#How to Improve the Sniper Scopes

Hell Let Loose has seen a few different iterations of the sniper scopes, and none of them have really nailed it. However, the best iteration in my opinion was the one implemented a couple of years ago that was a "picture in picture" style visual. The scope took up a smaller portion of the screen, and you could see the areas outside the scope while ADS. (See screenshot.)

Now this wasn't perfect. Ideally, only what's inside the scope would be zoomed while the outside of the scope would remain unzoomed - however I understand this results in a massive performance hit since you're essentially rendering two scenes simultaneously. So many games opt to have the outside of the scope zoomed in as well.

This is my suggestion for Hell Let Loose, as I feel it's the best middle ground between more realistic scopes and performance. It's already been implemented in the past too, so it's obviously doable. In addition, some small touches would take the immersion even further, like a very slight lens/fisheye effect on the very outsides of the glass of the scope. Add to that improved, more realistic animations for scoping in and out, and I think the sniper experience would be far more immersive.

There are plenty of games to look at for inspiration when it comes to scopes. The current iteration of scopes is probably the worst yet, so I would love to see this improved upon in a future update.

👎🏼. It is fine as it is, they rather should make the ADS fov adjustable and not different FOV's for every different gun with a different sensitivty. Also tune down the scope movement when you ADS .

PIP was great, caused performance issues though. I think that may have had something to do with the old bug onthe No.4, where the lense was super dark

Would much rather PIP, less strenuous on the eyes
