I like your idea but I think I might have an even better one. How about this, the Devil's Brigade. The real life joint American and Canadian joint special forces unit. They could even use the rare Johnson light machine gun, since the unit used them in real life. The Devil's Brigade fought both the Germans and the Japanese, so there could be a map where they fight the Japanese on the Aleutian island of Attu in Alaska, which would be beyond cool to see represented in a video game.
It will habe to be historically accuarate battle
Are u referring to that battle where canadian and us troops mistakenly fired upon one another?
No that was Kiska. At the neighboring island Attu there was a large battle between Japanese and American + Canadian forces. They expected even heavier fighting on Kiska and sent more men but the Japanese evacuated the island without them realizing. This is when the infamous friendly fire incident took place.

At first I liked your idea, but ultimately, think about how to implement this technically. That should be the most important question first and foremost.
Also think about the bigger picture. Every map we're fighting on, is somehow a skirmish between relatively little forces in a wider theater of war. Like for example Utah Beach: US vs Germany. 30km east of that Omaha Beach: US vs Germany. Another 20km east of that Gold Beach: UK vs Germany. Next, Juno Beach: Canada vs Germany.
Each another map, each another battle, each time different forces. In reality, most of the time the forces didn't really fight side by side, if you can say so. Of course they coordinated. But they were always a couple of kilometres apart from each other. There have been joint operations, no question about that, though I believe it wasn't the norm.
In the end, I just think it could be technically difficult to implement this, for now.
I would love an Alaska map. I think also creating sub factions like Kriegsmarine, FallschirmjΓ€ger or Airborne would help with the right uniforms in the right setting, which I would love to see
