Imagine storming trenches, engaging in tank battles, and dodging gas attacks – all in the chaos of World War I. I propose a new WWI gamemode to inject fresh excitement into the game.

Key Features:

  1. Authentic Trench Warfare: Immerse players in the gritty battles of the Western Front.

2.Iconic WWI Weapons: Bolt-action rifles, submachine guns, and trench clubs for a unique gameplay experience.

3.Gas Attacks: Add a tactical twist with gas attacks, requiring players to adapt on deadly conditions and are required to limit their vision with worn gasmasks.

This gamemode isn't just historically accurate; it's a chance to live the WWI experience. It brings a new, nostalgic perspective, appealing to both history buffs and gamers seeking fresh challenges.

Excited about the potential,

@shrewd coral Yeah, But i really love the realistic vibe hell let loose has, and i am very fasinated by ww1 so why not gather them all at once. After all there no such game…..

Would be cool af since I got into ww1 first, but like Sturm said, we probably won't

I feel like this is mentioning beyond the wire

I think it’s more of a “Definitely Not”

Tbf there's plenty of WW1 set games, and HLL's entire aspect is that of WW2. Games like Verdun and whatever younger cousins it has would probably be better in a way

A) this wouldnt be a "gamemode", it would be an entire new game! So its basically pontless to discuss it here.

B) look at Beyond the wire, even though its more related to Post Scriptum/ Squad(44). The game failed hard on its attemtpt to combine squad based teamplay with large frontline assaults. Basically after the first couple of minutes you'd have to make the decision to give up on one, squadplay or the massive assaults as both were basically impossible to coordinate with the communications and squad structure. You'd end up with independent squads and small scale engagements like the other games. Or with an entire team acting as one...abbandoning all squadplay, requiring more overall coordination while mitigating every players impact and indipendence. But that never happened in a public match I was part of or have seen.
It MAY work if the game works much more like "War of Rights"... but I guess thats something to be tested by another studio.

Its pretty much impossible that we see ww1

#1. Because It would take AGES to Assign correct Factions like The Russian Empire, German Empire, French, british and Austro-Hungaria,

#2. It would take a few years to research guns because they were pretty much new to the world

#3. Flags and Uniforms would take a long time to make

#4. Lots of deaths in trenches might cause a crash or just be a bloodbath which is cool but you won't get much of a chance to survive 10 seconds

5#. Ww1 Tanks were very confusing as known by the horrendous models

I would also look to either Tannenburg or Verdun, those are two fantastic games with realstic weaponry, definitely a more arcade feel to them compared to this game though.

These are times that i wish HLL had april fools events like enlisted where the devs can just kinda goof around with wacky ideas like this.

Changing or adding WW1 will make this game other game, HLL is WW2, we have like docens of other games dedicated to WW1

This is a ww2 game, go away

But Hell Let Loose 2 in WW1 is a nice idea

What? Setting the second game in another War, after this one is finished, separates nobody

Theres always stuff to add and fix, so "When this one is finished" is, well, the game will close and die before

There is already a game for this, it’s already got three games for three different battle fronts

WW1 games sound cooler than they actually are, Isonzo is the latest in the ww1 shooter genre and it's just kinda dead like Verdun and what not. I think it's a fun game series but it has no staying power at all, it's very samey. I think they should have gone the Battlefield 1 approach of putting in a bunch of 'authentic' stuff and not so much 'realistic' stuff because you can only use a bolt action for so long before you think ''aight im bored''

For the HLL devs to invest into a WW1 gamemode.. I don't think that's worth it, they gotta focus on WW2 still

I would love that

A: Squad 17 is dead af

B: Verdun doesnt have as rich squad gameplay and teamwork as HLL.

This is just a goofy idea for the far future. It isnt ruining anything about the game.

Verdun is kind of dead, isonzo is kind of dead, squad 17 is dead, tannenberg is dead, beyond the wire is dead. Theres no game totally ambiented in WW1 that is alive and with constant updates and strong playerbasel, making Hll ww1 will just take time out of the devs from the game. Almost never we got an update, like what, 3 times in 12 months?? I dont think we would even have 1 update in 12 months if they give time to that idea.

I think you havent understood my point

I do not want for years, but after they finished this HLL, set in WW2, they could move to another war
