Something that has bugging me a lot every time I play MG as murican: Browning Mg in hip fire mode has 3 recoil (bullet hit areas relative to the center of the screen) - slightly below the center, 2-3x lower than the previous one and just as previous but with additional alteration to the right.
Now the recoil patterns seems to be selected (assigned) when you spawn (tested per bullet and per mag, pattern changes only after redeploy), which already sucks.
What does make everything a lot worse is the fact that MG42 recoil patterns are either VERY close to the center of the screen or DIRECTLY the center, which obviously make you land incredibly accurate hip fire shots, compared to the Browning MG.
Myself, I have no problem with how "easy to use" MG42 is, but so should be the Browning machine gun.
For asymmetric balance lovers: honest way to make recoil would be to make it depend on random elemeny, i.e adding/multiplying on RANDOM "hand position" coefficient which will make hip firing less predictable for ALL MGs, but having one MG hit the counter of the screen precisely almost always, and the other have the dumbest recoil patterns isn't called balance at all.
P.S. Especially interested in opinions of high lvl MG main folks who actually understand how to use MGs properly.
Here's the clip of 2 recoil patterns (first was shot -> redeployed -> shot the second recoil pattern) (as reference targets for the center of the screen I used: center of the big white circle and intersections of the mid gap line between wooden planks with 2nd circle on each side):
