Add an Indian soldier/skin to the British forces

I think that this would be a cool way to recognize the contribution of the Indian Army that fought with the British through North Africa, Italy, and the rest of Europe, even while trying to gain independence from the British.

I hope the add the Australians too they played massively in the early stages of the North African campaign

@high bane Indians and Australians shouldn’t be tacked onto the British faction. There should be no Indians and Australians at market garden, they should be their own dedicated factions that should appear on maps where they were the majority of allied combatants, for example the Indians at Burma or certain parts of Monte-Cassino, or the Australians at Tobruk and New Guinea

I know they weren’t, but at the same time the devs haven’t really strived for historical accuracy when it comes to what guns and vehicles are available on each map either, so why not? Let’s be honest here, the Indians won’t get their own dedicated faction, at least not in the next few years, so why not represent a nation that had over 2 and a half million soldiers to fight with the Allies, even if it is just with one cosmetic or soldier skin? We all know that the British are severely lacking in that front right now anyways

On what grounds can you make this claim? The Indians will have almost all of the same equipment and uniforms as the British, it will take no time at all to add a couple faces and a turban.

Lacking on what front, having racial Tokens? Tokenism is utterly deplorable. They should not be merely tacked onto the British faction, it does not do their contribution to the war effort any justice, and they should not appear on fronts where they were not present.

You mis-read my last point. I wasn’t talking about not having any other races, I was talking about the British lacking many additional helmets and uniforms like the other factions do. It would be nice if they could expand that out a bit and one way they could do this is by adding in something for the Indians. After all, they were present at least at Al Alamein if not at Driel. I will admit though, I did not know that they admitted to planning on changing the load outs and vehicles for each map to adjust for historical accuracy. Do you have a link for that? Also, i suppose your right that my claim that they Indians won’t get their own faction isn’t based on anything they’ve said. After all, they are planning on adding factions like the finish and the polish, so they may eventually add the Indians.

And no, the Indians were not present at Driel. They shouldn’t even be at El-Alamein because British and Indian brigades were segregated by race. They didn’t have mixed units.
