The American tankers mainly used Greece guns when they brought actual weapons inside the tank so T17 should swap the Thompson for the tank commander to the M3 Greece gun. The same could be said the PPSH for the tankers on the Soviet faction the PPS-43 was also made for mainly tankers however adding this to the regular infantry classes in limited number for say the engineer class. This is a W suggestion.

I handled a full auto Chinese copy of a PPS-43 recently. It was a rental gun at a shooting range. It is surprisingly comfortable to put to your shoulder. Everyone who has shot a PPSH and a PPS-43 says that the PPSH is more accurate. The PPS-43 is probably more reliable though. It is a myth that the PPS-43 replaced the PPSH. It only supplemented the PPSH and was compact weapon for vehicle crews. Only 2 million PPS-43s were made compared to 6 million PPSH-41s and the Soviets continued producing the PPSH for another year after they ended PPS-43 production.
