The only way I could see this work is if a clan squads up with both PC and Console players that they can only join a PC server. But otherwise PC players wouldn’t be able to join console servers and console players wouldn’t be able to join PC servers.

an option to have cross play turned on or off is a pretty standard setting in cross play games at least give people the option to play with their friends

Wouldnt this need to be a server owner decision? The devs just switch crossplay on, so official server all have crossplay and the community server got to decide for themselves if they want to keep it off or activate it?
A new filter for the serverbrowser would make it easier to look for crossplay server.
Though they gave us a reason why they wont do it and im fine if they stand by that.

I see no reason to turn it off, but coincidentally the match quality across the board would go downhill, which is what we should prevent. If all you need is to play with your friends then that’s all you should be able to do. You should only be able to load into a PC match if you’re squaded up with a PC player. And PC players should not be allowed to join a console server, otherwise they’d ruin all of their days.
