The sprinting is only slightly faster than a walking speed, due to being previously nerfed to that degree.

So, kind of, but jumping is very active, and arguably necessary on maps such as Purple Heart Lane due to needing to cross streams and rivers.

Honesly, I can't wait to see if it's as "traumatic" as War of Rights... in that game you basically fight the civil war, with realistic weaponry and tactics, a single shot reload taking ~20seconds etc... to have the musket balls fly around your head and see your next in line get domed and fly a foot or two back with an exploded head at the enemies volleys is intense... it's legit called a PTSD simulator by most of the serious playerbase xD

An horrible doubt struck me yesterday: am I destroying my own nodes with my own AP mines whenever the silly reco walks over it?

Nodes will only be destroyed if a player (friendly or enemy) disassembles them by holding F, if the sector they were built in is lost, or if they are blown up with a satchel.

playing the objective in Warfare consists of being in the cap zone (strong point [black thatched circle on the map], or the 4 squares touching it) for either the point that your team is defending, or attacking.

Generally speaking you don't want to be outside of that area (not always true of course) because you either hold your point, or capture the enemy's point by having more cap weight than them.

You get more cap weight than them by killing them, but really you do it through maintaing spawns and eliminating theirs otherwise you play wackamole where you kill a dude and they're back 20 seconds later.

Nah the commander is most likely in the backline building backup garrisons, I'd try to join a squad that is on the defense (it's a lot easier to see and shoot movement than it is to shoot dudes hiding trying to kill you) and defend rather than attack.

I'd adjust the opacity and turn down the distance, they give you useful information to cut down on TKs (even if you always recognize the uniforms you can see them behind walls so you aren't accidentally grenading team mates for instance)

you dont need to lead anyone. Your 'job' is to place down your Units spawn point so that players in your unit can continually spawn on it. The effectiveness of your squad will be significantly correlated to the quality of your spawns placement

I'm not a new recruit, but I'm one that has a question about the changes made in the last few updates.

Specifically how do nodes work today?

Last time I played you could more or less "solo" create nodes at the front with a truck as an engineer to create all nodes a team could support. This was roughly around the time the Soviets were added into the gaame

I was just reading with one of the latest updates changed this "meta" to make nodes provide a flat rate and the most optimal place for node building is within the first/initial part of the map, and using a truck deploying supplies on the edge of the 2nd part of the map (since you can't drop supplies in the first part) is the best way now (as the last part of the map can't be lost until the end of the game so its safe)

Is this correct? How many nodes can a single engineer make now aswell?

I used to like doing the logistics, every now and then, but want to make sure I'm doing it correct lol

so at match start people typically pile into the transports, someone takes the supply truck that spawns mid, and people drive up to the mid point and to build starting spawns

Yes, that was usually what was going on back when I played. Except I'd usually let them build the garrison, then jack the truck and build nodes using the other supplies somewhere near/on the front

Just over 100 metres from the point is probably best for defensive to get maximum coverage. For offensive garrisons, two close of the point just inside blue area and the rest behind the point in the red area. Again, 100 metres from the point is probably better than right on the point, as then you can get overlapping garrisons.

Coming from console here so unless things are different on PC, this is incorrect. Garrisons behind enemy lines are locked at 100m. Which is why red zone garrisons are best built at least 200m away from edge of enemy strongpoint. Closer to 300m is better. Use outposts to get nearer objective. Otherwise the garrison spends it whole life locked and useless.

I don’t know your situation and it will be great to have you on console, but I’ve also seen some people having a hard time there. Most people are great on console but there are also, well, other people. The problem is we have no private servers, no moderation, none of that. Someone was complaining about being stalked a couple of days ago. So regretfully I would probably recommend playing on PC where you can find moderated servers or rent your own. Unless you’re up for the harder swim.
