#Naturally Spawning Jeeps

Naturally Spawning Jeeps are desperately needed, I think. This is because Commanders rarely bother to place them and when you ask, there's a good chance they will ignore you because they think it is a waste of fuel. It is not a waste of fuel, because jeeps are not only extremely useful for recon, but they are also very useful for Anti-Tank. This is because the speed of the jeep is good for tracking and flanking enemy vehicles; it's always better to attack a tank from behind. The ammo boxes which jeeps drop also resupply explosives and other AT equipment, which proves to be useful for AT.
If naturally spawning jeeps are to be an issue, perhaps make the feature map specific so that it is more of a pleasant novelty. Perhaps even give them a rare chance of spawning to balance it out. If it were to be map specific, I think that the best maps for jeeps to spawn by default on are, ideally, Hill 400, Hurtgen Forest, Stalingrad, and El Alamein, or any other forest, urban, or desert maps added later. Nonetheless, as it sits right now, jeeps are much too rare and need some more representation.

agreed, maybe alternate one of the HQ's between trucks and jeeps

Jeeps are my default transportation when commanding. I rarely get request for them because by the time 5 minutes is up, people are already where they need to be but they are incredibly useful.

They need to spawn at game start and the 5 minute cool down needs to go down to 1

Yup, agreed! Was always wondering why these didn’t spawn in, just like trucks.

A jeep available right at the start would just be a SL taxi. Wouldn't it be better if the first Jeep comes only from the 5 min cooldown?
However no default spawning vehicle works that way. They are all there right away.

Fair point. Particularly, I think its best used by commanders and recon. Perhaps if it spawned at HQ at game start when the game timer actually starts counting down, it would be worth it for commanders/recon to wait while still giving advantage to regular infantry to use the trucks instead; that way its still faster to get there via truck but the nimbleness of jeeps can still be used by recon/commander

And maybe the option to choose beetween jeeploadout one with ammobox and one with supplies (give him 40 supplies) so the engineer can build a barrcidae or a fence

I think the game can handle 2 more vehicles on the map without breaking the game foe the limit for a jeep on each side

I've hardly ever seen a Jeep in this game. hopefully this will change that.

Also no one knows that they actually drop two ammunition crates each

Main reason Commanders don't throw out Jeeps like confetti is the Commander Vehicle limit. Its not the fuel or expense, just that other vehicle's take priority. He can only spawn 5, the other 7 are auto-spawns which make your 12 vehicle limit.

If you have 2-3 tank squads (and they all want heavy's), a truck for the Commander to build back up garries, another for nodes and/or maybe a HT then you are already at limit. Tanks always 1st, jeeps are way down on the priority list.

As for auto-spawning them, yes this would end in a SL spam to get to the front and get OP's down for their squads at game start. Maybe with a 5 minute cooldown would work, but I feel the way things are is fine.

Anyway the 4 AT's in a jeep meta is a bit sad for a squad based game don't you think? Joining different squads to all snag AT and go looking for cheap tank kill points, (which is why you do it) leaving those squads without AT. Plus it rarely works and just ends in 4 dead AT guys not on point fighting the tanks where you need them. This game is about map control, not seeing who can kill the most tanks with an unrealistic spam strategy.

There should also be halftracks at the beginning of the match makes sense for troops to go to war with a halftrack right?

For the 4 stack AT thing, you can put satchel assault, satchel Engi, and SL in as well. Now you have an actual squad working together to keep the enemy armor from reaching point. I am also of the opinion that if the entire rest of the team can't deal with the tanks off spawn, and them the one or 2 that slip by, the rest of the team is at fault. They have their own tanks and AT. A couple of guys keeping others from even making it to the Frontline shouldn't stop the rest of the team from taking out one or 2 tanks at a time every once and a while.

Also, if the vehicle limit is too much of an issue, we could just stop troop stransport from default respawning after they get blown up, and then problem solved. That is 3 more vehicle slots open.

Since the jeeps came out I've only seen a total of 15. 3 of which I've had spawned for myself. And every other one was either abandoned or I took out the people inside to blow them up for the achievment. I want more jeeps on the field. Sincerely, an AT who foams at the mouth every time someone spots out a jeep
