone reason i just kept forgot
im not sure the case for other rhythm games
for malody its even better (ogg lol)
so imma just advise them to kz then
i would say for rhythm game player, comfortable fit and non-fatigue tuning is much more important

cough kz edz cough
also courtesy of this https://discord.com/channels/316545691545501706/1147567314594705479
wireless bud should also be considered
i use my airpods to game
because lets be real, having wire getting in the way of your play suck balls
good point
like some pairs of iems
have the tendency to be crusted when having low quality music source
so just a so-so pair should work
and some wireless sets
now have the 2.4ghz dongle
so latency-free
blessing 2, orchestra, timeless, just to name a few
this ^^^
there should be a separate list
one is for gaming
and one is for sound quality
for sound quality just check crinacle lol
crinacle goated
homie hop on so many collabs that the marketplace is sorta
saturated?
not hatin on him
but yeah
the same tuning w/subbass boost
ngl hbb collabs are actually a lot more interesting
if you ask me
also same opinion to nero
stupid question (which does not relate anything about the topic)
the way homie just called the chu 2 the $20 god
iOS has any good EQ app or nah
๐โโ๏ธ
the only reason i havent hop on ios thingy
is about music player shit
have to get myself a dap when i cop that iphone

though dont quote me on this i dont use ios
maybe send EU a passionate email about how it is unfair and they mayyyy do something
just like emulator

which suck
๐
Qudelix 5K is the systemwide EQ for Apple Ecosystem

hardware?
yepper
kekw
that could work
w/that 1/10 tier moondorp app
would be rejected in 5 seconds
โฟ
besides that
nothing much
cope
oh, that's what i also hate about him ๐
but his settings are goated frfr
my last purchase probably
nice pair
could you do like a
review after using for a few days
since in my country
we have this pair at $90
ok sure
my first impressions were boring and neutral as fuck
but now idk
track dependent ig
i need some time w it
osu
๐๐๐
then use musicolet for making a music library
for streaming then mostly yt music
I have some flac files (mostly for my favourite tracks) but the file size to detail or enjoyment ratio just isnt worth it imo
neat pairs, man
also, like the cables
stock cables are getting good ๐ฃ๏ธ
damn
didnt seen that letshouer havin decent stock cables
kekw
the stock cable on the s12
is absolute trash
hows it
thats probly better than the galileo
i still need more time for the gali
been having mix feelings lmao
smooth tuningwise
need some more time to have exact review
since ive given this pair to my teammate for like
3 month-ish
kekw
giz collabs are tent to have the vocal thingy
since his taste is mainly female vocals
give it more time
the vocals is pretty good
but i feel like for making the vocals more pronounced, the instruments along within that frequency range can get too forward either
or idk
i cant really put my finger on it
but somewhere around 4-8k is hurting my ears
thats somehow how the vocal iems are tuned
tanchjim kara or the kato
imo
all having some sib in the upper mid - lower treble
i have that exact mixed opinion on the kato
sold it btw
is this thread only for iem specifically or all of audio stuff in general?
i wanna ask for cheap headphone recommendation
i have good sounding iem, but it kinda caused my ear to be hurt when wearing it for too long
and sometimes it like to fall off, that contribute to the pain too

its audiophile thread
so everything related to audio stuff should be allow
ok
i have a demo session at my friend's place in a few days
he has a few pairs
gonna tell you later
alrighty
budgetwise?
thanks dude
honestly, between rm100-150
gonna ask my homie later
20-31 usd
hi
i am the guy thats hanging w/headphones
@stable shard u can ask me
about headphones related

bye bye world
ok lets speedrun
need good sounding cheap headphone
Aroun' 20-31 usd
or rm100-150 in my currency
wired/wireless any but prefer wire
gaming/music, i game and music aswell
so maybe somewhere in the middle
for uses
im planning
well
just to put it on my room mostly
or in rare occasion
i have it outside
kk
i generally dont recommend razer but considering your budget its kinda tight
so here
you gonna recommend him a razer headphone?
- Razer Blackshark V2 X
- HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 (if you want better sound quality than the core)
- HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 core (for better comfort)
@stable shard
headphones with decent quality at this price are mostly gaming brands
hmmm
just headphone + a microphone
yea that is better
i got too lucky for getting a shure srh840 for 50 bucks that i cant really give recommendation for cheap headphone
but most headphones around 30usd looks like shit
but i heard good thing about koss's budget line
and its uncomfortable af
i was just about to talk about koss
a legend
yes, i know it has a very radical design
id probably get make fun of if i wear this to my university
but it earn its spot in the audiophile community for a reason
also for this price point i really dont expect those gaming headset to have good fit/comfort in a swellingly hot day
ear clip fit just hit diff
yea
its very limited lol
Ok thanks babe
i'll look it up after im home
๐
check prices
they might be a little bit out of the budget
but probably not over 5$
some old recommendations from similar price range ive seen were
- Philips SHP9500
- Samson SR850
- Superlux HD681
The last recommended headphones ive heard was jbl tune 710bt (you can still put aux cord for wired)
if you can get it on sale that is
it drops to 35usd here in ph with vouchers from time to time
noted ty
i use the shp9500 rn and its way over 30usd lol
the lowest one you can probably find is 50usd
the market price is around 80usd rn
i sniped them for 60usd tho
steal
does the jbl tune 710bt really go that low?
yes
no way
most of them that i see rn are like
80$
to 100$
theres some thats 50usd or less
but its either scam or 2nd hand
and also
will you really buy the Samson SR850 and the
Superlux HD681
they both look like shit lmao
bruh normal price here is like 50-60$
it goes down to 40$ mostly with vouchers
different country moment
some shops do be sus thats for sure
im waiting for the sony xm6 release ๐คค this year
or the sennheiser momentum 5
next year
but like theres a lot of good reviews for some shops
one shop is where i bought the razer viper mini from and they are selling the 710bt for like the same discounted price so ig its legit
zamn
try iems
less expensive for same performance
i already have good headphones
i dont need iems lol
- im lazy to buy an adapter for my phone
just to use an iem on it
my wireless headphone is already capable enough to listen to basically anything
im just not into the headphones rabbit hole yet (its too expensive)
edifier wh950nb
o
ive seen some compliments from some forums

aw
but im questioning myself everyday about "is this headphone worth the money"
its worth
it
trust
ive already made 4 of my irl friend buy them
because i let them listen to mine first
lmao
these guys are sniping the discount vouchers just to buy it

so it must be good
the build quality is pretty good
sound is gunga
if u use them with an eq
๐คค
has insane battery life
and great comfort
the only problem i have is its quite heavy
because of its 55hrs battery
bro think i have 700 ringgit
get that done first
lol
yea im using them rn
lemme see other first
its crazy good for its price lol
meybe cheaper
if u can get them with vouchers its a steal
what about for gaming usage
i am using it for gaming too
i have superhuman hearings
with it
i use the shp9500 for my desktop
and the edifier for outside usage
its the best audiophile headphone for its price
at the time when i bought it
idk now tho
@sand fossil is kraken X good tho
i honestly kinda like this design
vibing
with it
wearing it make you feel like you in the 90s
but you get make fun of 10000000%
what about the noise isolation
you know, i hope moondrop make a good cheap headphone
and shake the headphone market
like how they did with chu
i mean

zero:red fits in my ears
one of a few pairs that i actually have to use aftermarket tips
kekw
this is the first time I tip rolled this iem and I love it now ๐ญ๐ญ
but its already pending to be sold later
gg
god i love moondrop and qc issues
kek
kekw
hell nawl
@stable shard did u buy new headset yet
if not then add this to your list: jbl quantum 100
its exactly in your budget and theyre quality
probably better than the blackshark v2 x
in both price and quality
๐
I will not accept this Wan'Er slander
:(
Even though tbh I would personally prefer the zero2 but I believe Wan'Er is not completely irrelevant as a budget IEM, it's still a solid choice for vocal lovers/bass haters
Plus you can't complain about Wan'Er's build while zero2 also has a plastic shell lol
and imo even though it is plastic, the shell on the wan'er is a lot more comfortable to wear for a long time when compared to the zero2
idk why but the cable for my kz zsn pro x is still holding strong after accidental abuses
bass haters ๐
the waner still has sufficiently good bass
Yes it does, but it's not enough for me lmao
I meant that as a comparison to the other competitors in the price segment
Chu II, Hola, Zero2 etc
mmmmmm
real
stay away from this shit
i was expecting some subwoofer type of bass sound
it sounds like 1dd with just boosted bass in eq
wtf
just get an ak6

holy box
I know it's going to be a good music player
but no idea if it's gonna be a good phone or not
yeah, pretty much the most important thing
lets hope its not gonna end up like xiaomi
I have a feeling that is just a mid phone
very well might be since its their first attempt at making phones
but hey, at least the phone looks pretty hot
high sex
guys do not buy edifier products they are a piece of shit
worst customer service ever stupid china brand
do not buy shits from them
go play with sennheiser or sony instead
my headphones has a problem (creaking noise very annoying when wearing and it really affects real-life usage) and i wanted to use the warranty to get a new one and they wouldnt let me saying its a normal thing
while 2 of my other friend has the exact same headphones and they dont have that problem when only i do
and theyre still sticking with the same lame ass excuse saying its normal
and they wouldnt let me use the warranty even though i have a 1 year warranty
and they just told me to get a refund instead so stupid
and u know how annoying and slow it is do refund shits in lazada and shopee whatever
i gave them 1 star review and blacklisted them from my account
damn blud have a full character arc in... check note.... 4 months

they made me start my villian arc
lol
but yea i expect edifier to be a poor man sony with all the downside of one
im just gonna wait for sony xm6(around august this year) or sennheiser momentum 5 (prob summer next year)
so whatever
i got unlucky with it too
jesus sen momentum?
kinda sucks
dude whats wrong with me and faulty electronic hardwares??????
first was the bs4 now headphones
skill issue

nah thats cope
grrrrr

also remind me to buy my replacement cable for the shure again
bought one and they just cancel my order

yep they are similar in price of sony
just buy hd600 and be done w everything
then theres nothing bad recommending possible "endgame" headphones so they can stop wasting money anymore on audio doesnt it
also it was a half joke as well
280 is a lot for a wired headphone no matter how audiophile community want you to believe
also keep in mind that the hur dur 600 is open back too
fr 280 is so fucking expensive here where i live
which depends on use case is a terrible recommendedation
true, but still not a bad advice to just get one good product and not dive into the rabbit hole
that is if sq is really your highest priority
thats on the buyer to decide if they want to burn more cash
the koss cost like 30 bucks
is the hd600 9 times better?
most likely no
thats on the buyer to decide
the value proposition already fall off once you venture outside of the 50 bucks
under 10?????
cheapskate moment
uh idk try finding secondhand chu
it might be possible to find moondrop quarks at that price
do you think your dad would mind having a USB-C IEM @verbal peak
@verbal peak
no need anything fancy
eh his phone dosent have one and
as long as its detachable
?
hm
you mean his phone does not have USB-C?
bruh wow
I guess if you're only willing to spend 10 USD
you don't have much of a choice besides the CCA CRA
you can try to look for a truthear Hola
how do you even find a truthear hola for 10 usd
hey um
i just broke my iem lmfao
i need recommendation asap
budget is below 25$
๐ ๐
25 bucks
for the majority
wan er
chu 2
prolly kiwi cadenza
any idea on why not to buy KZ?
to my perspective
kz is just
not the best thingy
also the tuning
too generic v shape
I see
well this zsn pro that broke is actually my first iem
kz is fine
decent start tho
not gonna boycott or anything
but yep
not for me
too generic
v shape is non fatigue and work for a wide range of mastering quality
maybe buying a new one actually feels like an upgrade
ironically one thing that they (and the wan'er) suffer is plasticy goofy ah build quality
which is hilarious since its just 20 bones
kz cable is actually a thing
๐โโ๏ธ
thing that i do when i use zsn pro is that i had to get rid of some mid bass freq to actually feels appealing in my ear lol
then you might find a less aggressive v shape to work better
chu 2
@patent bronze hmmm, sound signature wise, you can try salnote zero
actually im kinda clueless the whole time
~~what is V shaped ~~
@patent bronze you notice why its called "v-shape" from this image?
from the frequency response graph
yea ig
you can see several shapes
uh huh
(shape-ish im blind ass)
v shape means
elevated bass + treble
and recessed midrange
so you can see the V thingy
the one on the middle ?
yep
mid range is where the vocal usually is, and since our ear was conditioned to listen to speech, this is our most sensitive region
which usually require iem tuning to dib a bit in the mid range
but the midrange is less recessed
holy
yeah
ok scratch that
No like
the audiophile hobby
i mean, some audiophile will probably judge you
but screw them

just buy the thing that you feel like it
like for my take
Wait no hold on
what's the bluetooth headset called

I forgor the name
oh yea you can buy tws
Ah ye tws
they have extra bass due to all the extra electronic creating resistance
true wireless
if you want that cannon-ish bass
buy every jbl you can see
and you should be happy
I've tried my friend bassy tws, it sound really sucks
which one?
its joever
its bootleg
genuine one is 15 bones
but yea that graph is dick wank wank

โ ๏ธ
bro just counter the target
WAIT
bruhhhhhhhhhhhh
so basically
i mean, if you played around with eq you should already notice
that's why I tend to not focus when having conversation real time

ye
maybeee kiwi ear cadenza?
30$
less treble relatively speaking
Yea
๐
bro wants hearing damage
honestly
if you just want a good vshaped iem
and you like the kz house sound
then just get the 5$ edx pro
bruh
that means my first iem actually kinda good to me
K i think im going for chu 2
wanted to try something new
i mean it is new lmfao i only owned one iem
ever
yep goodbye 19$ worth of savings
i need to +rep for my wired headphone
the shure srh840, i would be a bit hesitate to buy at its full price of ($200) but if i can buy used for half of that price i would buy it in a heartbeat
and i bought it for 1/5 of that

imaging is probably not the best for that price (its not like i have anything to compared) but hot damn the out of the box tuning is so clear
not too bright so i don't feel uncomfortable listen for long session
man I also want one :(((((((
It has been my favourite at that price point
but all I can find are either SRH840A or crappy used SRH840
like with the leather headband peeling off
ok so.... I'm looking for a budget (<$30) tws for my friend bday
Is Space Travel still a good option?
My friend's whole point is just to listen to music anyways or is there any cheaper option
Just get the space travel
Trust
Literally the only thing I don't like are the eartips
Everything else is basically perfect for this price
there's the ht05's i guess?
idk if they're are at 30 dollars right now tho
they're not nvm
tbf mine is also very used
but if it work it work
cosmetic be damn
well I also don't have a problem if it's doesn't literally peel off and mix into my hair
I'm not a very good lowballer lol
she's home
My first impression is
why is it sounds quiter
i already put on max volume and it's still kinda quiet
idk check connection
these thing should sound plenty loud unless you want permanent hearing loss
otherwise errr, welcome to moondrop QC

yea we can tell
bigger impedance = require more power to drive otherwise it will sound small
but in the range of these iem
they dont really matter
they are not driving some massive drum
most of these chifi iem just go with 1x10mm dynamic drive config
which require pratically nothing to drive
also impedance is only half of the equation
there is also sensitivity (electricity -> loudness) measured by db/mW
which actually have a much more direct relation to how loud a headphone can be
man
you give this much eletricity power (in mili watt), the headphone get this loud (in decibel)
very straight forward
well i have not recommended chu 2 to you
so
๐
maybe trying another eartip that fit your ear better can help too
๐๐๐
Ok i used my old eartip
it sounds a lot better now
but still quiter
