#What phone to buy for osu!droid?
1 messages Β· Page 6 of 1
gg
I was gonna get the S24 but then the global ver is not sd, it's fucking exynos π ||ik its an Old post, I was just checking if anyone had an iqoo or oneplus ace to check if the china rom was fine||
buy an s23 and save yourself moolah

theres are few S24s that are literally cheaper than some S23 price... its just that their from philippines, so its exynos models π
im gonna plan on buying second hand ofc
yea s23 hold it price too well
π
you think its still just worth it to bite it to buy the s24 thats exynos,,, or should i go for the oneplus ace 5,, theyre around the same price both except samsung's is 2nd hand and the oneplus is brand new,,, but china rom
I believe that our children will continue this thread about s124 ultra macro hyper nova
Guys iqoo z9 turbo is good?
@grave cairn
|| turbo or turbo+ ποΈ||
Turbo
@clear lynx
pros:
- cheap af
- using snap 8sg3, gaming performance is good enough (eg jenshin impact - high setting), and pretty overkill for daily use
- 144hz amoled screen, really good for clicking circles
- 6000mah battery, daily screen time is extremely good, around 11 hours on-screen or more, 80W charging speed is good enough for me
- smooth OS, like really smooth, i dont see any conflict with global apps
- cons
- bad design, back cover are made of cheap plastic and can easily get scratch
- display quality is meh, and many people report that their screen has burn-in issue (including me)
- bad camera (ugly as hell)
Burn-in is more of OLED screen issue
As long as he keeps the brighness at reasonable level it should be an issue
While I did mention Aquos specifically, this technique might be used in other cheap devices, potentially those that do not have the option to choose apps that can run at high refresh rate
Be careful
Truthfully, I don't know how frame interpolation is even able to show here, because if you're pushing 240 frames per second on a screen that is supposed to only show 120 frames per second, those interpolated frames are useless
This is becoming DLSS Frame Generation at this point
its not that deep, its literally just black frame insertion
the benefit is that frames stay on screen for a shorter amount of time, and thus they are not persist in human eyes for too long and introduce motion blur
this is what happen when you have a surplus of 240hz panel (sharp is a well known display manufacturer) and dont know what to do with it
obviously the marketing is misleading, but its one of the less outrageous
the panel IS 240hz
the phone can only handle 120fps
which open up a question of whether someone can bypass this limitation and effectively overclock the phone rendering rate
should put this to semi blacklist as well i guess
Haven't heard of anyone doing this tbh, but it is enough to put on semi blacklist
Kekw
Not surprised lmao
well yea, because sharp made too much igzo panels
they are display manufacturer first, smartphone manufacturer third, or fourth, or fifth
idk the point is that making phone is not their main thing
Sharp made one of the coolest devices
It was some Sharp Aquos
Ah yes I have seen this on a listing
Did not get it because there was an argument with the seller because he wanted the money instantly this time (ive bought from him before) but I really wish I get it one day though
How can you make a phone that bottlenecks itself
We live in a society.
if osu was ported to j2me i would want to get this
it should be possible like osu!droid since it is in java but also very hard
Use gay7prime wen?
yes
My limit on 60 fps is like 7 stars
Above that i cant read anything
Unless the ar is low
But i think something above 60 is gonna be good for someone like me
Is the redmi note 14 worth it yall or does it ghost touch too
redmi is mid nowaday but i dont find report of people with ghost touch on it so it should be fineβ’οΈ @steady hornet
brother how is that relevant to the question?
Alr then ill jst buy it ig
this
obviously we cant recommend a specific phone here since its always a moving target
only recommend against some of it
but feel free to state your budget and we will try to find something
though if you are pressing for having a phone soonβ’οΈ the redmi 14 is fine
just.... god its another g99 slop

Is it bad or smth
I see alot of hate about it here
Also my budget is 274 dollars
I can pay more if the phone is really good so ye
its fine, but it has been the de facto soc for every "spec-seeker" budget phone
for like what 3 years?
Ohhhhh i see
Ngl all i want is a good 120 hz phone that i can play games on without any issues (ghost touch, etc)
But kinda lost cuz there are alot of phones but have different issues depending on the brand
on top of my head i can think of iqoo z9, xiaomi mi 10s or galaxy s20 plus
Ooooo s20 sounds good
LOL
man i got bad luck ππππ₯
Mi 10s
Idk abt iqoo ngl
I dont think they are even avaliabe in here
consider iqoo to be "the modern day version of old xiaomi"
Ohhhh
So i think ill go with the mi10d
10s
WAIT IT HAS 870
This is huge hold on
i mean, you can also get the poco f3 for the same chipset
Can i get a used one
but poco is always position itself as "budget" oriented and their build quality leave a lot to be desired
depends on your market
Cuz here they sell it for like 429
ouch
Yeeee im cooked πππ
for an f3?
Ye ts country is cooked
π
But wair
Doesnt the f3 also get ghost toucb issues
Ive heard alot abt it
the x3 pro have
But i seen vids of ppl talking abt it being on the f3 too
the f3 i dont have anyone telling me if they have such issue
and its a popular choice back when too
If the x3 pro didnt have all those issues everyone would be playing on it frfr
@jolly vapor does your f3 have ghost touch?
yea let alone frying itself after 2 years

πππ
Portable microwave i swear
well now that its cracked yes
otherwise it didnt have
I am saying any GPU can run droid as long as is as good as 60FPS
It doesnt have to be a specific GPU to run Droid except if the person gets it obviously for other purposes
Let me comprehend this
Oh
Nvm
Clean as fuck
What is clean ? Xd
gor

Wayno
X3

The fon
thoughts on poco x7 pro?
Why?
Like my budget for a phone is 450$ and that's the only i found with 12/512
I need big space.
And that thing costs 400$~
the thing is that the poco (particularly the x3 pro) has gain infamy status here
used to be top choice for "cheap stonk phone", it gain notoriety after miui pushing out update that break touch behavior on osu droid
on top of being really poorly built, unable to handle the stonk soc inside it and commit die after 2 years-ish
later x series turns to using mediatek soc so it suffer the dying part less
That model im talking about was released this year 2 months ago
but now considering they are once again pushing for power hungry soc (x6 pro with the 8300u and x7 pro 8400u) and being too new its hard to predict whether that shit will happen again
and obviously there is also miui, now hyperos that can ruin your day in the most random way possible
Idk i have xiaomi phones for over 5 years now and i never had any issues
i would say, you can buy it, but there is a reason for everyone to be wary of buying one,
My phones were xiaomi redmi note 9 pro and now what i using xiaomi mi 10t
@eager cloud if you can torelate miui then sure go ahead
we have not received any bad problem reported from players using the device
I can only use miui at this point
I had samsung for 2 weeks and it was pain

idk, in my experience xiaomi has A LOT of beep with sideloading app
particularly the split apk format
For me it's only that this exact model i have, it's so weak that some times when i type too fast my discord might crash randomly
Im talking about xiaomi mi 10t
oh
My current phone
tbf that might just be discord
For me apk files always worked
disabling miui optimization to bypass their block in my experience break the phone in very weird and .... interesting way
like this
Wtfff crazy
Idk i always installed in single apk's
I never knew split apk's existed til today
ignorance is bliss i guess, either way if you can torelate miui i dont think x7 has any big issue
though once again im not clairvoyant, cant predict the future
Always when there is gonna be a issue with it i can just install fresh pure android on it
at its price point if you want similar spec your alternative is chinese-only phone anyway
Real gg
oh right.... bootloader unlock
lets just say
you cant unlock bootloader -> you cant change the android version except stock rom upgrade/downgrade
you technically can, but feel free to search "unlock bootloader hyperos 2" and look at the situation
dude i was a samsung user
and migrating to memeos was kinda a pain to get used to
im using miui android for so long that anything besides miui is so grrrrrrrrrrrr
xiaomi and their bs own package installer
and thats actually true
need to use third party
antisplit is one of them
move on lmao
i can but idk what to look for
whats your own currency?
i just type top best phones (in poland) and that poco x7 pro is the best choice
or is it truly usd?
how much gb of storage
xiaomi 12?

brother
minimum 256
im giving options
your can check it at your own stores or e commerce
it should be around your budget price range too
that goes for roughly 900pln there
you said you dont mind used
yea but that is as expensive as my phone now
wtf
weren't that was a flag ship or sum
i gave some new and exflagship
what
why bro gave me xiaomi phone when poco is xiaomi
yea
im giving options
yea
i have account there for over 8 years
i buy there always
theres a lot of options for that price range lmao
its just up to you
ive used funtouch os to "stock" android 10 to smasnug one ui 5 to hyperos 2
it's up to research
i want to have the best thing i can find for my money
primarly for osu?
then smasnug s22/s23 is your best friend ig
is there a big diff between s22/s23?
the chipset
how big is the difference
i found S24 Ultra fore 300$ but there is a throw back
it doesn't have it's back
and camera
basically
but works
im guessing you wanted to buy a new phone for a daily driver
whats the use without the camera lmao
yea XD
i think im gonna go with s23 ultra
there are some listings that are under 2k pln
if i get lucky and a little negociate i can have really good phone
wtf i can buy the camera just like that for 30 bucks?
lol
I use the a galaxy j2 core,galaxy A03S and a galaxy A14
But the j2 core its a shΒ‘t
would the xiaomi redmi turbo 3 (poco f6 counterpart) be worth buying?
despite it's flagship-level chip, i pretty much expect it to run well on overmapped beatmaps
Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3 specifications: https://m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_turbo_3-ampp-12920.php
I was wondering iphone casually using nvme as their storage right? And mostly android using ufs as their storage.. so which give more benefits?
Maybe it's out the topic but I'm just wondering
you can just search google for iphone vs android storage performance
but in general current apple flash storage offer better random i/o and comparable sequential i/o to ufs 4
yeah already explained
hello
@hot jolt points still stand
aisde the hyperos 2 shinenigans
cool
im buying to get one though
if i have enough money
crazy like xnor xnor xnor still wont run
game limitations etc etc
This is from the last 12 months, and I see some new phones
But they're mostly subpar phones that I wouldn't recommend buying, maybe with the exception of the Poco X6 Pro if HyperOS isn't a piece of crap
as usual im mapping the gibberish model name to marketing name
doing it on excel rn as google doc just freeze
and of course infinix and tecno phones have no data to map
so i need to get a different source
Oh the latest data in here only goes up to November 2023
Should I just get the entire data again?
I thought there weren't many new things since last year
but i will probably prioritize the 12 month version in discussion
as this is "current"
It's just "useless" iterations so that manufacturers sell more
So I only grabbed the last 12 months
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15T0kQJAi5DQfivcw-5zIREswx1X29re0-6_lvvXNe6c/edit?usp=sharing
here is the more readable version
honestly this is more shocking to me
and also s24 ultra a few doors down
maybe emulator spoofing idk
also yea this is sort by model name
a device can have multiple models
and i didnt consolidate them

Im gonna buy s23 ultra in about a month
Is it worth it tho?
For 2000-2300PLN
(convert it to your currency)
Ofc after tax
Because there is no tax when you buy second hand xd
Here
gg
Me contributer :D
@prime wharf check here lmao
hey guys should i swap my poco x3 pro to tecno camon 20s pro 5g lmao
i forgot to tell you on my stream, some chipsets nowadays is just a rebrand btw
MediaTek Dimensity 8020 is a rebranding of MediaTek Dimensity 1100.
Higher CPU, better performance
so should i swap out my poco x3 pro with the tecno camon 20s pro 5g
π
aight
β | Note here: POCO X3 Pro has motherboard issue, but don't use this phone.
that's why im trying to swap it out lmao
Okay, my bad.
||this gives me "oh new cpu so its better"||
Might phrase it better
Also i guess so since you already have deadboot issue
Witb your x3 pro
nope
roughly same perf
for significant perf uplift, please aim for d8100, sd865, sd8g1+ or sd7g2+ or better in the same linage
d8050 should probably be fine as well as they also have a 3GHz A78 prime core
compared to d8020's very miff 4+4 core setup

t!wiki ARM Cortex-A78
The ARM Cortex-A78 is a central processing unit implementing the ARMv8.2-A 64-bit instruction set designed by ARM Ltd.'s Austin centre.
looking at the device you want to buy im assuming you are aiming for 250-ish dollar budget
@formal root is this budget flexible
Probably midrange phone
like, how much are you willing to pay for the phone
Around 120 to 150 USD
oh
yikes thats not a lot
Tecno Camon 20s Pro 5G is truly a must have Smartphone for Camera Enthuasists which offers best in class RGBW+(G+P) Camera Sensor for low light shooting with 64MP OIS for amazing stabilization. For the fashionable you, Its stylish leather appearance gives premium touch and feel with just 7.8mm th...
bro they list this at 20000 rupee (243 dollars) did you got one of this for 150?

Not worth it for me.
πΏ
for 150 your option is very limited if you want to even have an improvement over the poco x3 pro
your best bet is once again (sigh) samsung galaxy s20 used
if you can stand china-market phone
there is the xiaomi mi 10s, redmi k50 used floating around
Those phones are flagship.
OLD flagship
2021 to 2022 phones
yep
they would still handedly beat 2025 mid range no problem
especially if said midrange is still using soc on similar level with the unholy helio g99
Even MediaTek Helio G100 (99% almost same specs)
Huge difference between Helio G99 and SD865
y axis is geekbench score
unfortunately, buying anything new at your target budget would be a straight downgrade from the sd860 in poco x3 pro
you would be hard pressed to even found a g99
maybe iqoo z9x?
The budget phone I've found: itel RS4
https://m.gsmarena.com/itel_rs4-ampp-12930.php
But cheaper
it is still a g99
i didnt say they dont exist in the price bracket
just difficult to find, and even that the g99 is still significantly weaker than the sd855/sd860
it use less wattage i guess
Oh.
this one have an sd 6 gen 1
which is just barely better than the 855
Much closer between SD Gen 1 and SD855 (AnTuTu Benchmark v10)
this is pretty much the best you can do buying brand new at this price point
so PLEASE
do this instead
they float around phone resaler at very good price due to being old and android phone depreciate in value much faster than iphone
my dad is using a mi 10 ultra i got for 200 bucks and is very happy with it
Also, do not buy with secondhand phones.
t!wiki snapdragon 8 elite
The Qualcomm Snapdragon suite of systems on chips (SoCs) are designed for use in smartphones, tablets, laptops, 2-in-1 PCs, smartwatches, and smartbooks devices.
please read pinned message on why you SHOULD buy second handed phone
especially if you are on tight budget
Alright!
always
old phone dont have to profit off you
new phone have to
otherwise why they make new phone?

PLEASE consider buying old
this is VERY IMPORTANT
and doesnt take 2 braincell to understand why
if you are already poor, why pay for nothing
bad phrasing
but still
we all have to get over the "old phone = bad" phase
tech cycle is so utterly short now people selling off their perfectly functioning phone like 1-2 years after
emphasize on perfectly functioning
i need to stress this over and over
but buying new at this price is very wasteful
its like... throwing money into fire for no reason
It is consider overpriced phone
still valuable af
not sure what you mean here
that's why they called flagship
price of phone above have fell so much its CHEAPER than your brand new option
wolfram 3300000 vnd to usd
This is example of overpriced phones: https://youtu.be/8FKHpzX3DJ4?si=YmxLMbevPoKBSosS (2 years ago)

but i recommend none of these device...
Oh
what am i missing here?
None of them
those are overpriced mid range yea
again
samsung galaxy s20 (snapdragon edition), mi 10s, redmi k40 (if you can stand chinese miui, but honestly if you used poco you would probably be fine)
If worth it (for me), I'll buy this phone (I'm not sure about that).
do note that the mi 10s screen is 90Hz, s20 and k40 are all 120Hz
feels like this is a thing i need to say on "what phone to buy for osu!droid" thread
but if you dont care about droid, another option is the lg v60
Yes, 90 Hz (based on specs)
60Hz screen, but still sd865, very beautiful display, still support sd card and headphone jack, big as fuck, optionally you can buy a dual screen accessory to make it the poor man foldable

looks like this
also please be extremely wary of what people at phone shop tell you
they have phones to sell you and (most of the time) will try to get you to buy their phone
i dont have one
I am wondering if I am the proest in Samsung Galaxy A14
i wonder if s20s are still worth buying
plus variant with snapdragon is still great value for sub 200 bucks range
there is the green stripe on screen problem but fixing it is trivial even with 3rd party repair
honestly this makes me feel tempted to buy one that has green stripes on it
you can try
i couldn't get these back in england
honestly i dont really want to buy stuff just to have to fix it immediately
i might get them
they seem to cost like 50$ lol
if they could be fixed properly that'd be amazing
it might also be too old that the battery is in rough condition as well
but that apply to every second hand phone
so ymmv
for battery, not really, its already in the backplate being glued together and shit era
but again, apply for most phone
i'm actually genuinely asking about the green stripes problem
isn't the fixing is basically to replace the screen itself
there is also laser-assisted fix
because if they are actually fixable with reasonable prices i'd get them immediately lol
but i don't know how viable they are
at this severity i kinda worry its a different reason
which will require a screen replacement
and it will be a crapshoot on its availability in 3rd party repair as even when this thing is popular its already 4+ years later
and the part supply might as well gone
how expensive are lazer treatments specifically tho
but i mean you can search for the replacement screen for 30-40 bucks anyway
feel free to search for shop support it and ask for a quota
man i actually need someone to do it for me instead lol
maybe fastcare in hcm
language barrier is so real
again if the screen went this bad it may well be beyond repair
at that point the replacement screen is not even that expensive lol
i would probably bought the s20 plus as my backup device back then and went through the whole crapshoot to tell the story
but that lg v60 (+dual screen) is too good to pass up
@sick knot are samsung phones not worth for gaming to buy because of the optimization?
you can disable gos
They're definitely good I think
Almost every good budget phone is good for o!d
Provide a reason why
You can't say "I think ... " without justification and expect people to pick up what you're saying
In my case there is lag aftet some plays
Got this phone but can't lock 120hz droid
did u try brevent
https://youtu.be/hJCnhonKRHM?si=i7YooYuAiG03jLK
Turn off MIUI optimization
In this video, you will see how to disable the "MIUI optimization" option when you cannot find it in the developer options.
Website used for the voice: https://voicemaker.in/
#miui13#xiaomi#redmi
this does turn off the ability to use split screen tho (which can be turned back on)
turn off miui optimization
and check the refresh rate thing
That will break many things
I've really only noticed that tho, what else does it do
i mean its way more broken in hyperos 1.0
but in hyperos 2 it aint that broken anymore
I can't tell, since that option got removed. When i had a Mi device
Nope not working
What's that
Specs
I've tried to play o!d on multiple phones so I experienced some low end phones playing o!d
They could run it smoothly in peak condition
Mine is low end so but I smashed it a few times (accidentally) but it can play o!d smoothly a year ago now it starts to flicker π
Becoz of new game content probably
Specifications isn't everything, but sure
Yea..
I'm gonna f destroy my phone becoz I cant even get good score out of it anymore π

Frankly speaking, 3 GB RAM is more than enough for most beatmaps
Specifications really shouldn't be an issue, but there are specific hardware that is buggy
... like Mali GPUs
Dik
pocco
iqoo neo10 good?
good
there is a bit of wrinkle with low touch sampling, but shouldnt affect anything except at extreme tapping speed
this question is too rich for me to answer
though the sd8e run like a firebrick if you really push it

ποΈ
guys, is samsung a01 core good
no
No, in terms of performance β see specifications here: https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a01_core-10314.php
i dont think it even boot into the game
due to android go strip away storage permission grant
for example this person with a03 core
the problem is confirmed by dev but when they will fix it is tba
even if does boot, this device is just miserable
i mean this will probably equate to 20 dollars, which is extremely dire for a mobile device
like no offense, but you may find something better in a landfill at this range
mayyybeeee a heavily used lg v30?
or a redmi 5 plus, or an used samsung galaxy a7 2018
or you get lucky with a heavily used poco f1 on facebook marketplace
or used xperia ace
i mean, its maybe fun to think about what is possible at this low of a price point but i really will just uh... give up and play 2048 instead
also just notice this question a week ago
did you somehow lose 300 bucks in the process?

Is a Samsung S27 Ultra
With Ryzen 9800X 3D and 96gb of RAM
With 128GB of VRAM good for osu!droid and mobile gaming?
Also a Dual 5090 Chip
is oppo f11 6/64 good?
Yes.
Oh no, that the phone broken now..
sd8g3 or sd8g4s?
same thing
For a sec I thought it was blood
π

π
@sick knot js a question, these supposed touch specs are real right? or just for marketing? (device is Redmagic 10S Pro btw)

redmagic
23 taps per second with proper technique and not just vibro
OMG, that's flagship phone tho
buy me one and i can verify it for you

jokea aside. hardware feature is only as good as the software (and firmware) support it
with how dubious android touch handling is, im doubtful
galaxy s8 plus with 1 green line
Also, some OnePlus phones may have green line issue
yeah, my nord ce had a green line before i swapped it out
π
alr understandable thanks
And also that is durable and does not brick after 5 uses
what is your budget
Just an oppo a16k phone π§
as per what he said in #filipino , it was ~20k pesos
middling budget i guess
poco x7 pro is a thing that exists if you can stand hyperos
and present the only performance focus choice that can be competitive with china only options
i wont even list those options unless they want me to
Has anyone who uses this had no issues bricking then it might be an option ig
Also not sure what you mean by that..
hyperOS in general just sucks
I didn't even update my redmi note 13 pro 5g to that
currently I still have miui 14
their bricking issue really widely exists only on x3 line
tbf, x7 rn is significantly more expensive than x3 back then
so at least they spent some of the cash on build quality and quality control
guys recommend good cheap phone
"Cheap" is relative, so state your budget and location
my poco is disintegrating
multiple lines on screen, random phantom touch, battery drain, 50Β°c on camera app ππ
pocuck
is samsung a23 5g good
125 is a pretty dire price point, you can maybe get an used samsung s20 (look for snapdragon version), used xiaomi mi 10s, used xiaomi k40
venture into big gaming phone facebook trading group (not facebook marketplace), you can get decent stuff (snap 8 gen 1+, dimensity 8100, 9100) if its used and/or have cosmetic wear and tear like a broken glass back (cosmetic only, just add a case lmao)
if you just need a good phone (not for osu droid) im gonna shill my goat the lg v60
bar the 60hz screen, its just a damn good phone
i mean, i guess you upped your budget from 20 dollars
but at this point i really dont know if you are looking for recommendation in earnest or just want to fuck with us as you keep asking for recommendation/validation in wildly different budget

also jesus how is that stinker even considered good in 2025

buy googl pixel 9 pro xl
instructions unclear, i got a samsung a01
any redmi turbo 4 pro users
Redmi note 13 4g it cheap, the phone that I use
run off the mill xiaomi budget phone
you can get an used poco f3 (not x3) for roughly the same price and it will blow a "newer" note 13 out of the orbit
i guess if you can buy it at 70-80 bucks then its fine
no, it's bad, I have the 13 pro 5g and I lowk regret
cus there's poco f7 now at the same price ffs
early bird price that is
besides that, for droid, especially in long term + certain strains i.e liveplay by screen recording or in a vc, it gets considerably hot, and there's kinda like a limit to the tapping speed I think
the note 13 4g is much cheaper though
brand new for 180 bucks iirc
but yea its still kinda shit even for its price
yeah, my friend has that and well
yup
long gone the day of redmi being competitive performance wise
the s stand for "small"

π€
hi! is samsung a16 4/128 good for droid?
its 5180 php at shopee rn and im considering it
or should I go with a redmi note 12 8/256?
drop this
get this instead
bet thanks!
i've used this phone btw but it's delayed after updating software ;w;
do custom roms help? as I also noticed people here stating that hyperos is just shittier software
it's hard for me ;w;
it might be bricked your phone
thatβs a valid concertn tbh, as installing custom roms nowadays requires additional steps compared to the old age where you just format your data with twrp and just flash the dang zip file and viola

i think redmi 12 is only on hyperos 1
actually they might not even get hyperos
so bootloader unlocking shouldnt be that hard
for global and older models yes
is it really that hard nowadays to unlock the bootloader? Iβve read some forums that hyperos makes unlocking the bootloader impossible
global has ads, bloats and stuff
while on the old models the peformance.. think of it like kinda being held off
some say they only limit 3 devices per year, but afaik thats only on China and not global
and some say they killed it, so theres no way to unlock a bootloader unless you bought a second hand one that already been unlocked before
dang
ig samsung is the only viable way to go android huh
but hey, for me id take note 12 rather than a16
i usually play o!d in my s9 but it got ghost touch πΏ
im considering the a16 bc of its amoled and its samsung so its stable
you should generally avoid snapdragon 4xx and 4 gen X
if the higher refresh rate looks appealing to you
trust me it wont
you will be opening another game support thread instead on trying to get 120hz to work on droid
i usually avoid higher refresh rate screens as most of my devices are still 60hz xD
ig the only concern i have with the a16 is if 4gbs of ram is still viable to this day
get the 5G model and 6gb variant
NO NOT THE CURSED WORD
oh wait I haven't tried to custom rom this one yet
BoOtLOaDeR

i dont think anyone here use x4 gt
Buying phone just for osu droid unreap
only if there is no money...
the second phone is convenient at least
imagine z flip 5 for droid
are there any poco f7 ultra users?
or poco f7 pro
i see that the first one is snapdragon 8 elite
and the second one is gen 3
price difference between them is massive
like 100k tg
i think its the sd 8s gen 4
which is pretty much 8 gen 3
oh it make sense now
Anyways should i get the non pro version for a slightly cheaper price or should i get smth else instead
if you already have a phone thats powerful and only want it for droid only then get non pro
u save money
but if u wanna play other games on it too then get pro
the touchscreen performance should be the same
or similar
yeah im getting non pro
im not playing genshin or zzz anyways
the controls are shit anyways
Nokia 3310
so durable it can be used to smash a skull
Is tecno pova 7 4g good for droid?
oh look more budget slop
π
i mean, at least its 120hz and i havent seen anyone complain about touch issue
but this is practically the same god forsaken g99 thats already like 5 years old at this point
good for moobile legend bang bang or whatever mobile moba you are playing, massive battery with an underpowered soc will at least give you good battery life
but for 150 freedom bucks (the price of that at my place). You can just get an iqoo z9 and get basically double the performance for 15 dollars more

i recommend iphone 17 pro max
Too much option plus filled with text.. can't believe I'm this lazy
Also pricing is diffrent currency
Hm definitely not funny
Useless thread ngl
@ember prism
kek
So basically hes looking for a phone around 500usd
He was just like me smh

you had that much money, didnt want to read for suggestion,
He's nit much of a reader in general
you buy phones blindly
later you ask "why this X phone had this X issue"
and probably goes "if only i knew"
imagine expect one answer in the ever-moving market of android phone
πΏ
dawg i myself didnt even read stuff but i know when to read if its important
holy
"If" he knows the phone market as of now
Holy how tf
Sadly he's not tech savvy
π€·
what
Opinions on Poco f7?
good gaming focus phone if
a. you can withstand the dumpster fire that is hyperos
b. you dont want to deal with chinese-only phone and their caveat
c. not looking for top tier perf for windows game emu (yes it is now a valid gaming category)
d. really if your "gaming" need is gacha or whatever big on play store (that will be "optimized" by hyperos, this exclude osu!droid)
for 500 freedom bucks its okay
What's point b? And for droid is it okay?
I know the hyperos thing, my friend has an x6 pro which apparently shuts down the phone one time on its own lol
here is a phone for point b.
https://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_ace_6_5g-14259.php
basically significantly spec for significantly cheaper than poco f7
there are like.. half a dozen other phones in this category
ditch the poco
hyper os sucks
it's ok if you are not going to update to hyperos3
hyperos sucks in general
and updating it will make it even worse
wtf specs 165hz insane
rip L
but
8s gen 4 is kinda good tho
he will be back soon
if we don't count lack of drivers

because rog phone 10 announce soon
in terms of power it's same as 8 gen3 but it's adreno 800 series instead of 700
which is may be bad if you want to play pc games right now
it's just better to get elite
not optimized i think for newer chipset
and wait for drivers
or maybe gen 5 lmao
since it's also adreno 800 series it will get the drivers at the same time
everything starting from adreno 800 series is unstable for pc gaming
you will get high fps (if games are gonna launch lmao) but due to lack of drivers you are going to see glitches
i was thinking of getting poco x7 pro but i saw it's using dimensity
f6 user here
hyperos for poco sucks major capital A Ass
poco has become a brand you buy if you're okay with dealing with its crappy OS or if you're willing to unlock the bootloader and try something else
cool spec crap os
not better than 8 elite that for sure
yeah
rog kinda mid now
samsungg

is redmagic from cn company?
ye
they are kinda entering pc emulation market
i see a lot of videos that are sponsored by them
yea its zte nubia red magic line
-2x price then rog
bruh
bawatahell
what is wrong with samsung s8+
touch issue so bad it became a meme in droid community
chinese variant
chinese verison generally better if you want to go wih poco
poco f2 pro was actually goated tbh
i had one few months ago
didnt have any issue
thermals are good
aaaand
it got stolen
good for drawing, listening to music, and 30 mins osu!droid session
Is there any phone around the $200 new range that is decent and also can have the bootloader unlocked somewhat easily
the poco f5 and f6 have good prices nowadays
both have good custom rom community if you're into that
i love how this whole thread is just about buying a poco
it just too good in terms of perfomance/money
if not counting those at least
everyone scare shitless the moment they heard the word "used"
and chinese domestic phone availability is too unpredictable
and have their own annoyance
its a safe choice
is the poco x7 pro worth it over the f6 if I don't play any performance intensive games
i believe the f series always built better, and buying newer poco subject you to even more hyperos bullshit
so i would say get the f6
ok
the only thing I'm concerned about is that the f6 is only ip64 rated instead of ip68/69
but if the overall build quality is better then ill get the f6
my f6 creaks when I squeeze the corners of the back
maybe it's just mine, haven't heard that from other f6/rt3 owners
i mean, im not you, but i would be more concerned with the durability of the glass front here
the gorilla glass victus front give the f6 more protection against scratch and drop to hard surface
its not like im gonna throw the phone into a tub of water to test its water resistance, the 4 rating should be enough to be used under rainfall already
so
π€·ββοΈ
also a bit err on the x7 pro fake leather back
though i believe the x7 pro dimensity soc should have better effeciency and thus less need of cooling
bro this decision is so hard to make
about the stronger glass front, my current phone has weaker glass than even the x7 pro and I don't have any major problems with scratches (only a few noticeable ones after 4 years of use without a screen protector)
also the x7 pro has a bigger battery
atp I'm just gonna buy whatevers cheaper and stop overthinking it
you should worry less about the outer hardware sometimes tbh
the only thing you need to watch is its ip rating, panel used and battery on hardware
thats me atleast
i mean those are exactly what discussed above lmao

tbh, i personally would pick f6 purely based on the fact that it has s8sg3 instead of lol dimensity
but he did say he doesnt game much
so be it
the only concern I have about dimensity is that it's worse for custom roms/kernels
so for me it's just more battery life and slightly longer support vs that
I mean samsung with their exynos chispet
What phone for up to 3000PLN? (830USD~)
Also did anyone ever checked if samsung z fold 6 and 7 are good for osu! Droid when unfolded?
Kinda looking forward for one of those two in the long future
Unless z fold 7 will be under 1500$ here
foldable in general is highly not recommended
due to the fact that playing the game put a lot of stress on the panel, especially the creases
and even if the price seem attractive, this is pretty much offset by the absurdly high screen replacement fee
@sick knot is 8+256gb good enough?
8gb nowadays?
For what
amount seems fine, but doesnt say much about its usability
just say what phone is it
for all i know it could be a shitty samsung a-series or worse, those budget phone with "extended" ram and its actually 4+4gb of ram which is technically 8gb of ram but its just miserable
A53 5g samsung
