Question about the comp scene: Are there any future tournaments, and will the new artillery changes affect the long-standing comp rules (no enemies in friendly HQ, no destroying nodes, etc)?

I'm unaware of any tournament that has a "no enemies in friendly HQ" rule

some are running a either SPA or regular fixed arty setup, while some teams just go for gentlemans agreements to not use any artillery.
That being said, as seen above, orgas are experimenting. so we'll see if any tournament wants to try out new artillery rules, or if they just get build in the usual areas

There's some lower tier tournaments that have ran a rule of no pushing 5th except for recon until 45 minutes.

In 2021 I played a tournament that had no one in HQ sectors at all. Matches were 45 minutes long and you played both sides of a map 👴

There's always blueprints to build the arty guns in the center HQ. Alternatively the Operator role in the arty squad can place a blueprint freely. Supplies are either placed by the Gunner role or from a support in a normal infantry squad.

If you want to play arty but can't get anyone else to join your squad then I suggest joining a random squad, swapping to the support role and placing your supply box down next to the buildable gun. You can then swap back to the arty squad and build/use the gun

Yeah, because the Observer is the squad lead, you can't swap roles. You'd need someone else to join you. It is still possible to build an arty gun by yourself though if you use the above mentioned method.

Is a scripter able to see the map of the enemy team or is that strat mostly just a friend/alt on the other team? Talking because there was this guy who kept getting all the garries and had more points on that area than the entire enemy team combined

I mean, you can usually figure out where a garrison is based off the knowledge of where one would be.

Garrisons can only be 200m close to eachother, so if you know a garrison is in XYZ spot, you can guess, in general, where it is in ABC.

They are 200m from eachother, but you can figure out if you see the one infront of church, you can go ~200m north, south, east, west, etc.

It can be cheating, but I'd say the friend scenario is a thousand times more likely, especially if it was a community server.

Without seeing the whole map you can't be sure of that. As someone who deals with a lot of these reports 9 out of 10 it's just the enemy has guys everywhere.

It also consists of people never defending garrisons or they did defend it once then once it's green leave and never return only for the same guy you just killed to return knowing it's there to eventually get it. It's not always about someone cheating and often it's just the fact this game is so linear in where to place garrisons due to limitations on range and where to put them, i.e. Not allowed to put them in buildings it reduces the positions to place any of them which means, you find a garry you know roughly in 200m of a certain direction the chances of a garrison there has increased exponentially.

Also what level was the bloke? A legit level 150+ essentially knows like 80% of garry spots and if it's a 250+ he essentially knows them all

Not sure about consoles, but on PC I've seen some dodgy stuff recently. Sure, some people are just very good, but I think there's way more cheating going on than we think.
I've accidentally landed on the official servers once or twice, and the cheating was so blatent (people zipping across the map insta-killing everyone) that it seems like there is no anti cheat at all, so all we can do is have admins spectating potential cheaters, but unless they are blatantly cheating it's going to be very hard to actually catch them. .

Cheaters are around, are they plaguing the game, no I wouldn't say so. Official is different. Some try and hide it but they're all caught. For example I caught a recon team, two friends. Recon spotter was the cheater but his friend the sniper was getting all the kills, after watching them I realised the Spotter was the one cheating and pinging them and after a game or two I had evidence to ban him. That doesn't mean though this game is swamped with people like that. Mostly they just jump in and go ham.

It's actually not that hard to catch the vast majority of cheaters. Most community servers are good. Circle 2 especially since I verify pretty much anyone that stands out, and if you're good enough you can notice pretty quickly if people are just good or suspicious just by playing against them

the only cheaters we don't catch is the ones that are still at the bottom of the scoreboard and not regularly killing the better players. But at that point they have such a low impact no one really notices

The thing is that you can't back any of that up the same way I can't, we can only assume since it's easy to hide that you are cheating. I'm just saying that since there seems to be absolutely nothing from the game's side is stopping them, I have a feeling it's more widespread than we think. I agree. I saw the same on the console side. It used to be the PS5 players just pooping on us saying they never had problems like Xbox has, and mocked us, telling us to buy a real console.

Then the blurry graphics bug happened to them, and I had a really hard time feeling bad for them. Now they have a lot of the same problems we have shouted about for years.

Now more and more PC issues as T17 continues to double down on the failed business model of pushing maps, not testing, and not fixing any of the well known and widely reported issues in this game.

Tbh bf6 is a great sandbox, the ground work is there albeit their execution of like a forge mode and promoting those are lacking
