i will change my mousepad soon
that one is temporary
tho i have an amazing gaming chair
yea bro everyone that sees it are tempted to grope it
1:1 booba mousepad

2 booba mousepad
fyi i dont have mousepad
i use my tablet surface as one

lmao
how does that feel? is it comfy or does it suck ass?
its fine, but one can say the same for any relatively flat and non transparent surface really
though the tablet surface is a bit more rough than my desk so i prefer that
hmm i see, ill take note
do not do that if ur playing games like fps tho
or something that requires a lot of accuracy and precisions
but in overall recommendation
just get a mousepad
its only gonna cost u like 10$ for a decent one
and its gonna last you atleast 2-3 years
i decided to mount the desktop myself with help, this is how its going
finally using the fucking desktop
and a fucking chair with fucking back
(sorry for the bad words but i was really frustrated all this time waiting and waiting for this)
i was like that too back then
now its annoying to see a lot of cables
lights off (i am always with them off)
the screen isnt thaat close
here I'm touching the screen with my finger
barely tho, so its ok
theres even more space between the screen and my eyes than before ngl
well i was frustrated more for having to wait until someone helped me because the table is so heavy, but luckily i ended up doing it myself without needing help
wym?
i amr did exercise moving this table, its heavy as hell
i bought more rams
same, i got 2x1gb more :D

Cuz I'm planning to get new keeb
its fine
i used it for 2 years and i had no problems
but how much is your budget
theres much more better ones than rk61
for the price
i use that to play codm or hsr ok
but most of the time i play hsr on tablet
way better experience
why not on laptop? shit cant even run csgo
well technically it can but
10 fps
yeah
idfk why
processor is decent tho
it says
GPU: Intel UHD 620 graphics or NVIDIA GeForce MX250.
well
yeah i guess
@timid elm oi
not much lmao

thats it (for now)

2nd time of the year (we are in march) in which i make any change because i feel like it and def not bcs i saw a roasting osu setups video!
added a bit of height to the laptop since it was pretty annoying to have it on the same height than the keypad cable and the usb hub
3rd time in the year and not even half of it passed, this time i moved everything in the room so i could put the desk where i wanted the first time, i still need cables and all to put everything how i wanted to put it, since the server cablel for example is just like 1 meter long, and the xbox one is even shorter, so yeah not the best position for everything, but also better than i first thought (also this tv is way bigger than the other one so ye less space bcs of that too kinda)

I see
is lenovo loq good in competitive games?
I'm planning to buy a Lenovo LOQ 15AHP10 in late november/new year
tbf even normal laptop could play those games
actually maybe not deadlock since you need dgpu
but sure my setup could run those games easily
but it does have 5060
Me with 3060 π΄
me with 3070 π
Me with integrated gpu
me with 5060 ti 16gb in 2025 π΄
okay maybe i won't
i saw multiple posts about too long response time
30ms
maybe in the summer i will buy legion 5 or something else with similar response time
bruh if 5060 ti is old im a fossil
(4060 ti)
then im dinosaur
then im already extinct
Agnes tachyon addition
kinda wanna add another light source

thank you for reminding me to update this soonβ’

would be i5-12400f to i7-12700 upgrade
if you can somehow polish that table it'll look infinitely better
like a gloss paint maybe
my bro
after we done renovating our house
last minute adjustment to an i5-14600k since the 12700 seller cancel my order
overall, not my proudest choice
double the tdp for 10% uplift in perf compared to the 12700
and i probably dont even get that due to the thing just kinda throttle
oh well

256gb ram upgrade when
2028

and its not like you are specifying what kind of ram
soooo
x99 motherboard with 8x32 ecc ddr3 ram it is

for reference can be have for roughly 300-400 bucks
you can buy a prebuild with that right now as well (for 1200 bucks or less)
ddr5 bro
imagine how much that would cost

an arm and a leg
it's time
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X3D
GPU: RTX 5070TI
Memory: 32GB DDR4
Storage: two WD SN5000 512GB

Audio: SteelSeries Arctic 7
Keyboard: Rapoo V150S
i dont need a laptop anymore

no we arent
wadahell
5070 ti

how do you have ryzen 7 5700x3d and ddr5 ram?
isnt 5000 series am4
i just checked the components
and it's actually ddr4

just got it yesterday
welp ig i need a laptop
fucking Descriptive geometry and Engineering graphics
i thought i can do homework from home
i need a laptop that can handle 360fusion
give us a review too
steam os hours
maybe a lil bit more gaming
so far its just fineβ’
steamos when
game i installed
time for first impression
i am thoroughly, whelmed
my intention getting this device is to have a portable gaming system so i can a. bother to get through my game backlog (smth smth 100 games bought on steam sale, played none of them) and b. have something cool to flex when i came back to my hometown this holiday (and also to play during specific downtime in that holiday)
i would've bought a steam deck but a. steam deck is not officially distributed here, so the price is pretty bad (especially the oled model) and the used source is also limited, and similarly overprice
b. steam is getting into all kind of trouble over the fact that they distribute games here without involvement of any local publisher
so there is a none zero chance that steam can be blocked here for good (they did got a nationwide ban last year(?), now its mostly fine now but some page in steam app still doesnt response)
and having a machine that heavily rely on steam for its value proposition is uh... not a great idea
the other options (legion go, msi claw, ayaneo, gpd, etc.) are massively overpriced with zero support software
basically just throw you into windows and say "have fun tweaking"
not saying that asuck software is any good, but its something
so yea rog ally it is
i made sure to get a z1 extreme model for the best p/p(*)
modded battery because i heard about the tiny battery situation
i also aimed for an aftermarket 1tb upgraded ally as well
but ditto, no luck
360 bucks later, me owner of rog ally 512gb with a modded 80whr battery
its already out of warranty
but its not like they will take a battery-modded ally for warranty anyway
but either i can be certain that i am at least the 3rd owner of this chunky boi
the guy who sold it to me upgrade the battery just last year though
so the os still report 75/80Wh real capacity
the other caveat is that the battery is a very tight and janky fit
so the thermal is not really good
still fine though
so how long is the battery life
it is double the battery capacity
if its like 4-5+ hour of gaming then its pretty good
its depends
compared to the shitty 1-2 hour
i played some atelier resna on battery saving mode, which cap power to 10W
its projected for 6 hours runtime after a 90 mins session
pretty good
but several game i tested basically required me to run this at "performance" mode
which cap power to 15W
you can kinda project the time to be cut by 33%
from 6 down to 4
you can make this one level higher to turbo mode which will use up 25W at max
and that will probably have the thing last less than 150 mins
but if you want to see hell, this is the figured with a modded battery
for unmodded figure, divide it by 2
i genuinely dont understand how anyone can live with that stock battery

like you probably have to be near a charger
and that defeat the point of the damn thing

@exotic depot so yea, if you want to buy a rog ally, buy the ally x or at least a battery modded ally
one thing to note is that its likely that the amoury crate software (their game launcher, dashboard software) really hate the battery mod
and will frequently crash if you leave its hardware monitor on
so disable that (if needed use hwinfo and rtss as replacement) and its gucci
for game i have only tested a few
- Atelier Resleriana RW (10W): 60fps on 1080p medium preset (texture quality high) with FSR
- GTA V enhanced (10W): 40fps on 1080p minimum preset with FSR on, (15W) 50fps on 1080p high preset with FSR on
- NFS Heat (15W): 50fps on 1080p medium preset + 90% texture res
- Hades (10W): 60fps on 1080p
- FIFA 23 (15W): 30fps on 720p and still stutter everytime camera got closed up to the play, its not exactly even enjoyable this way
its really a mixed bag when it comes to battery-friendlier performance
sometimes its good, sometimes its FIFA 23
gotta consider game optimization too
btw
i just installed windows 10 on my laptop
i was thinking of installing windows 11 but my brother said nah just install windows 10
wait i might need to install windows 11 just for 360fusion
get ltsc
iirc it is
okay i dont need to install win11
autodesk just stopped bugfixing or something
still very bad
good
oh yea thanks for reminding me to update in this thread
