Then, as for which server to choose, a lot of people recommend joining a server with "New player friendly" in the name. From my experience, it can be chaos on those servers, so at times you'll have a hard time finding a squad to play with (if you don't have any friends to join). However, the experience is also more casual. You're more likely to "fit in" so to say and not get completely destroyed. If you don't mind dying a lot however and are rather looking for a server with a bigger emphasis on teamwork and squad cohesion, don't hesitate to join a more "serious" server.

Hey all. I’m not new to the game but I was planning to try out arty for the first time. I installed the ArtilleryCalculator iOS app so I should be good with that. However, I wanted to know the common etiquette for whether you should be an Officer with a locked infantry squad or should I just roll as a standard Rifleman in someone else’s squad? What is the general consensus on etiquette?

What DrewDrew said. Most servers allow you to have locked infantry squads with only you in it. Starting out, Just remember that there is a good time for the shells to land. Gott predict where inf is headed to and be ahead of them. Also, dont let TK's get to your head. You will have 1-3 that is fine. Shoot, in a comp game arty will have 15-30. But in Pubs you cant do that for server TK limits. Just play and remember to predict and learn where the enemy is coming from. Watch the map to see where most of your friendly blueberries are dying.

A lot of it is map knowledge. Knowing and learning the maps. Dont always hold W. Sit back and let them run into a field and then shoot them. Practice aiming and shooting with different guns. If you play MG, dont get on the front line. Try to find elevation and play range.

But also do hold W. If you're in a bad area with no one passing by you, you'll get low kills. Can put all the tricks people give you into play at that point but if it's a quiet area you will find it quiet. So sometimes you gotta move around a bit for a life to then find the busy area to hold onto

Like honestly if you're getting 3 kills per hour, you're just either the worlds worst shot, or more likely, in a bad area.

It is not that bad. Find a community or a community server that you enjoy and play consistently on it. You get to know a lot of the servers normals and make great friends in the process.

Some do, but they are not Eastern front only. We had that for a little while and then it died out. It is normally best for a host to have a good mixture.

Just temper your expectations, gportal has a bad reputation, gtx has customer service that might as well not exist, low.ms has good customer service from what I hear but suffers the same problems other people do, nitrado is legendary for having problems like resetting server side files

Takes time. This game takes more time to learn than other games. Once you do learn it, it is pretty simple for the most part.

Learn the maps, talk, and find a good group to consistently play with. That is always some good starting points. A lot of veterans of the game will help you out with anything as long as you are trying and listening.

This is the Sergeant Major here, I want to take a moment here and examine the XP climb in game. I think every infantry squad should make their own boost. Nodes can make that happen. So, if you want more XP, at the beginning of the match, have your support lay a crate at one of the HQ positions for your engineer to build a node. You get an XP boost, the team gets more resources. This equals out to more or better tanks for support, recon flights or bombing runs, and the ever important reinforce ability when defending a point.

Build a set of nodes at the start of a match and then swap to AT

You'll get a bunch of passive XP income as long as your nodes do not get destroyed

There's the server hosting discord where server admins can report players to other servers. The developers generally don't hand out game bans.

Yeah, this player has already been shared on The Bunker, they just rose above and beyond, and since the devs have handed out game bans in the past, I figured I'd ask.

First off, the better place to ask, would be in The Bunker. Throw a message up there with the details and a reason why the standard community report isn't enough. I know under exceptional circumstances BM handed out game bans, but not sure if T17 does so as well. The bans you're referring to are probably from a ban wave BM once did back when they were still in charge. I highly doubt anything like that will happen again, considering the amount of false bans they had to sort out afterwards.

The only thing that slightly helped was leaving my console unplugged for about 10 minutes, I got about 6 or 7 minutes of game time after that before it booted me lol. Just going to refund it for now and hopefully get it again when the devs fix the issue

Nvidia is via filters or control panel. I don't have Nvidia though so I'm not 100% sure

AMD is via Radeon experience or whatever it is called. Go into gaming, select HLL, switch on sharpness and turn it up to like 80% or however much you prefer.

hello peeeepol. Does anyone here have fps issues in the game ever since crossroads updates and new factions? Before these updates my game would run okay with dx12 and dx11 with occasional stuttering but still kinda playable. Now game runs awful. Constant stuttering, stuttering when ads, stutter when explosions, random stuttering etc etc with dx12 and with dx11 aswell, dx12 gives more fps and more stutter and dx11 gives less stuttering and less fps overall. I've tried 50 different things to fix this but nothing is really helping im open to any tests to try to make game a bit playable. My specs: ryzen 5 3600x, rx 5700xt, 32gb 3200mhz ram and game is on nvme ssd.

As mentioned it needs a direct hit with the shell, which isn’t particularly likely in the first place considering spread. Same with a bombing run.

They could take down a light tank if you’re lucky but virtually useless against heavies which tend to dominate the battlefield.

A heavy might take some damage but unless you get multiple direct hits without any repairs or movement (better chance of winning the lottery) it’s not going to kill it.

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask for hel, but I'm having a strange issue. I play on an ultrawide monitor and my guns are very "zoomed in." Changing my FOV alters the world around me, but not my guns.

I can't even fully see the magazine of the sten gun, for example, while I watch youtube videos and twitch clips and people can see a huge chunk of it. It's also really noticeable with guns like the thompson, M1 Garand, and pretty much all non-gun items

I don't think anyone is going to have an issue downloading a few megabytes of updates a few times a month if they fix game breaking issues.

I personally wouldn't mind having patches a little more often. But it's a little more complicated than just downloading a few MBs;

• HLL (like many UE4 games) is obnoxiously slow when it comes to patching game files. Even if you only have to download only a few MBs, it may take up to an hour to patch all game files depending on the speed of your drive.
• Every release does slow down development speed because you have to create a separate release build with all unfinished features removed which then needs additional testing.
• Servers have to be updated, temporarily disrupting and splitting the playerbase. (+ added effort for server owners)
• What you consider a major issue may not affect others at all. Preferably an update has something cool for everyone.

hi guys i have all of my settings on the maximum and for some reason im lagging when i play i am playing on a HP Stream 11 Laptop, Intel Celeron N4020 gaming processor, and 4 GB DDR3 Gaming RAM. i got the laptop off of facebook marketplace and he said it runs all games better than gaming computers does anyone know a fix

Could you describe the kind of lagging ? Is it like a little lag every 30 seconds ?
That aint your pc´s foult. Check out youtube and look for Hll settings. There are some good videos with all settings explained. Where are you loketed ?

As far as I’m concerned I don’t think they ever have, but I also just have a reloading problem and am always reloading after I fire

You've clicked in the manual reload in your settings, just push R...better anyway.

I’m either gaslighting myself or this actually happens sometimes. I’m always finding i go to reload and it’s already reloaded

Not sure on the MG mechanism either? Do MGs auto reload when you un mount/remount because that’s happened to me too skipping the animation

If you are really finding it too bad though, i’d recommend trying to spawn further back but then pushing towards the objective, it just comes generally with game sense once you get to grips with it

Just tried starting the game now and it just crashes on launch and gives me the UE4 crash report. Tried restarting Steam. Verifying the integrity of game files now

I just got this but noticed all the servers are full. spending 2 hours trying to find a game

There's generally always one or two servers in your region that are at 50-90. Can always easily join those. They'll fill up to a 100 pretty quickly depending on the time of day. Otherwise, can always join a server with less players and help that one fill up.

Do note that late at night servers below 60 often empty out instead of filling up.
