SL for every faction should have access to the most basic rifle.

Soviet Union SL doesn't have access to a standard bolt action and this is a mistake due to how weapon damage is balanced.

The maps they're featured on tend to be long range, "tanky" maps.

While the bolt action is by far the best long range weapon besides the scoped ones. It's going to be a 1 shot kill, versus using the SVT40 which takes 2 usually. The SVT40 just doesn't work as good at very long range compared to the bolt.

I'm sure it's an oversight but you're gimping their SL kit compared to the others.

The Soviet forces do somewhat need a overhaul. I find it odd that the Tier 2 Support class is issued the the SVT40 but not the Tier 3 rifleman. If anything the Tier 3 SL should get a bolt action under the Tier 3 but keep the SVT40 IMO.

The svt40 is supposed to do the same as the mosin, our favorite dev team has just simply failed to fix their damage bugs.

Heard too many times from really skilled shots that SVT bullet drop higher than other semi autos.

It might be that the tip of the iron sights for SVT misaligned from the center of the screen, like with DP-27

The Gewehr 43 takes 2 hits over 100m to kill someone, while the Kar98 will kill at 125m with 1 shot. This isn't even including bullet drop which is slightly different.

So assuming the balance is similar on all factions, the Soviet bolts will still kill in 1 shot over 100m.

Not sure what the numbers are now though.

those numbers are probably very old and are inaccurate. Semi autos rifles and bolt actions are all 1 shot to torso up to 200m

eh, I've seen people recently say they tested it and the bolts are still 1-shot closer to 200m over the semi. So I think it's still the case, just tweaked. I'd have to get a friend to test it.

Still though, no reason Soviet SL shouldn't be able to use the basic bolt. Other factions can.
