I'd pick community server over official, since they're usually well moderated. Any of them are usually fine. Try to find one with 70-80 out of 100 folks with lowest ping or nothing over like 150? I play on servers with 100-130 just fine.

Community servers are usually very friendly, try to join a unit with high level and/or clan tag on their name. They are usually helpful with new players 🙂 but overall I have heard from several that the Hell let loose community is very nice towards new players so just jump in and take it as it goes 🍻

I get the meaning behind servers where you have to be lvl 50+ to join but at the same time it’s annoying because for me, some of the only servers I have a good connection to are those lvl 50+ servers. Most of the time my ping for those servers are roughly 60-90 while for all others it’s usually 130+. It’s not a huge issue every now and then I’ll come across a server that I have a decent ping to that you don’t have to be lvl 50 to join but sometimes it’s annoying

Those are supplies, but you need those to build nodes, which are Manpower, Munitions, and Fuel.. you can build one of each and each costs 50 supplies

The big crate from the truck is 150 supplies

so you can build all three with just one supply truck crate, but it has to be in the crates vicinity

don't disagree but officer is more technically demanding..... more moving parts

commander is more straight up strategic planning and resource allocation

officers have to balance the strategic goals given them by command with the tactical goals of coming up with an actual plan to execute the general orders

commanders can say xyz squads defend abc squads attack and here's a supply drop and a heavy tank

officers need to take the attack order from command and coordinate with the 5 other dudes in their squad to come up with an effective way to actually push that objective

and commander has to infact talk with more than 5 officers

are you sure you have your audio output sources set correctly in windows volume control panel and mixer? if you have a headset sometimes it has the same device name for the mic and the headphones

and in the volume mixer, you can set it to a specific app, like HLL.exe for example

actually you wouldn't be able to hear the game if it wasn't nvm

in-game (in a server), go to Options > Audio > VOIP > Check, and make sure the output is set correctly

Nope not that I know of at least. But when you know your approximate location and you see a bit of a white area you know where you are. It takes some time but you will figure it out quite fast. Just open the map more often and just try to find yourself as fast as possible. Your mark is usually bigger then the others making it easier to spot amongst your fellow comrades

Bombing runs on the other hand, I know for a matter of fact can destroy a tank.

Technically? Yes. In practice? Not really.

You need a direct hit from arty to damage a tank. Which is near impossible anyway, as artillery has random dispersal from wherever you're aiming. If a tank is moving that becomes even more difficult due to shell travel time so you need it static really to start with. If the tank is a heavy it will also take multiple (unlikely) direct hits from that artillery to actually destroy it and not just tickle it with some damage.

Best use for arty on tanks is to prevent crew from being able to repair, and / or to lay some smoke down.

Same for a bombing run. It needs a direct hit from one of the falling bombs, which isn't entirely likely, and on anything above a light that direct hit isn't a guaranteed kill. It's why the precision strike was invented.

If a tank already has damage you might have better luck. But there are better uses of those munitions than hoping (and it really is hoping) you kill a tank with them

Ive been doing Machine Gunner, because it can be deadly and useful for defending/suppressing while attacking, but I feel like if I main support Ill just be more useful overall, hmm

Flamethrower is meh, it can be good sometimes, but its pretty close range

Id just try each role as infantry to get familiar with em, and then you can decide later on "oh my SL is in enemy territory with an OP with 50 supplies close, Ill switch to support and give them 50 more for a garrison" but for multiple roles

but support usually has a smg, or rifle, so getting to the second loadout is good to have those options

You work with the SL, your supply box has 50 supplies on a 5 minute cool down once placed (also if you placed a box earlier and they werent used, it will be replaced by the new one). The 50 supplies can be used for the SL to build a garrison in the blue territory (100 for red), an AT gun by AT, a node or defenses by engineers. Also the second loadout can resupply AT rockets with the explosive ammo box.

The biggest benefit of them is if your squad is behind enemy lines and not caught, you can work with the SL to get a red zone garrison built (instead of a loud truck dropping supplies, or a big parachute dropping supplies) so its the sneakiest way to do that

How useful is a machine gunner in a squad? Distance is your friend. Bullets go for 500 meters and it's not too hard for an MG, if there's a line of sight.

Usually a ping (middle mouse), and saying "infantry on ping" or "garrison on ping" etc is helpful without saying much. The Squad Leader can then mark that for the rest of the team, and it helps the squad in the short term

Defenders can drop supplies from a truck into the HQs that dont have a strongpoint. Attackers can drop supplies into their HQ if it's still red. Often there's only a window of 20 seconds to do this, as the supply truck has a cooldown of 1 minute and the capture time is also 1 minute, and it only takes some ~20-30 seconds for attackers to run to cap the first point (this is most definitely a nonsensical bug they never bothered to fix)

Does nodes have to be in the vicinity of the Commander in order to use it or it doesn’t need to be on the yellow vicinity?

The yellow circle is only for the supplies cooldown and ammo box cooldown effects of nodes. Commander can be anywhere

Nodes can basically be anywhere to and still be a useful item in the background they’re more active if people are close to the yellow circle but it’s risky to put it on the front lines because people might break them and they delete if they get stuck in a captured zone, commanders have nothing to do with node usage 😼

Nope commander can be anywhere he wants it’s more the nodes are safer the farther back they are but if you want the support guys to have 2X speed on their supplies boxes you’ll need a manpower node up front close to defense or the line, it’s risky though because enemies can find it easier and if you lose point they’ll explode vs if they’re all the way at spawn or defense area they’ll survive @nimble panther

Commanders just love having a full set of nodes three different squads putting all three nodes down because then instead of 30 a minute stuff they’ll get 60 a minute max usually and that lets them spawn in a ton of power ups and tanks

Only reason to have a node up front close to action though is for support players to keep chucking down supplies boxes which let all the SL players or commander run around and create the big garrison spawn points faster

I know munitions node gets ammo boxes and bandage boxes for medics 2X the speed if you’re in the yellow circle and manpower gets the more important 2X speed box for support players but most likely you would only want a single node probably manpower close to the action just for the power up and save the entire rest possible 8 nodes back at spawns or hiding somewhere in defense second line away from spawns just to keep the majority of them safer from zone changes and enemies @nimble panther

Yeah if you end up throwing them all in the back because it’s easier the commander probably won’t care and will be super happy you made them, it’ll let the tanks and powerups flow, usually it’s hard to get anyone making nodes because if you got no supply truck or supply drop it takes years to do it solo

For one squad it’ll be 3 nodes total that’s it, we usually have to rely on other squads to build their 3 to get the 30amin to 60amin, some newer community lobbies even let it get to 70amin for an extra set

They’re usually on discord you pick one you like and then you’ll change your clan tag in game but the setups are all discord so for pinging like “hey [lfg] I’m online lest play” and whatever clan members are online will join your match

I was wondering that too so basically what I get is they share their secret tactical styles and how they play especially because all of them want to join in tournaments so they don’t want other clans to know what they’ll do @nimble panther

Depends on the clans policies. Some let you join others some don’t

You can basically just look for the inter clan discord to get anybody and everybody in for quick matches though we call it “seeding” in discords usually a match of 20 people might bump up to 60 and eventually the full 100 if everyone goes in

Yeah that parts bad basically you look on server browser and join whatever server is full if you’re running solo the 90+ people servers

Oh yeah 100% they do basically you wanna filter out on your “enlist” page the “password” column so no servers with a password pop up this basically makes to so all servers are easy join you just merge in

If they have a password it’s usually locked for training for just specific server clan members but if it’s open it’s anyone join kind of thing

But yea about the thing about joining servers with clans particularly on a different clan. I want a clan that gives freedom to a player to join any servers.

Afterall the clan’s server may not be active everytime.

Yeah I think they all let you do that I haven’t seen a clan that restricts your server usage, usually my guys have like 2 or 3 on max so I definitely have to be in various servers 😭😂 you just wanna make sure you’re not in multiple clans because that’s when people get mad

sensitivity would vary based on your dpi and in game sensitivity. it’s all a learning process and you should dial it in to what suits your personal needs 🙂 sorry if that’s vague but wishing you the best!
