It should wrap around it more accurately

Since the bottom jaw is semi disconnected from the upper lip

I suggest looking more into anatomy since its more accurate if you want to really learn faces but anime style is fine

For anime style i just use the cat method or dog method

Also think of the whole structure of the head as individual parts

The head has different shapes in it

And depending on the angle and head movement the muscles changes shapes
