It gets overlooked because it was one of the worst service weapons deployed in the war. It only saw limited service up till 1943 in Guadalcanal and with Paramarines.

the reising did see action on the eastern and western front during the war even in africa, it might not have been a staple weapon but it did definetly exist and was used by small forces, similar to the fg-42 i would say, only 7,000 of them were produced and the scoped variants pretty much non existant at the time, there are photos of people using the m50 reisings on ships and I know it sounds crazy but there were definetly marines on the beaches using them. https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/d-day-s-forgotten-guns-12-firearms-used-in-june-1944/ thats one of my sources.

An Official Journal Of The NRA

We all know about the M1 Garand and the Thompson submachine gun, but troops in Normandy used much more. See these 12 forgotten guns of the D-Day landings.

After all, its just another SMG, so it gets the same damage model. There are too much SMGs, and the US gets the M1

Okay first i dont think you read the part that said "But U.S. Marines participated in the D-Day invasion, and many of them did so with there reisings." also i get that you guys want everything as perfectly historically accurate as possible, but you cant do that, I mean it would be more likely to see a reising on the beach instead of a 76 tank or a scoped fg-42, It is still a game after all, and a lot of this stuff cant fit in. But if we accept the fact that nothings gonna be perfect like a lot of other games do, and introduce stuff that might not have existed yet it or really been used. Take for example battlefield 1, they embraced the fact that everything was not going to be 1 to 1, but that game is amazing and still alive today because of that fact. Im sorry if you hate this idea, but i just dont see the reason to argue against it being in the game, i mean you arent being forced to use any new ideas if they ever get introduced!

It literally says the Marines that were issued the M50s were taking the role of Prisoner transportation after the Rangers captured Point-Du-Hoc. The marines that were in D-Day did not partake in Beach Assaults leven though they trained the Army for Amphibious landings. The Marines that did take part in D-Day were tasked with Demolition by using snipers to destroy Sea Mines located by Frogman to bring the Liberty ships to shore. The only instance they’ll be in the Game is in Guadalcanal. Yeah you’re forgetting Hell Let Loose is not BF1 and is notorious for gate keeping. Just like how T17 was forced to rework and remove British weapons that wouldn’t have been used in Driel or Al Alamein.
