I have two ideas, tanks are pretty easy to take down in current games and even if that isn't true spotting is a relatively boring role to play especially so I have 2 ideas to fix this

  1. Make the spotter able to reload the gun so they have more of a role than looking.

  2. Mount the spotter with a machine gun or some type of weapon as seen in multiple popular movies, most noticeable is fury.

  1. No. TCs are already overworked having to:
    Lead the tank
    Scout for enemies around the tank
    Use radio functions
    Look for enemy tanks

  2. If the tank model had it, why not? i'd be better to have hatches, but meanwhile, you get some sort of pdw without the need to jump off the security of the tank

The other answer would be to add the pistol ports that some tanks had.

Op sounds like kind of player who refuses to play any role but gunner and leaves squads if he doesnt get gunner seat

i'd say driver is more boring tbh, i'd suggest;

  1. add more periscopes (if tank supported it) so other tank crew members can also 'look around'
  2. allow commander to 'look'/'shoot' outside of tank (something like we have already on halftrucks mounted gun), it's ridiculous you have to jump out of tank whenever you see someone sneaking behind
  3. allow for tank repairs 'from inside' of tank, to some extent (much less effective obviously) + allow for repairing EXACT PART OF TANK. Ridiculous you have to repair tracks fully just so you can repair engine fully (if it was dead) so you can start driving again
  4. FINALLY allow us to turn tanks 'on spot' aka "pivot turning" or "zero-radius turning."

For the Americans they could choose either the M1919A4 or the M2 on top. Idk if the M2 would lead to an advantage over the MG34 for the Germans or whatever the Soviets used

The MG42 wasn’t mounted on any Tanks besides the Jagdpanzer IV and the STuG III G could technically fit one but didn’t get one , 1919s were rarely mounted on the roof of a Tank as they would be inefficient for what the troops wanted either engaging enemy planes or more typically engaging enemies in places where the Tank’s main gun would cause too much damage.
