HLL isn't a game you should be worrying about K/D it's more objective and strategy driven. You need to communicate with your squad to capture the point. The majority of your XP won't come from kills. Start as a support class to help the squad lead build garrisons and the engineers to build nodes. You'll learn a lot that way

I was dubious about HLL to start with, no tutorials, no training or bootcamp. Just thrown into it and I'm actually enjoying it, unlike battlefield where I get angry if I die I just laugh it off provided I wasn't TK'd lol.

Realistic gunplay definitely.

Movement feels slow and sluggish but that's because you're a soldier running through mud and sand and all other environments carrying so much kit on you, there's no ammo count you've gotta be situationally aware at all times and it's much more tense.

I know you're dead and I'm trying to get to you, but if I can't there's likely a reason, i.e there's no suppressing fire on the enemies that took you out or I'm unsure if it's safe or not to get you. I can't help if I'm dead, but if I saw a friendly medic running by you without stopping to revive I'd be annoyed, especially if it's safe.

Question for more veteran tankers than I, do friendly infantry take damage from a tank cannon's pressure from firing? I just had a match where we destroyed multiple outposts and garrisons and I got kicked because people in front of us died to what I hope was just a bad shot on my part (sorry to those players!), not a mechanic some games don't implement. I have no idea if it's a mechanic in game and Google hasn't returned anything since there's no in-game manual I know of.

My friend and I typically go all the way back to the enemy HQ, kill artillery units, inform the commander of any vehicles, then work our way to the objectives going from the HQ to the frontlines destroying defense garrisons, supplies, and hopefully locating offensive garrisons, and all of that seems to be helpful

it also depends on what map you're playing

omaha offensive, for example. if you're a sniper, you're gonna wanna be on the beach in a pit, picking off MGs

spotter can end around behind the point and drop an OP, giving a sniper the option to rotate into the backfield

I love the atmosphere and the general gameplay of HLL on PS5, BUT....... The matches go for so fucking loooonnngggg!!! I believe that guy above was artillery. His effectiveness would be completely dependant on information provided by commanders and the squad leader. communication is key. Lastly, playing as a tank you can really rack up kills too

To add, the squad leader and commander should be marking the map which is visible to artillery and you strike those points. For tanks it takes a bit more strategy and some luck as you're more vulnerable due to battle taking place much closer

I got a 71 kill streak ended the game with nearly with over 120 kills in the jumbo Sherman 76 mm with a good tank crew and squad leaders calling out infantry positions

protip: spawn as engi, grab a supply truck asap, drive past the first sector, drop one crate, build all 3 nodes, drive the truck ro the frontline, drop another crate for friendlies, respawn as support, play the game normally, at the wnd od the round you should have support 3 unlocked and thus unlock the ammo, explosive ammo and supplies in one kit, proceed to never use rifleman again.

So when a new game starts, the recon squads get taken directly. However, it's always the sniper role that gets taken, and the spotter role is free.
When I join an empty recon squad, I can't choose sniper. How do people do this?

I'm assuming setting their primary role as a sniper

The player who creates the Recon Unit is always designated as the Spotter, who isn't equipped with the scoped rifle. Usually when Spotters realize this, they leave the Unit, but by the time they've realized this, another player has joined the Recon Unit and now occupies the second unit member slot, which is the Sniper role. Anyone else that joins this Recon Unit afterwards is defaulted to the Spotter.

There is console cross play, you can change match preferences to enable cross play or to keep it console specific. Go over find match in bottom left of screen it will say preferences and there you will be able to change the settings. Additionally, make sure you add your friends as friends via the T17 player management system (sorry lack for better words)
