#loader role in tanks

I think instead of loader it’s the assistant driver or if they do add a loader role they need to add more types of shells for tanks.
White Phosphorus
Smoke
HE
AP
And many more I don’t know since I’m not an expert on ww2 tank shells
I also think that the hull gunner should be a separate player slot. Would make the tanking experience a bit more coordinated and interesting
They would need some thing that made it interesting as it would be similar to an artillery loader which is incredibly boring
(maybe a seperate thread?) I also think that the periscopes should be removed from all tanks, and instead the Officer can use the hatches instead
nah, this game is too arcadey, people will snipe you from 100 kilometers away.
Let’s be honest with ourselves, you can’t hit the broadside of a barn with a sniper beyond 250-300 meters
i don’t think it needs a dedicated role but id really like the ability to cancel a load. so many times i’ve accidentally pressed for HE when we need AP or commander asks for a different round or i need to dump shots
After U14 I started with Foxhole. There is a role which works like a loading gunner. There is an engineer who is the only one who can see the life of the tank, the number of ammunition and he can repair the tank from the inside. I think repairing the tank from the inside could be good but it should be slower and you should only be able to repair the hull of the tank. So no repair for tank tracks/engine from the inside.

if the enemies render, a half decent sniper can hit them
Not a fan of this idea. Couple of reasons;
-
being ‘just’ a loader would be incredibly boring. It’s fine on a static AT gun where use is temporary and intermittent
-
increasing tank crews to four takes even more infantry away from the battlefield, for what is ultimately an unnecessary position. I’d rather the front line had more people fighting instead of losing some of them to sit inside a tank reloading.
💯
Whats the point of a loader? Just so he can press R after the gun fires? Also the game is only 50 v 50 and 2 players means 4% of the players is doing nothing but pressing R. Its a meaningless mechanic.
Listening to your squad scream reload but you can't hear them cause you are watching youtube.
360 periscopes should be removed from the tanks that didn’t have it. Officers wouldn’t have to just use hatches either, most if not all tanks had periscopes, just all of them didn’t have 360 vision so there was clear blind spots. That’s why allowing the commander to move his head 360 degrees in his cupola would make the most sense. Then if he wants to pop out his hatch he could have better view of his surroundings, use binoculars, and possibly also using a smg to ward off attackers.
