#M50 Reising

yea i mean it might not be super historically accurate but there not many other options for something to compete with the stg and the fg they could add into the game
marines wasn't even in europe
@mighty burrow Well?
The US has a semi auto rifle as a basic rifle which is more than enough to compete with the FG42 or StG44.
they were, look it up, it was pretty small numbers though, not everything has to be historically accurate guys 😭
It has, atleast in terms of guns which were never used in that theatre of war
you are the one bringing it up its your responsibility to hand out source your opinion based on
the reising did see action on the eastern and western front during the war even in africa, it might not have been a staple weapon but it did definetly exist and was used by small forces, similar to the fg-42 i would say, only 7,000 of them were produced and the scoped variants pretty much non existant at the time, there are photos of people using the m50 reisings on ships and I know it sounds crazy but there were definetly marines on the beaches using them. https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/d-day-s-forgotten-guns-12-firearms-used-in-june-1944/ thats one of my sources.
After all, its just another SMG, so it gets the same damage model. There are too much SMGs, and the US gets the M1
Dude it didn’t even see combat in Europe. It literally says Marines that were in Europe served as rear echelon Troops for POW detail when the Navy were transferring POWs.
I mean shotguns were not really used in Europe except by military police and people guarding POWs yet the 1897 trenchgun is in the game.
Doesn’t mean I agree with the use in the game just because it’s in it. The M50 however was only used by marines for a short time and was relegated to Reserves because how unreliable it was. Same can be said about the FG42, Panzerschreck, MP43/StG44, G43 in the Soviet maps except in some of the maps they were not even produced yet.
With the difference that these weapons were widely used once they became available in 1943
Most of those weapons were still not widely available even in Autum of 43. Sure the MP43 was still field tested but wasn’t mass produced until October that year. The Panzerschreck was definitely used by summer. The FG42 wasn’t even used in the Eastern Front maybe until the Invasion of Germany. And the G43 didn’t come around until September after the battle of Kursk.
Okay first i dont think you read the part that said "But U.S. Marines participated in the D-Day invasion, and many of them did so with there reisings." also i get that you guys want everything as perfectly historically accurate as possible, but you cant do that, I mean it would be more likely to see a reising on the beach instead of a 76 tank or a scoped fg-42, It is still a game after all, and a lot of this stuff cant fit in. But if we accept the fact that nothings gonna be perfect like a lot of other games do, and introduce stuff that might not have existed yet it or really been used. Take for example battlefield 1, they embraced the fact that everything was not going to be 1 to 1, but that game is amazing and still alive today because of that fact. Im sorry if you hate this idea, but i just dont see the reason to argue against it being in the game, i mean you arent being forced to use any new ideas if they ever get introduced!
It literally says the Marines that were issued the M50s were taking the role of Prisoner transportation after the Rangers captured Point-Du-Hoc. The marines that were in D-Day did not partake in Beach Assaults leven though they trained the Army for Amphibious landings. The Marines that did take part in D-Day were tasked with Demolition by using snipers to destroy Sea Mines located by Frogman to bring the Liberty ships to shore. The only instance they’ll be in the Game is in Guadalcanal. Yeah you’re forgetting Hell Let Loose is not BF1 and is notorious for gate keeping. Just like how T17 was forced to rework and remove British weapons that wouldn’t have been used in Driel or Al Alamein.
You think guadalcanal will be in the game?
Like this guy says, the only way to give the Americans the cool guns and be somewhat historically accurate is to have the Pacific in the game, which is more than likely never going to happen. The marines used M50 Reisings, M1928A1 Thompsons with 50 round drums, Johnson rifles and machine guns, and Springfield 1903s with the sexy Unertl scope.
they could totally add the pacific theater but, they would have to put some work in and not just make new maps 🙄, the japanese did have tanks, sub machine guns and all that stuff, they might need to make them a little better than they actually were but hey it would be possible
If they add in Italy maps, the devs could give the Americans the Johnson LMG. Americans and Canadians used the Johnson LMG in Italy in the First Special Service Force aka the Devil's Brigade, which could make an interesting faction.
you keep asking for bfv guns bro stop and get good
None of these weapons are from bfv, also I have over 200 hours in this game I’m content with my skill level 💀💀💀
I think you now what he meant. In terms of playtime: I have 1000 hours, and the first 200 were learning to play this Game Right
