Give support or the riflemen the ability to create sandbags, without the necessity of supplies.
They could be useful for quick temporary cover creation on open fields.

They take no damage from bullets, but grenades can destroy them.
AT capable rifles and launchers can destroy them in few or one shot. The same goes for tanks.

Only 1 can be placed and it takes a while for it to be replenished, similar to supply and ammo creates. They can also be restored by 50% on nodes. It could be 3 minutes before replacement can occur and the new one will of course replace the older one in order to avoid spamming.

The player can choose between 2 types.

  • Linear, larger but only deflects towards 1 side

-Side protected smaler but offers more protection when inside

I'd like to see this for Support or even SL as its a nice touch

It was a thing in the early states of the game.
The engineer could build them. Later they have been replaced by barriers.

Or make the supply box of the supplier have 75 supplies and drops + truck 125 in future and make the sandbags cost 25 supplies. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not cost any supplies? Are you nuts? imagine the chaos

especially the chaos if you assign it to the wrong class to give the supplyers the opportunity to build a few sandbags, but i think it's an interesting concept

We already can create barricades in the open - one supply package from support is 50 supplies, engineer can place two basic barricades. It gives an advantage. And is quite fun.

Engineers can place sandbags already mate...? - Its a barricade that can be upgraded to sandbags and then again to a fort of sorts.

Does anybody else just find it kinda weird that engineers level 1 barrier places wooden walls in the first place rather than the obvious choice of a sandbag wall? Why was it changed?
