#weird slider outline in the slider

Yea, check if your skin has a skin.json file
alright
Also, is this a newly imported skin?
Ah ok
It's ok if you don't see one
Give me a moment
@zenith escarp create a new text file inside the skin folder called skin.json, and insert the following to the file:
{
"Slider": {
"sliderHintWidth": 3
}
}
okay
If it becomes too thin, you can increase the number here
If it's still too wide, decrease it
tyty
Ok
uhoh
Can you try to reimport your skin
that doesnt sound good
The game will convert the skin.ini into skin.json
mines just a zip file with the folder of the skin in it
instead of the osk file
cause my device for some reason cant download the file as an "osk" file
You can zip the content and rename the file to osk
oh
Afterwards just let the game do the work
it did not cook
i figured out why,
it doesn't cook
it extracts into a file then into another file
bruh
still not resolved btw i didnt cook.
it reads the osk, then it extracts it into the skin folder. but instead of normally extracting it, it extracts into a folder, then into another folder
like skin>seoulv10(game reads this one and will display no assets)>seoulv10(this is all the assets of the skins
because of that it wont convert the skin.ini into a json file
move the second folder outside
yeah i do that and it still doesn't convert
oh
yea yea
it only does that after extraction
so you gotta fix the osk itself
💀
in the folder that contains all assets of the skin, select all files inside there
and archive them to an osk
will try
i pray
no change
ive given up!
but this is the zip folder
B( it extracts perfectly but didn't do anything to change the skin.ini
can you send the zip file here?
I'll see what I can do
Converted skins have a hint by default
That's the reason of that outline
By "converted skins" I mean those skins that comes from osu!stable which have a skin.ini instead of a skin.json If you want to override this you should place your own skin.json file in the skin folder.
You can place an empty skin.json file to use defaults (no slider hint/outline):
{}
if i do this, it removes all the things that should supposedly come with the skin.ini
like font-size, font-colours, combo colours
but it does remove the outline
whats the format for the skin.json?
or is it like the same with skin.ini
like different naming system
That's... not so great
It has a different naming system yea
Alternatively you can use my tool https://rian8337.github.io/skin-json-editor/
An editor for the skin.json file, used for skins in osu!droid.
now this is poggers
so i just slap whatever here into that json editor?
with the corresponding values?
Yea
it cooked, W mans
only downside is only 1 combo colour and the number on the hit circle being funky
for combo colors, separate them with a comma
