As a rule, it's better practice not to have a Garrie directly on the point as it's easily taken out (as described earlier).

Personally, I like to tuck it away close to the point and ask defensive SLs to drop their OPs in the point, as that gives quicker spawn times for defence.

That said, IF you have a good group of SLs that can utilise Support players well, then the risk is lessened as they can get the Garrie back up again quickly. This also relies on being able to hide and protect it.

Same can be said for the Clan matches you've likely seen. I'd hazard they build defences round the Garrie to protect and also have a number of fall back and attacking garries in place. High level Clan matches move quickly and the squads are very nimble, so it's a different game entirely than a normal every day match.

ALL of this is reliant on game mode also. Clan matches will be Warfare, which is a completely different strategy to being solely on Defence or Assault.

Building it on the strongpoint or 50 meters behind it doesn't matter a whole lot. It's mainly about still being able to build garrisons on key areas all around the objective.

And it just so happens that that means that you end up with a garrison in the hardcap.

Not really, most communities are centered around playing together often and working as a squad or team, but not necessarily milsim. For that you should look into Arma instead.

I think the difference between the comp scene's garry placement vs ideal blueberry match placements, is that usually most comp teams will have a minimum of 6 bluezone garries for the sector/just behind sector, and essentially nothing in the red. So while there is one on point, you have a minimum of a further 5 around the objective, giving you a large ring of garrisons around point.

In comparison, blueberries are pretty bad at building and maintaining garrisons, and so finding a way to have a few down is better than 1 on point with absolutely nothing else in the bluezone. That's why the "3 garry triangle" basically exists, because the average bloob doesn't have the idea of maxing out the number defense garries and placing multiple around point, so the best work-around for that is 3 in a triangle.

A munitions node will halve the cooldown of ammo and bandage boxes for soldiers in the aoe, and a manpower node will halve the cooldown of supplies for support roles. Generally speaking, you want to place nodes within the first two rows of squares that your HQ spawns are in. If you build them in e.g. the middle of the map and your team loses control of the middle point, it will wipe out all your nodes. There is a special case when playing Defense on Offensive mode where sometimes your team has a bunch of engies fortifying a particular point, and having a manpower node in that point is beneficial for the extra supplies

Hello, how do you level up the roles? I have 320 hours played since start of the game, and not a single role on top level. It is kind of annoying, I cant play thousands of hours, am adult 🙂

The most efficient way is to just build a set of nodes at the start of the match and then swap to the role you want to level up. You'll gain 10xp for every node every minute, so in a 90 minute match that's nearly 30x90=2700xp on top of what you would already get.

The fastest way is to join Bob the Builder and actively grind for it by hammering bunkers and barricades

I didn't reach max role level (X) on everything until after 1,800 hours, it takes a while especially if you're like me and frequently play the roles that you already had at rank X (SL, TC, Commander, Crewmen, AT).

Focus instead on getting every role unlocked, rather than rank X specifically. Only things you unlock at X is a slightly different coloured Soviet uniform with a cape, so there's not a huge necessity to get specifically rank X anything

Squad lead is a cake, but is leading your uninvested squad the party you're celebrating? There's more to "Commander" than just hopping in and doing it, you've got to learn the requirements of things and the ever changing flow of the battle before you sit around and watch it unfold.

End of the day though, the games sort of dookie cause theres about 70% players without mics LOL

It should. I've had the same rules applies. Did you close and reopen? If not, some say go to Steam > Settings > In Game and changing the ping to lower to see if it helps. Restart steam (logout and log in) before trying again.

You my benefit from a clan if you want people on the regular since many hold events atleast once a week for everyone to play. #pc-divisions-recruitment may be useful. the best way to get experience is to build nodes which are a resource the commander uses and generates every minute, you can build up to three which give XP over the course of the match.

support actions usually earn you more XP than combat actions. nodes are the easiest way. another good way to get XP is to drop supplies for engineers, as long as the supplies are used you get the XP based on their buildings.

the only classes that are kind of the exception are AT because blowing up vehicles gives you a ton of score, and tank crews for the same reason.

but slap some nodes down and you easily double or triple the XP you'd normally get

some of the kits are rather annoyingly straight-up upgrades so you would want to grind them out which personally makes no sense to me since its a team based game

russians for example don't get a bazooka which severely hampers their effectiveness against tanks but they get a rocket launcher at level 9 (which can take forever)

the MP40 is standard issue for specific classes in German. Sometimes the guns change if you level up that class

Try to stay in a spot and look around first. They are gonna shoot expected spots for some people.

Suppression will happen whether they see you or not cuz hapf the time MG just spam overhead and also go where there is cover for most of your body and only move forward when others are with you

Keep your eyes scanning and ridgelines or any hardcover. Always stop frequently to scan your environment and listen for any footsteps near you. Kind of like your hunting for prey lol

30 percent of my gameplay on dense maps like Remagen and Hurtgen are just standing still or crouched, scanning my surroundings looking for any movements or scanning across fences etc

Was it offensive/defensive?

If it was offensive/defensive, you have to capture all 5 to win. So if you only got the first 3 points out of 5, you sadly lose. The only time 3/5 wins is warfare.

Warzone you fight over a mid point(C) at first. Say you capture, you have to do defend that while trying to capture next point (B) that the other team is also defending while trying to take your point.

Offensive/Defendsive is a 1-way push with 30 minutes to capture each point. You're trying to get A, which they defend. You take A, they cannot take back A, have to defend B-E.

I play mostly Engineer, Medic, Support, or AT (depending on what the team has or needs), if I don't Squad-lead, Spot, or Command. Engineer, Commander, Officer and Spotter (recon officer) are all level 10.

It was in some beginner guide video and the dude said because kills aren’t as important to win and sometimes take up more time than just respawning I shouldn’t use medic, and he said rifleman had more utility than engineer “most of the time” lol

I love playing Engineer to (A) Get commander nodes to provide supplies, attacking bombs, tanks, vehicles, etc to use (B) Satchel for blowing up tanks/buildings (C) Shotguns on some of the builds, but I enjoy the Grease gun too. (D) Repair tanks so they can fight while being repaired.

I love medic for... I guess sorta the roleplay of it and being a little wild and adventurous? To be that person to run and "save" their life. "I'm coming! I'll get you up buddy! You're not gonna meet God yet!" or being that wild person going to the revive inthe middle of a field.

Oh so it sounds like you are either just too far away. With a DMR you are meant for mid to close range. Alternatively it’s just a movement thing, you aren’t necessarily looking for people as much as movement. When you see it try to focus in and see if you actually see anyone, line up and take the shot

not awful IMO it fulfills a different role than the M1 Garand so a lot of people don't use it.

It onetaps at like 50m I think and has more ammo. I'd say the Garand is better in basically all instances but it's preference.
