Add Introduction to Maps, Explain the history of the battle. (Ex. Dates, Losses, Factions)

I think it would be an awesome idea to add the history of the maps before the game starts to explain the setting & history of the map, location, date, and factions involved with the battle. Would be good to set the mood for the map and let learn a bit about WW2 Battles, losses, faction, dates and how that battle effected the war.

Additional - Have information about the weapons, tanks, equipment. Historical references & uses in war would be interesting to read and learn for people just beginning to look into the history of WW2.

Uniforms and equipment would be fantastic, especially on winter maps of the winter uniforms remain unlocked.

Famous divisions or soldiers present at the battles would be super cool to see too

Nothing was better as a kid than going to Best buy, your parents bought you a game, and you'd read the booklet on the way home. Had so much content in the case, maybe a map or something too.

edit: i also realize this could never get implemented in HLL now as it must have been a ton of work just for Dice to pull off before BF1 was even launched. Something like what Verdun does could certainlybe more acheivable tho and id love to see it

for sure it would be difficult, but just goes to show if nothing else if affected, its such a nice feature for players that most people overlook. It could be partially in lieu of the warmup phase, with an option to skip, like @limber pumice said. Also huge kudos for Dice to even think about doing that, and with such good attention to detail. @bleak falcon those weren't just a battle over a couple of days, they were drawn out campaigns, so they could easily highlight a specific part of Kharkov for instance during a winter period, in the context of the entire campaign
