#Reenable Nvidia Freestyle (Filters) and fix the actual Problem.

I still cant believe that you the Devs listen to the 5 guys who yelled here in the discord about this.
Anyways reenable the Filters with the contact from yours by Nvidia and fix the Anti Aliasing Problem instead.

Nvidia Freestyle just made the game more beautiful, meanwhile the AA changes made it unfair.
The picture is from the current patch undetectable, has nothing to do with any kind of Filters and i am happy to share it.
So please by the love of god just fix the actual problem, revert your "fairness bs" and stop listening to the yelling minority on here.

With infinite disappointment,
Kane 😔

unfortunately i have to agree with this sentiment.

if this truly is what your hardware produces, you dont need filters. you need better hardware. my game does not and has not ever looked like this

and in case someone wants to complain the former statement isnt fair or valid, i will bring up that people complaining that they couldnt run cyberpunk at full max settings on several generations old hardware is silly

i just dont see how filters would fix something already that bad

@violet grotto Invidia Inspector probably. This has been known for years and the devs should be aware but probably don't care or cannot do anything about it.

He simply means to show what could be considered actual cheating rather than some harmless Invidia filters from Geforce experience which are mostly just different sharpness filters to balance anti aliasing or colours and brightness settings. Invidia sharpness settings have been simply moved from the control panel to the filter section a while back, so without a registry edit to roll things back you just get a blurry mess.
At the very least the Devs could have put in some effort to provide more in game settings in the options to adjust graphics.
Other games that removed filters did just that (Squad).
The main argument that it is for balancing night maps is misleading as the biggest advantage there comes simply from putting brightness to 200% and thats it.

@barren cipher Don't worry nobody's game looks like that no matter the hardware; its has been edited with software

I don’t inspect for Nvidia lol. But I care about fairness and the filters were at least a fair ability that spanned across Nvidia AND AMD.

With those removed and @sharp beacon posting stuff like this as a workaround, he needs to provide detailed instructions on how to do this with the Control Panel if he’s gonna take the stance that he

A. Wants Nvidia filters Re-enabled.

B. Truly values and even playing field with filters vs. non filters crowd.

Tell us how you did it, and more people can participate until T17 adds things back. Keeping this to yourself only fuels the fire that the non-filter crowd was spreading about filter-lovers toting the grey line of “cheating”.

I will definitely not share that basically cheat.
That was just for the T17 dev who thought it would be a good idea to remove filters without thinking about anything.

Which is why the solution isn’t to privately share workarounds to comp players only, but to publicly post them so T17 is forced to respond with the only logical fix: Re introducing the filters.

It’s the same thing in other games. Devs tend to be VERY slow to correct exploits or even ban certain clever uses of game/existing mechanics unless the problem is wide spread enough to garner attention.

It doesn’t help anyone for a select group of 100 comp players to complain about losing filters, then post pics and gloat about/hoard a workaround while stomping everyone who’s now two or three steps back on public servers. It’s VERY easy to tell who’s using this stuff because it’s flat out either a filter or ESP most of the time, and even those are more common than people think at prime time.

Yes, players can improve when they play more and especially when they play against better players. They’ll naturally get better if they’re serious about it. But the playing field has to be even for them to stand a real chance.

And no, @ashen spire - I don’t work for AMD either. I’m a regular player who enjoys equal competition above all else. Posting stuff like what @sharp beacon has above and expecting people to believe you aren’t actively using it across every server you play on is just insulting. Not a personal attack against you, just stating what any competitive player would be thinking.

Not gonna happen. I will continue to make fun about everyone who thought filters are the problem until they finally understand that they are just sheeps who listen to the first thing they saw and yelled it around as well.

Maybe just maybe they realize it at some point that everyone who yelled about filters know absolutely nothing as I explained in the mess hall a lot of times! But I probably talked to a brick wall and even the devs fall for that absurdity those people yelled around.

I do agree with everything Kane just wrote. The issue doesn't belong to the shapeless heap, and even less can be decided through "a poll", as I read somewhere. Original devs had implemented them, and the current ones removed 'em, only by following the opinion of some bad, nescient and bored casual-fortuitous-whatever player who will be playing COD next week.
Still, I always hope for the devs to come to their senses and take a step back if they truly want to maintain a fair and even battlefield.
