3rd role for recon units focused stealth and sabotaging enemy equipment, They would have two available loadouts and have faster dismantling speeds. All level 3 loadouts using rarer covert operation weapons that were fielded during the war.

Mock Up Loadout Ideas

United States:
Standard Loadout: M1 carbine/ M1911/ 1 Pound tnt charge
OSS Loadout: OSS M3 greaser/ Welrod Mk1/ 1 pound tnt charge

Germany:
Standard Loadout: Mp-40/ Walther P-38/ westfalit 1kg charge
Stealth Loadout: Suppressed Mp-40 (More info needed to verify use)/ Silenced Walther Ppk (More info needed to verify use)/ westfalit 1kg charge

British:
Standard Loadout: Welgun/ Welrod/ 1 pound tnt charge
Commando Loadout: De Lisle Commando Carbine/ Welrod/ 1 pound tnt charge

Russian:
Standard Loadout: Svt-40/ Nagant M1895/ 1 pound tnt charge
Stealth Loadout: PPsh41 stick/NKVD silenced Nagant/ 1 pound tnt charge

Let me know if there's any stuff that should be changed from you guy's research

Recon does Not need a satchel mendez_wut

Doesn’t make sense , cause all assets in the game is unbroken, no reason to add more loadouts for recon. It does make sense for recon, if buildings/structures in Hell let Loose can be destroyed or was something interactive. Like in Battlefield

I’m gonna change the loadout and remove the satchels, thinking about it it will make more sense, but satchels definitely need to be reworked in some way for it to make more since

Does that look better?

I’ve said for a long time that recon teams need a small explosive with a 15 second timer that can destroy say a garrison or a node and that’s all, no where near as good as a satchel but good enough that it helps you speed up dismantling things and then quickly bugger off

Makarov was produced after war
Soviets had silenced nagant revolver used by NKVD thanks to specific chamber movement

Maybe a compromise for the recon satchel idea would be to give them some kind of explosive with a 5-10min? cooldown but it is only able to disable/damage nodes/garrisons in a lets say 10m explosion radius which would suffice to disable a typical node triplet. and an ENGI can repair one node or garrison with 10 supplies so a support/engi team can get them back up quickly if they team up. This way recons have a less tedious way to deal with nodes while also not giving them overpowered tools and the enemy team has a somewhat easy way to get them back working unless recons spend the time to fully dismantle them and not just disable them. Regarding the weapon choices and general more loadouts for recons(every class to be honest) i am all in.

@tired echo I gotcha I’ll change there weapon to that variant do you know what it’s called?

@west stag I figured it would make more sense if they got maybe two smaller explosive packs that was about 1/2 or 1 pound of tnt instead of a satchel, I don’t think a cool down would really be needed as long as you were not able to damage vehicles in there spawn. I’m thinking I’ll make another page in tnt charges later today since they are actually a great idea, but a satchels are definitely too much more recon

Hey thats a pretty good idea not a sachel for recon but a explosive makes some sense but a little question who will have it spotter or sniper???? @west stag @hallow mortar

That sounds like a super cool idea actually. I think a smaller charge would be good for this so they’re more focused on targeting garrisons and stuff that using it offensively. Also I’m not sure if the silence MP-40 was really used but know silenced Walther PPKs were around in small numbers

Don’t know about the Welgun as it’s usage is pretty much a single instance. I thinks a Silenced Thompson, Sten Mk. IIS or a silenced M1 Carbine could fit better, Historically speaking (All of these were used by the SOE)

A Thompson and m1 carbine with an integrated suppressor? Holy CoD Vanguard. I kinda dig it

Bit late sorry. I don't think we can take production/usage numbers as an argument for including weapons otherwise we would have to boot the FG42 yesterday. I think surpressed weapons saw enough use on both sides in covert operations to justify a saboteur loadout for the recons with the spotter getting a surpressed smg with surpressed pistol and the sniper a surpressed rifle and surpressed pistol with the spotter getting two tnt or whatever charges(a la max two set of nodes destroyed easily) and the sniper two at and ap mines to lay ambushes behind enemy lines and give the explosive stuff for them a cooldown of 10-15minutes to prevent spamming. Additionally spotter and sniper get a frag and a smoke grenade plus bandage, melee weapon and binoculars/watch for the spotter. Limit the ammo to maybe 1 loaded and 2 backup magazines for the primary weapon and 1 loaded and backup mag for the secondary/pistol. This way i think they are balanced enough and pertain their potential to do a lot of "burst damage" aka a raid on nodes, arty etc. but are not able to sustain themselves in longer engagements without help or preplanning(like dropping ammo with the other spotter loadout before etc). PS: Please give the US spotter a garand rifle with the flare loadout and not that pesky carbine.
