Too many cod kids and new people with no mics take leadership roles just to not place a single OP or garry hence crippling the team and losing the game

(accidentally tagged it as console but it applies on both platforms)

Players with a decent level can also not know how to play SL. The commander is unique in the team so maybe your idea could have some grounds, but for the SL role I think we'd be better off having people wanting to play SL be able to do so from the get go, and if you find a bad SL, you can just create your squad on the side 👀

Good idea

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam had this. Minimum Level 5 to willingly select SL role, and minimum Level 25 to willingly select the Commander role.

I can tell you as my server does this (Command & SL are player level 50 +) - It goes well when the server is busy but the moment the "core" group doesn't play you end up with matches where no one starts a Squad and the server dies. (not all the time) but I've seen it happen lots. Because you're vet players are off grinding other classes and you get ZERO points for doing that roll if you're maxed. So if the vets don't want to do it, and the new players can't because of their level... dead match.

while we at it, make recon lvl 100 minimum. tired of useless newbies always rushing that recon squad just to explore map and do some roleplay in forest 1000m from front

Maybe not lvl 100, at lvl 30 you already have a good understanding of the game

I disagree with the squad leader-level requirement. I think only the commander should have a level requirement.
