They used Brens, not BARS. And they used Thompsons but that was mainly during the first couple years of the war. By 1944 you’d see some Thompsons hanging around but 90+% of the SMG’s would have most likely been Sten Guns

A dear viewer of mine showed me a tool where you can tell your cpu to have all the access to your vram for nvidia graphics cards and it is a blast. I tested it for 2 days now and it is a night and day difference and i absolutely love it. I hope this helps you aswell...

I didn't have a chance to try but I think SLs can do it too.. and when the entrances are close enough each other you can create a network so you can potentially teleport across half the map

dpends if there are open space areas than firemode for full auto weapons is certainly nice
HLL is suffering from not enough people defending and literally a couple of people can take a point.. these tunnels and vertical form of transport will scatter players across the map making it probably even worse.. the maps are the same size but there are only 50 players a side.. I think these game design decisions will make the game feel even more as a running simulator.. we'll see how the meta forms but those are my predictions based on my HLL experience

not sure, i come from squad as well and anything in HLL is a cakewalk anyway
even if i have to run across the whole map, that´s like 1 percent of the time if squad has no spawn ppint
but that's why I play HLL.. it's not Squad, it's not BF, ...

I actually used it and switched to semi-auto each time when I wanted to shoot very long range hits while being safe. It proved useful, at least with M16 which in fullAuto shoots too fast.

so i liked the max downtime of HLL, and that was only with if verything goes south.
If i play SL which i always do you usually dont have no nearby spawnpoints
official servers infested with cheaters, teamkillers or other kinds of "good" peeps who are not getting punished as there is no server moderation whatsoever
because they are not moderated I think and they don't belong to anyone so the hardcore community players have no interest of playing on them.. someone has to enter them first and suffer before it fills up..

I'd probably enjoy a match or two every now and again at a lower level if I didn't need to put all the prep time in during the week. That's the bit that really burnt me out
At least doing the strat was fun
Like spending double digit hours a week prepping logi stuff, watching VODs, talking to people etc. wasn't great. But I still enjoyed actually playing the game
I actually like the prep phase, learning about the other team, looking for players, doing the strat, negotiating map and rules, etc
I remember Mercing for a french team, and only one guy spoke English to me. Poor guy said
'if I speak french, it's not for you. If I speak English, it's for you. If it's both, I panic"

What actually really bothered me about playing command and logistics roles is how absolutely ungrateful these tasks are. Everything ends up being your fault while you’re doing tedious work the entire match, while the rest can actually shoot and have fun. It really dragged me down, I wouldn’t recommend it. It also took me some time to realize how absolutely terrible the community can be, at least in public games. 🤷♂️

Yeah. It's a solo role. Everything you do is on your own.
For my comp team we were one of the only teams to run an actual logi unit. Commander, Offensive Logi, Defensive Logi, inf Helper. We were a top 3 team for years with that setup, but they don't use this system anymore
It's a lot smoother with a team of players, but it's not possible to do it in public games
I also Merced for PUSH one game as artillery. Only time I ever turned my artillery gun to fire at my own north HQ 🤣
Never played comp, probably a mistake. As I said, I can't recommend doing it in pub, unless you're masochistic.
Would say expanding the front by foot and having each SL mounting the respective garrisons would be faster
Yeah that would be back when Push went down into 8 DIV level but still played on 3 DIV, not their best days for sure, it didn't last long after that

Commander floats into whatever needs doing, but now also has time to micromanage the garrison network. It was a lot of fun with the right people

We are still trying to find a way into some comp as tank mercs, but is fairly harder to do than inf merc
Yeah, tank crews tend to stick together and move around as a pack
Especially if there's a couple crews together, you kinda have to find a team with zero tanks

We have no problem playing inf defensively and building AT guns, since that way we can coordinate and do cool thinks like triple taps, but still so

the level will be displayed next to the role on the barracks
you level up just by playing, if you build nodes as engineer then swap to the class you want to level you get extra passive xp

It is nice to see a T stock tho I like the look of those over skeletal/wire but I'd like to see them mixed up with the loadouts rather than it just being one or the other depending on faction

I also still stand by the fact they're named "Allies" is just a mistake since thats what the US were called before the soviets were added. Same with the germans and being called "Axis"
But their handling of the "Allies" faction is a total mess. Making the airborne outfits dlc was stupid
The worst part is that the airborne uniforms we have are so bog standard that they cant even make a version thats unlockable by ranking up cause then what would be the point of buying it?

Part of the fun of HLL is the internal flexibility of the squads. It has always kept the game relatively fast paced.

but so far the people are just using the pre-made arty guns blueprints, most of the peeps didn't seem to notice they can make it almost anywhere now
HQs are still the best bet ofc due fast HQ spawnpoint, but I am sure on certain maps there are better arty positions in or between HQs that would give the artymen better safety... just almost nobody seems to know.

Changing artillery to mortars is an insanely inconsequential update. Far bigger fish to fry than do whole new models and animations for something that doesn't affect the game flow in any way
The only thing I fear though is the Vietnam's performance. With just around 50-60 FPS - if the devs would populate maps with more assets later, slipping into unplayable state would be pretty easy.
It did prompt me to update my GPU though. Performance was awful for me. Really choppy 30-45fps. My GPU was above recommended specs but still 6 years old
HLL:WW2 now runs at 200fps at times for me, which is pretty sweet

Imo. there shouldn't be a slider for ADS FOV, the ADS FOV should always be in the same relative range from the normal FOV, so magnification factor would remain the same (relatively).
Otherwise one can have a fisheye in normal FOV and a sniper zoom with ADS FOV even without a scope - ADS FOV limits should be derived from the normal fov FOV value. It shouldn't be an independent slider with independent values.

I would be too, if even each rocket/shell tank damage hits would be rewarded with the score & XP. This rearming requirement doesn't promote cooperation of the ATs, but a hard rivalry and trying to be the one who gets the final blow and reaps the glory.

The armor resistance should be an absolute damage value reduction and not a percent based one.
So for instance, if a certain tank destruction gives 100 score/XP today, the player could get score/XP for damaging only up to that 100. If he would get all that 100 score just by damaging, the only more score he could get would be for the destruction of that specific tank itself where he would get another 100.
I think it would feel very rewarding fighting the tanks even if we wouldn't kill it.

The way they worded the leg collision prototype sounds like it either forces the player model forward or just doesn't let you go prone if there's something close behind you. Same issue in '83, sometimes cant go prone and it's rather irritating.

They are lowering it's price and damage output... maybe it will be the case. But still... would need to be some new tank tier between medium and heavy.
Because it will be likely visibly weaker than Tiger now... while surely it can't be on the level of Pz.IV either.
It says "While still classed as a Heavy in Hell Let Loose, its capabilities have been adjusted; weaker than standard Heavy tanks but stronger than Medium tanks."

There's no way they do. They only said damage increase, not penetration.
They said they were going to "Remodel" the armor, didn't specify much more on the dev notes

I swore you could penetrate a medium sherman from the front with a Pshreck, unless they changed it over the past year.
A solo AT infantry can kill a medium no matter the tanks relative position

Rockets penetrating mediums from the front is fine, but the launchers ought to be a bit clumsier to use, and the firepower of tanks ought to be more effective in keeping those launchers suppressed. Still, with this damage reduction it should make it more viable for tanks to do what they're supposed to. and for the 100th time, SLs and tank commanders should work together
