First of all every single server is full queue, or u need VIP,

the problem is there are now way more players than there are servers. best bet is to try and find a decent low ping server that has a low player count. earlier today there was 44 thousand players. and only a few hundred servers

thats what happens when you flood a community with 3 times the players. refresh the server list. the numbers are not actively being updated. they load once when you load the servers. and wont refresh until you click on the server. or refresh the page.

i dont fully understand the queue system. but i have assumed its to stop servers from just blocking everyone from joining when its full and it being a race to join once a spot opens up. and instead its a queue to fill a spot as someone leaves. but i may be wrong.

In squad u have a 100/100 server and infinitely long queues, it makes sense, let's lay 17 players are in queue on a full server, gradually they join as others leave, and the queue updates right away if there's a change, here it's impossible to see what the queue is like.
Because the server is at 83 with a 6/6 and upon refresh it's 99 with 6/6

my friend keeps getting disconnected every 15 minutes like clock work.
it's not firewall, or defender, both are off, telemetry is off, router is fine and otherr pc on network doesn't experience the issue.
when he disconnects there is a spike in traffic from.. something else he can't narrow down on his system. no other online game is effected (HLL might just be less timeout tolerant). running constant google pings shows no change during disconnects. something is just upsetting the HLL process.
just looking for windows 10 background processes that might be causing it. (I'll have him try to run as admin later) idk, i don't use windows so i'm not sure where he should look.

look at every tiny little pixel. youre most likely being shot from bushes or trees or windows 200 meters out. gotta keep your head down. sprint as little as you can near firefights. and watch out for recon snipers. its a rough game

The game's heavily CPU bound. Having a 4080 won't help much when your CPU isn't one of the best either. Which it most certainly isn't if you're getting 50 fps.

Fact of the matter is due to HLL's nature and it using UE, it is a very single-core demanding game, more so than typical games. It's hard to say how optimized the game is. All we can really say is that a 100 player FPS running on UE is bound to struggle with performance, but how much effort the devs have truly put into optimizing it is anyone's guess. Either way the game doesn't run all that great, for sure.

It doesn't matter where you place them as long as the enemy doesn't run into them - so (the edge of) HQ is great because even though it's common to find nodes there, it's unlikely anyone's actually gonna go there yet it's super convenient to build since you can just take a supply truck and drop supplies as soon as you leave the HQ.

it's the same with League and Valorant but i used vpn with split tunneling to only use the vpn on the VoIP and not the whole game to not affect the ping.
