  1. Recon team to have a sticky bomb to mess up tank tracks or destroy trucks.

  2. Sniper in team to have the ability to put down an outpost, that recharges every 10 minutes. Max of 3.

  3. A really important but key change is that the US recon leader can choose to have a Garand. The German recon leader has a far better rifle and machine gun, so it would even things out. Again everyone i have spoken to on the game agrees.

  4. Medium and heavy tanks should have 30cal machine guns on top, so that the spotter can use them, however with the caveat that to use them they must open the hatch, so they're exposed and can be shot. A simple change of seat. I worked on the film Fury and was up close to the US and german tanks, and they them on top. Would give the crews in the game added protection against ATs.

I've spoken to quite a lot of players and they think this would be an excellent addition and give all three crew members the ability to shoot. Which is often why you get single tank crews as they wish to to the shooting.

1- Their job is to observe not destroy. 2-Only leadership roles should have the ability to build spawns. 3- The spotter should definitely have the option to pick the Garand. 4- It would be cool but like the MGs on half-track, not a viable option due to the risks involved.

  1. No, their role is to destroy/build garrison behind the enemy lines and they are already op.
  2. That is the recon's job because he is the "officer" of the recon squad.
  3. The first loadout for the spotter is an MP40 for the Germans and a Thompson for the Americans and this is equilibrated. The second loadout gives a Kar98k to the Germans and a M2 Carabine to the Americans and this is equilibrated too. Why should we change it? Kar98k isn't a semi-automatic weapon like the Garand. The M2 Carabine is a semi-automatic weapon too but most of the times it doesn't one-shot people. I think that we shouldn't change the weapons for the spotter, it's already an equilibrated class for all the factions. 4. I agree with you, it would be cool to see the tank crew's spotter use a machine gun to kill the AT guys behind the tank.

@crude locust well it would be up to the player to take that risk. Like getting out to repair the tank is a risk. The player should decide the risks.

Recon does not need a buff. The carbine is one of the strongest rifles in the game zero recoil and 1 shot kills out to 30m.

@alejack16 well maybe the compromise should be the Germans get the gewehr 43 and US gets the Garand. I've got 250m headshots with the K98 but not with the carbine. Also the Thompson can't kill much from 100 metres but you can with the MP-40. Also, the german sniper could have
a scoped version of the gewehr 43 as they used those. I think we should be given more options for different maps as they require different weapons.

Maybe a limit on the magazines for the tank spotter could mean a good balance.

@floral plume its the weakest rifle in the game bud.

1/ sounds fine to me
2/ the what? 🚫
3/ definitely. yes yes yes. emoji_HLLCommendation
4/ As someone with ton of experience in tanking.. i doubt it would be even used. I have higher odds of jumping out of tank, killing guy, and jumping back, than switching to MG seat, turning that MG toward AT, and [maybe] killing him, that's granted noone else is aiming at tank at the same time, otherwise that's instant headshot from that guy.

Recon TL should definitely have a satchel charge or some kind of explosive to disable or destroy armor and garrisons

# neon bolt Regarding your reply to the MG on the tank. Yes it would be a risk, but how ofte...

you always get shot by AT guy out of nowhere. Main issue i see there is that if you get shot from behind, as spotter you might not find where the guy is at before he reloads and shoots again. there is no time to get into mg, turn it toward enemy and shoot that enemy.
But sure, i will give other example where i find it useful - allies tanks are very squishy comparing to axis, so i can see myself using that mg when we attack point/face toward enemy, and i see AT guy trying to sneak behind us.
Other example, maaaaybe i'd use it if i saw guy with satchel running behind. But as someone who played 1k hours on infantry and around same amount on tank, i know how easy it is to just kill someone who pops out of tank, i'm sure it would be same if someone pops up on mg mounted on tank.

As someone with real world experience with tanking it would definitely be used a lot. The exposure is certainly a risk but it adds a whole new dynamic to the game. The TC will be presented with an option of whether they should get out and provide support from outside the turret with the mounted MG or to stay inside and continue business as usual. I’d say this would work great in the case of when there are satchelers or AT personnel coming up to the tank. You already get out of the tank to kill off a satcheler or AT who gets too close when you don’t have infantry support close by. Would be safer to pop out of the hatch swing that MG to whatever direction and sling a few rounds.
