G34 Rifle with ZF4 Scope

A possible addition for the german sniper Class would be the G43 with ZF4

Need the US to get the M1 C/D first before giving the 43 a scope. Rifleman lvl 3 should get the ZF41 tho.

No, it wasn't used in a quantity similar to the G43, thus, a semi-automatic sniper rifle for the US would not be balanced, their entire army is equipped with at least a semi-auto rifle

It wasn't used in any quantities in WW2. The M1C/D snipers are Korean War weapons. It would be like adding the AK-47 to this game, it just doesn't fit the time period.

I think in a really, really small quantity in the Pacific, it would fit as a Level 8 Loadout for a USMC Sniper

@surreal fog I know that but the US sniper class in game is crap. I would like if they added it. Idc if it’s accurate or not. They need to balance out the recon classes more regardless of use during the war.

I mean if we go down that route about overtipping the scales of balance and realism, then consider the counter balance of the U.S sniper class being "crap" being that the U.S infantryman get a semi-auto by default while the Germans are stuck with a bolt action by default.

I think it could be added to the USMC, but the problem is that the faction they encounter are the Japanese. It is already unbalanced to have a faction with alot of semi auto or fullauto against a faction with only bolt action rifles, bayonets and katanas. Sure the Japanese also had some Type100 SMGs and Type97 LMG (simular to Bren) but still if they add the Pacfic balancing will already be a nightmare + adding a semiauto sniper will make it even worse.

Yes, the Americans have enough semi-autos. They do not need another one, certainly not a historical inaccuracy

The Japanese used scoped type 99 and type 92 machine guns. If they add those to the game, they would be stronger than a scoped Garand. It is also debateable whether or not any Marines used M1C Garands and if they did, they would of been using them in the final days of the war like in Okinawa.

as far as balance goes, sniper weapons are of the least importance

True but the Russians and Germans both have semi auto snipers. Would just be cool for the americans to have one as well. The 03a4 is the worst sniper in the game so something new would be refreshing.
