higher ping in HLL means often being killed first and hearing the gunsound that killed you even a halfsecond after - making impossible to pinpoint the direction
delayed placements of boxes/buildables, guns refusing to shoot when you click

oh and a dead opponent you killed running on a spot (with running animation, but already dead) until you shot him again
also, the character model instead of falling on the ground can disappear instantly just by blipping away the moment you make a killing shot
while sometimes in case of friendlies the body stays there with friendly icon even after the player gave up - makes false alarms to medic (you come to the body just to find out you can't revive the guy, because the friendly icon is just a bug and the player is already running alive after respawn already)

but situations like that happened to me the day when I was testing new patch... despite I had ping of ~100-120
maybe just the game not being optimised for 100ms
as battlefield 2 was for instamce :D
and it seemed to be server dependant (one server with problems I mentioned, while other server with no probs at all)
ive heard people are having server specific problems
was playing on one server yesterday, clanmate had ping spikes and terrible lag, jitter and whatnot, then we switched servers and i was the one having lag spikes
yeah, but before the patch those problems I ever had only when I tried to connect to a server on the other side of the world... the ping meter is either lying or ... no idea
...still... I haven't ruled out a possibility if the problem might be on my end

Rubberbanding grenades and vehicles seem to be dependent upon server performance.
The cheaper purchased hardware (such as smaller VMs running the servers, etc.) have these issues often - but almost non-existent comparatively on the beefier servers.

Hedgerows are extremely thick walls of foliage wood and branch

And all of the hedges in game have quite a few common cut through similar to real hedges

So, why're tanks borderline useless now? Takes a year to switch seats, takes another year to switch gears, AND you get instakilled by AT players who have 2 rockets to kill you with. Seems like there's no point in using tanks anymore, when every single squad has an AT player.
As much as I adore this game, tanks just ain't fair, nor fun to play as.

yes, this is a punishment for being in a poor position to get satchelled
if you are good at tanking and position your tank in the right place to have infantry support, you won't get satchelled
at least not very often, if the infantry wave dies off suddenly you might, and that's fine cause that means the enemy outplayed your team and they should get rewarded for it
yea there isnt really any rason not to use a heavy
2 players is really all you need too
although if you know what you are up to you can solo okay
yeah with 2 players you can do pretty decently, the seat swap change kinda sucks for duo tanking but it's still possible to do very well with 2 players
you can fan the seat change while in commander seat and cancel it at the last second, so if you have to swap to gun you will do it faster
It's just not fun spending 15-20 minutes driving around the map getting into a good position, to get instakilled by god knows what. One tapped by enemy tanks, one tapped by infantry, one tapped by mines. Tanks also have limited ammo, before needing to drive another 15-20 minutes all the way back to the base, as apposed to infantry who can just respawn with full ammo after 15 seconds. And then there's the invisible barbed wire, and textures not loading in despite being on the highest graphic setting, making tanks even worse. Tanks are in a very very bad spot right now. I have over 1200 hours on tanks, but took a 3 month break. Recently came back, and they're just awful now.

You clearly don't understand tanks if you think they get 1 tapped by mines, 1 tapped by enemy tanks, and think ammo is a legit issue
tanks have tons of ammo, it's pretty rare to run out, though if you're having a great run it's possible
fuel is cheap enough that you can essentially just respawn too if you want
Recon tanks is where it's at for fun tank gameplay
The only thing you said I agreewith is the invisible barriers not rendering at high distance, that makes tanking very annoying
Soloing recon isn't too difficult still either. You just press the change seat button earlier
but basically if you drove to a "good" position and then got instakilled, your position wasn't so good
or you're driving a light/medium tank and ran right into a heavy tank
light/medium tanks are in a pretty rough spot I will say, not much point using them. Recon is fun and you can do well flanking if the enemy isn't very alert, but that's about it. other than that no reason to not just play heavy tanks
So, light and medium tanks are just useless? This just adds to my argument. Tanks should never be useless, period. Medium tanks used to be my go-to, becaause of their speed. But now that's nerfed, and a bird shitting on them can blow them up.

it depends on the server but if you end up with 3-4 guys on the opposing team who decide that destroying armor is their life's calling you will be in trouble

infantry up time is much better than armor and friendly infantry is often not that committed to protecting you
Multiple classes have access to satchels now, which means there are 4x more AT players, than actual AT plaayers.
so a guy can try to get you 10x times in 5 minutes
you can stop him 9 times but he just needs 1

the thing is it appears fairly randomly. Often the opposing AT doesn't care that much or just isn;t very good

so in that sense tanks are in a fine place
but I also think they aren't as much fun as they used to be/could be and in that sense they are in a bad place
Satchels are probably my favorite little feature in the game
But that's only if you don't have 3-4 AT players hunting you down the whole match. I swear, every time I play I have AT's up my ass the entire time, preventing me from doing anything. It just pisses me off, and makes me not want to play the game anymore.
Setting satchels for 60 seconds in a locker enemy points defensive position before it opens up is awesome

like I said I do think there are occasions where you are going to get fucked as tank and its a bit of a balance problem.
But its difficulty to engage with because generally you aren't going to have opposing AT that good/committed

I had a rando the other day with me in a sherman 76 on SME and we got 19 armor kills to a 4 death count as the only tank squad
We got hit by panzerschrek a lot and hit many times
Having good positions and being willing to move and relocate a lot is very advantageous
Most armor squads wont make a lot of movement for fear of not knowing what could happen
But being able to move stop fire move stop fire especially engaging with combined forces is extremely good
See, whenever I get hit by literally anything, I'm just instantly dead, have have no time to react. Or, I get hit once, but it takes 3 years to switch gears, so I'm just dead anyways.
What tanks are you using consistently
And are you solo or with full crew
Because it sounds like your crew awareness is the biggest issue

And to be fair basic armor doctrine is made to avoid major tank on tank combat
I would like a firepower buff but I actually dont see a huge issue with their total playstyle
But the mediums definitely need better performing guns
And the t34 just needs a buff overall
Panther needs a gun and armor buff so hopefully that will come when the panzer 4 is added
I usually play with just 2 people, since I dislike having a driver who kinda just sits there doing nothing 80% of the time. It makes me feel bad lol.

I don’t know if it contains the patch, but the aiming seems decent to me. Had to tweak the sensitivity to my liking, but I’ve no issues aiming.
What settings you have it on
I think I've got Sens left at 50% (Default), and I just upped the ADS Sens to 26%. Didn't feel like it needed much as I've always played on Default or Lower sens.
The default ADS sens of 20% just felt too low. Found it hard to pull away from the aim assist

A macbook air really just will not be able to do HLL or VM gaming without extensive modification or alternatives
HLL being hell let loose obviously and VM standing for virtual machine, which would mean running a copy of windows alongside your mac OS. You could also just make a partition for windows to try and game with that but I have a feeling that without some decent computer experience prior you'll be lost and more likely to damage your existing hardware then add new functionality

What’s an ‘airhead’?
It's an ability that the commander has to drop a little crate with a parachute, that essentially acts as a garrisson for a limited time. If your commander calls it in, it shows up as a little triangle with a parachute on the map. Its useful, cause you can drop a spawn behind enemy lines.
The enemy can do this to you as well, of course, so you have to look out for it.

Who are we?
We are the 15th Panzer Grenadier Division and we have been around since the 23rd of March 2021 (brand new). We are not you normal hardcore Milsim group, we are just a bunch of friends from the US and EU and play Hell Let Loose and other games. I think you've used words to say absolutely nothing there.
Loadouts should provide different tools for different jobs within the remit of the role. AT I think is a decent example of a good loadout set, with the rockets, satchel/AT mine, and AT Gun being in different classes. Want one thing, you sacrifice another. All of those things are entirely situational, and if you have a lvl 1 AT guy trying to take out a heavy then you're just putting your whole team at a disadvantage. They might have worked an unbelievable path to the back of a Tiger, and then be unable to actually take it out because they've got the Bazooka and not unlocked the satchel yet.
If they had them both unlocked, and they picked the wrong kit then they're punished for their poor planning. If they have them both unlocked and pick the right kit, they're rewarded with their ability to get to the position as well as the planning. If they don't have the right kit unlocked then they're not rewarded for their ability but punished because they haven't put the hours in

When building fortified positions defending a location it used correctly can block roads and access to armoured vehicles. Or block entrances where buildings have surrounding walls and open gates.

As an Engineer it is vital you build NODES for your commander you also gain XP. Take the resupply vehicle with the supply crates and position nodes carefully.

Big tip for engineer on warfare, don't just build up the strong point. Use the defences around the place to funnel players where you want them. If you leave a player with nowhere to go, they'll destroy your fortifications. Give them a route, and they'll take it

Speaking of the Engineer. What’s the point of the level 3 loadout? Just unlocked it and from the Barrack screen it looks like you lose the wrench, hammer, at and ap mines for what looks like a satchel charge.
Ahh, so more for taking down enemy fortifications than building our own. Shame, I wanted to use the MP40.
Satchel is a great Anti-Tank weapon as well.

Outposts are a no brainer. They are built all the time for squad spawn. Garrisons are what gives your team a huge tactical advantage beibg able to shift the entire team to a new angle of attack or defence....
Three garrisons in good spots around points can put lasting pressure on that point. Outposts are easier to destroy and only a single squad can use them.
garrisons for pressure are good but the really important thing is fallback garrisons (on warfare and defensive side of offensive), if you lose a point and don't have backup garry you will lose all your OP in the zone and have nowhere to spawn but HQ
so you will just get swept

It's definitely possible, many games have input-based matchmaking (See Warzone). Not sure we'll see it here though due to playerbase size.

Enlisted pay to win garbage
Shooting is across the board harder in Enlisted
Gun handling is harder in Enlisted and the amount of damage per shot is generally lower. All this combines to create gameplay where getting a kill requires more skill than in HLL.
HLL combat tendencies are much more twitch/arena shooter esque
Enlisted itself is a lot of fun up like level 11/12 when the grind sets in but eh

Tried enlisted. Wanted to like it, but it felt like a school project.
The first game in HLL and I instantly loved the gameplay, mechanics, meta game and everything.

A big problem with palyers in HLL is that they seem not to understand the map size
so if you understand how to use it you can run rings around people

But again the difficult for most players in HLL is that they ahve a hard time gaining any sort of game sense because they have issues with the map size

whereas the smaller Enlisted maps seem to allow players to gain game sense quicker

i can see those in RCON - if you remove arty and tank squads, the average KD is something like .75

next had 0.85, then 0.62
where .85/.62 tanks or infantry?
.85 and .62 are tanks
infantry usually get around .35/m
of the 100 players in the match, 57 of them had a KD >1
the highest being 20.8, the lowest was .04
highest death/minute was .69, meaning the dude died 62 times in a 90 minute game
that same guy had a death streak of 21, meaning he died 21 times without killing anyone
#'s 2, 3, and 4 had 17, 14, and 13 deaths without a kill
it's a bummer i don't have class/loadout data, i'd be able to build a pretty interesting dataset
suffice to say the best performing players in any given gave are artillery users, full tank squads, and snipers
Nah. The HLL meta game is not skin deep. It is making the game interresting and creates these extra small scenarios and opportunities for fun gameplay.
Enlisted is just a sub par regular shooter to me with AI squad mates, which I find stupid and clunky gameplay. Also the maps are just bland.
It feels like a cash grab and when you look at the way you unlock stuff it is just so obvious.
though the last two are pretty map dependent - tank squads rarely do well on hurtgen or hill 400, but absolutely wreck shop on kursk and foy

tank: Just use heavies because they are dumb strong
resources: spam nods in minutes 0-5 and use commander Harry POtter ability to transmute resources/use them for free. You should never run out.

the only things that really matter in the first 10 minutes of a warfare match are a) does an officer/commander take the supply truck, b) does a garrison get placed near midpoint, and c) does the team spawn at that garrison
if a, b, c = yes, there's a very high probability that team will win and the match will end inside 40 minutes
