Even then I've had max garrisons be down before in good spots and yet still you get overwhelmed because the spawn is proxied and everyone in the point is left to die and respawn because there were no medics around to revive.

exactly, play modes besides objective and you see this somewhat often

a really good push can overwhelm good defenses and spawns, more spawns is not a solution to stopping a push, it just lets you try and stem it

ideally you need all three elements to balance out, which should be naturally achieved by a variety of squad roles

SL/Commander with garrisons and outposts, engineers with clutch defenses and a line of barbed wire half a mile thick, and medics on body duty to rapidly get people back to fighting

but since 99% of people who play medic try the class for 5 minutes then decide it isn't shooty enough, they don't do anything

Had a fun match with tanks on it though, driver turned the corner at full speed to take a flank route in our M3 light tank, came face to face with a tiger and practically kissed its bumper. I shot at him with AP which I knew would do nothing but make their crew panic. With two shots we died, but we all died laughing.

suppresion can cause a whole team to duck, but a headshot on a sniper or lone wolf never hurts

i don't really know exactly what scenario this video was addressing

but from the sounds of it the video creator was emphaising the constant firing and suppresive fire that can be implemented during battle. Just trying to 1-tap people often is not the way to go.

Aiming for kills rather than solely focusing on headshots when spotting infantry would be the most reasonable way of thinking about when taken out of context

Ammunition is plentiful per life, and there is no ticket system here. Only time spent waiting to respawn. Removing the threat of infantry and general accuracy is more important than one-hit kills.

Shoot to kill. Know your weapons 1 hit down to the body range if it has one - everything has one except SMGs and pistols.

Shooting solely to suppress is usually pointless. Just shoot to kill them

I come from a game called enlisted. In HLL i am Having difficulties in being useful for the team cause i am always moving trying to flank. The visibility os horrendous and communication is poor. Not everybody talks.

From what I know, enlisted is like battlefield. Your eyes will adjust to the game soon enough, and you'll get used to it. It takes time though. And yeah, not everybody talks, but when you do find that one squad with great communication and teamwork, the game is very fun.

I think for the most part it's preference. For Germans NCO kit is definitely less powerful than the previous Loadout, G43 is just as hard-hitting as bolties and can rip enemies apart at all ranges, so leave the extra grenades behind.

US NCO kit is a necessity, the Garand is a perfect all-rounder and so long as you use it well it will give you better results than the Thomspon. But the choice is nice.

You're not completely wrong, but many of us are very familiar with the evolution of things, starting with early access. A lot of good has been done, but unfortunately the downhill slide has been apparent for a while. Regarding Team 17 specifically, the updates have been more and more broken, with no effort to fix the old issues like the loadout bug. Team 17 bought it a long time ago now....we can forgive a lot during early access and the sudden growth after actual release, but wow, have they (T17) really raced to the bottom since the takeover.

Arty should be used against high concentrations of enemies or otherwise hard-to-kill enemies in key positions such as MGs in a good position. If there's friendlies nearby or looking to push up, try not to fire more than a few shells, wait a bit for them to land, and reevaluate. Otherwise blast away. People will still run into the arty fire anyway because they are impatient or think it may be worth the risk, so you can't ever truly avoid it.

Getting teamkills doesn't necessarily mean you're doing a bad job on arty. And as long as people don't vote "Yes" when asked whether it was intentional or not, you're perfectly fine. (Note that you get the extra respawn time punishment regardless of what people vote)

Instead of addressing the engine problems, the manufacturer's response is to add more unnecessary features to the car, potentially exacerbating the instability of the engine. It appears that there are two distinct groups within this community. There are those, like yourself, who enjoy the addition of shiny new features to their car and are content as long as it serves its basic purpose.

Even with an older car, you can still expect it to run smoothly. Yes, several checkups are usually necessary, but if the individuals who lay their hands on the car know their craft, it will run nearly as well as it did on the first day.

Some brands have earned a reputation for manufacturing engines that are virtually unbreakable, like german Opel. Occasionally, the transmission may experience issues, but the engine itself continues to run fine even after 20 years, with the exception of normal wearing parts.

But HLL reminds me more of an older Fiat or Renault, which are known to have reliability issues and require a lot of maintenance. But people like SoupSpitter would still drive them and describe it as a "fantastic" driving experience.

Yeah it’d probably help if the HLL “community contributors” didn’t lie to them and say all these changes are for the betterment of the game. And if they sincerely think that, then they’re just as lost as T17 is.

Movement speed isnt whats making lag/netcode issues worse, when we had this movement speed back before U8, there werent issues.

The causes of increased lag/netcode issues are the analytics put onto the servers, (lack of) optimization of the maps, GSP's putting too many servers on not high enough hardware and T17 not desiging the game to match that reality, and all the changes on each map to address LOD issues, which increases performance drain on the servers.

Loadout bug will never be fixed at this point, and theyve made a business decision to not actually implement an alternative that would eliminate it (like removing the level lock for loadouts). And the grenade bug is due to connection issues as you throw it, so that never going to get fixed either.

Also, BM released 1 sided maps as well (and both Driel and El Alamein were made by BM)

Though T17 definitely doesnt understand the game, as shown by the decisions that theyve made

As far as I can tell, they claimed the scoreboard and map "fixes" were done to address the console dismantling issue.

After the community said these were terrible changes, they've seemed to figure out how to only cancel dismantling when the map is open, and so are saying they'll allow the other actions.

But Im guessing that they don't understand how to allow actions with the scoreboard but still break dismantling and so are breaking everything to "fix" the console dismantle bug.

And all of this is happening because they cant figure out how to actually fix the dismantle bug
which Im sure they could tell the server to check the IDs of the people dismantling, and block dismantles from an ID that is currently dismantling, but apparently T17 refuses to figure that out. And unless they give us a reason why, that seems the most likely answer to me

I don’t think player positioning updating more frequently has a benefit to the netcode, so I’ll stick with my original assessment. We are all well aware of the server issues. Adding increased speed to anything will just make that issue worse, and in my experience, it has been. Lag has been an exponential issue since I started playing the game over 2 years ago. It’s worse after last patch… again. I have a symmetrical gigabit connection and it is very stable, so the connection issues are generally not on my end. (Inb4 people say it’s me).

T17 may not have designed the 1 sided maps, but they inherited them. Instead of trying to balance them, or fix current bugs we’ve been experiencing, they decide to remove functionality from the game that had no ill-effect on anyone. We’ve heard nothing on balancing. Panthers are still broken. Pretty sure fixing a reload speed isn’t a huge deal.

This isn’t going to be the end of it either and their obvious lack of empathy towards the playerbase isn’t going to help anything. You were right to quit. Unfortunately, I am a competitive player and I’m still riding this thing out until the wheels eventually fall off or we find a new game to migrate to.

At this point it’s just inexcusable. They would have known about the issues of the current game state in the handoff with BM.

Catering to consoles will kill another game with massive potential.

Even their fixes seem haphazard. None of it seems intentional.
Like, doesn't seem like they are controlling the bugs, rather the bugs are controlling what they do and they just word it accordingly.

What I really want to know is their reasoning behind it. Why something like this would be deliberate for the scoreboard but not a map.

I was at least hoping it would be PC. But seriously ? Competitive console HLL 😂 that’s just comedic. The game isn’t built or supported for any sort of competitive. And with the way most of these clans are built console side it’s a massive pathetic attempt.

so, i am on pc (just played in seasonal semi finals) but also help organise a console tournament. you’re right, the game isn’t built that way and t17 clearly only care about roleplayers but the demand is there and the teams move heaven and earth to make it happen
