That's how it already is, you can only operate a recon tank or any armor if you're part of an armor squad, so I have no idea where this suggestion even came from

On the subject of changing tanks. Can we make all of them automatic as driving tanks in HLL is not fun at all. Before I get the 'it adds realism to the game' the game has tonnes of content that doesn't adhere to realism, so taking this one out I'm sure would make a good 90% of people who get shoved in the driver seat happy

i agree, driving tanks in HLL is just boring. I will say having some gear controls is a good thing though. There should be a button to turn on/off automatic mode. And you still have to put it in park/reverse or else it will just sit in first gear.

It isn't even possible for rifleman to enter tanks. And you wouldn't even want that to be a thing because some machine gunner would high jack an armor crews tank and just sit in it wasting everyones time 😄
