if you run in alone you die, if you run in with a team but don't communicate you also die. If you run in with a team and communicate you will also die, but you might manage to achieve something valuable. Thing is, you die a lot. Like a fcking lot. It took me 80 hours for my first positive KDA and another 50 to be considered decent at it with a high KDA.

Communication is key and hoping to have squad leaders/commander that at least somewhat know what they are doing

I’m really struggling to find a role that I shine in. I really like playing MG but I spend so much time getting set up somewhere and then get headshot and it’s so much time to run back. Also for me getting on the bipod gets so wonky and I end up aimed at the sky or something and then can’t line up with someone I see to shoot. I like engineer too but I often feel kind of useless because I don’t have supplies to build anything. I’m not really the best front line combatant, I also enjoyed tank and artillery when I could figure that out. 2 team kills though and I was like eek, better stop. And tanks squads always seem to lock with 1 man

I wouldn't worry about the role per-say, personally i switch around all the time ingame depending on what the situation calls for, or what the SL needs at the time, which also has the added benefit of helping u analyze and think more strategically if that makes sense haha

thats fair, maybe try support.. everyones gonna be asking for your supply box and u still get pretty good weapons mostly. Also AT gets the ability to build AT guns on the second loadout as well, and is just a fun class overall

Yeah I do like the idea of the support loadout that has the two supply boxes for ammo and explosives. And AT I’ve never tried, I saw that I didn’t have any kind of AT projectile in the first rank and was like ehh, how am I going to get AT exp quickly

all of the first loadouts for AT besides the USSR have a rocket launcher with 2 rockets, if you run out, thats when the support with the explosive ammo box comes in to help haha

The whole game revolves around players depending on each other to (effectively) complete tasks. If you are fully against the idea of having to rely on others, even if that means that sometimes others will be bottlenecking you, then you probably shouldn't be playing this game.

That being said, most community servers have rules that require players in key positions to show some basic communication. If the commander is flat out ignoring people, server admins will likely remove him once reported. It should be noted though that spawning a tank "isn't free" and giving a tank to a new player who's on his own and has little idea what he's doing is generally speaking a massive waste.

I do not mind to win or to lose, but I find extremely boring to play arcade games where tactical principles are not applied, like when officers put all OPS together or in the same imaginary line from defense to attack, and then got surprised how they are flanked, or talking n officer chat instead of using map markers, making officer overburn of communication and losing soldeirs important info. Officials are good to have when you can't get on community servers, but if you can be patient to join one, I'd go with community any day.

The best way to be in contact with the commander as artilery is to be a squadlead. Squad leads (infantry (officer), tank(tank commander), and recon(spotter)) have a chat with commander, X by default. Then aim toward their marks on map.

And technically, you can go behind lines as any team. As infantry, you can put an out post (your teams spawn point, garrisons are for everyone) 2 blocks into enemy territory. Spotter can put them anywhere.

Hello I have a question, I have level 74 but I don't understand what resources bring? Are these Notes you're talking about? I understand the rest by heart

So the nodes that engineers build give 3 different resources over time for the team, and you can see the team's total pool of each on the top left corner above the scoreboard, or above the map. There's more to it, so I'm missing a few things that are more nuanced, but basically:

Fuel - used by commander to spawn vehicles

Munitions - used by commander to do bombing runs, katyusha strikes (if USSR), strafing runs, supply drops, precision strikes, recon plane. Players on artillery also use that resource pool for artillery ammo (costs 3 for HE, 5 for smoke)

Manpower - pretty much the rest of the commander abilities such as airheads, reinforce (increases cap weight temporarily) and encouraged (x2 resource generation rate temporarily). Also can be important for overtime on Offensive.

Common misconception there too seen people confused on the AT gun, you use regular supplies to BUILD the AT gun, but munitions to FIRE it. Dont need to keep putting supplies down after its built

if you right click hell let loose on steam, click properties, go to the DLC tab in the left panel, make sure winter warfare is checked. Then you can just launch the game and make sure you have it by going into the barracks menu and customizing a random roles outfit (looking for snow/white camo)

depends on your system and what you think is best for you. I recommend community TAA or clarity TAA (antialiasing) in the graphics/video settings. You can hop into the practice range in basic training and mess around with settings until you find some you like

But what is going on with this game lately the new meta sucks it getting out of controle people not wanting to communicate or border to place Garrisons or nodes. And they patch all the stuff that is good. Grind 1000+ to find good spots and tactics just for them to patch all the cheeky spots. They create maps where its more like sit in a bush lay on the ground than instead of using any tactic. Lazy new map design copying assets. Or assets where you cant enter a building. Feels like Team 17 is trying to make this into the new Battlefield or Call of Duty witch it isnt. They really need to address the situation or this game will die out. Seems like they want to appeal to the cod or bf player that plays this game 10 hours and go's back where they came from. Yet still us guys who play 1000+ seed the server and keep this game alive get a game that isnt what i should be.

Either earn VIP on a server you like so that you can skip the queue, or simply join one that is filling up and in your own language? There's basically always at least one at 30-80 players

Honestly, you're gonna have to learn all of them at some point and all the maps are rotated. I find the beach maps are easiest (mostly set points and lots of open field with hedges).

I have an RX 7800 XT, and I can get a good 170 fps (my refresh rate) at max graphics on most games but not HLL. HLL might just not be as optimized but whatever. What settings would any of you recommend I change to get better fps while keeping the most amount of quality?

I've been playing for some time, a fair bit of hours and never really agreed with the vision mechanics in the game being they're not that practical for first person shooter games at such a range. The whole tank deal with hitting a regular tank and it being unrealistic was kind of the final straw.

Matches can range from anywhere between 20-90 minutes. And depending on the game mode it can be closer to 2 hours
