#Game FPS decreasing when recording gameplay (doesnt occur when spectating Replay)
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
have you considered the fact that recording software may affect your device's performance, which causes the fps to drop?
I have tried other recorders, but they arent picking up audio
Thats why i am using the miui one
Thats literally trash
Use vidma recorder
Ofcourse
Download the cracked version
you may also want to specify what device you use, in case anyone else with the same/a similar device can give proper advice
No dude ๐
also how much does your fps drop by during recording?
It just always shows "this might harm your device"
and what settings do you use in the recorder?
Like when I play, it drops from 121fps to 90
(my phone doesnt have 90hz option)
I use 1080p120 with max everything
yes I do
do you experience fps drops when recording other applications?
poco x3 has similar stats and multiple people are able to record with it fine
so i think maybe you should contact one of them about their recording settings
Did u turn on the internal audio setting
Ye
It will probably still have fps drop
Why tf do u wanna record 120 fps anyways ๐
are u going to help him or just question him about his purposes or his device
I already helped him
Im just telling him
It will obviously lag if u try to record 120fps
Audio work too!
Alright
Use screen recorder or was it screencam by kimcy
And it actually makes the audio louder than device one
You can record up to 120 fps + with audio
Yeah kind of an issue but ye
Like the rafis spinner sound has earraped me multiple times ๐
๐
this is with miui recorder 480p max settings
Wait
I am
Noticing
Delay
๐
So do we close this or smth
I think we should
quantum
why tf are you even recording in 120fps
literally no website supports 120fps, even youtube.
you're just wasting performance for no reason
this
You should be recording at 60 FPS
Any higher will mostly not make a difference since I don't know any recorder or commonly used website that supports >60 FPS
Using a higher game framerate will only cause frame loss/lag since your game renders more frame than what your recorder can take
one can record at high frame rate and re encode it down to 60fps with frame blending to create smooth motion-blur like effect you see in some osu video
so its not like there is literally no benefit to do so
but its taxing on your device
Doesn't it depend on the recorder?
recorder record the video in high frame rate
For example, if your screen is 120 FPS, but your recorder can only pick up 60, aren't the extra frames useless?
if he set the recorder to 60fps then yea there is no benefit
it will be better to maintain a locked fps because the fps is only an aggregated metric
if its not locked then there is a possibility of frame skipping which is less than ideal for any recording
@velvet seal do you have this problem with the multiplayer client? I'm guessing not since you didn't choose the multiplayer client tag, but just to be sure that it's not the audio engine shenanigans again
Or you can test with 2nd pre-release or older
So did it occur?
I'm watching a movie in the theater atm
So I can't hear your video, sorry
mmm
audio is fine
then back to 120?
Ok, I just realized that this out of topic since the title is FPS
Sorry
Nah I already know the story, my family just forced me so I'm bored
Doesn't occur when replaying, huh...
What version is this?
3rd pre-release?
oh original problem is latest client
yes
I used miui recorder
On android 12 miui 13
and it struggled to keep up on 120fps
work from threatre

I'm bored ok don't blame me
Besides, it's almost over
@velvet seal do you know any poco F3 users who experience the same problem?
not really
Currently using poco f3
I have no issue recording at 120fps 1080p 16mbps
With internal audio
100mbps bitrate????
does you phone even have enough bd/s for that lol
at this point it looks like you're just putting everything at the highest possible thinking that "more = better"
yes
also yes
more = better
๐ค
The more bitrate the less corruption
Huh?
Not replay
noop
actually
resolutions have a max bitrate
that actually has difference
and for 1080p
its 12Mbps (actually, max noticiable bitrate is 25Mb/s, not 12)
No problem
I can play it at 120fps while recording at max setting for mi default recorder
oh so you're using the max recommended bitrate for network media
Why would i go overkill?
well
They just compress them down
i feel like the compress ver is even worse then if u do 12mbps at the start
Idk just my feeling
@velvet sealtry glip
what
its recording app
Issue already fixed.
np
How?
Dequality?
||But streaming on discord make poco drop fram rate to 100 btw||
