the mg42 was made with stamped metal instead of being precision made so it was more reliable in generally all conditions. the 34 was slightly lighter and smaller, but had a noticably slower fire rate than the 42

Sometimes these things happen after Steam Maintenance on Tuesday evening. Folks don't see till days later. Plus Windows loves throwing out some OOB patches also on Tuesdays anytime during a month. Try Deleting your Steam Download Cache. Once back into Steam do a Check for Steam Client Updates. You may or may not have any. Then test game again.

Nope, the artillery was usually several kilometers behind the frontline. In HLL we have 2km x 1,2km - too small maps for such arty.

Yeah. Assuming they get built at all. I didn't check if non-arty guys can hammer them. They're much less accessible now though. You need one of limited arty squads, and supplies that the observer cant drop himself, and anyone can destroy it and keep it unbuildable for the next 5 mins, the range is reduced, and the commander might not even create ammunition for arty, and the SPA seems like the superior option in every way

Never EVER seen a full halftrack, never ever seen a full jeep and that's friendly team included. Jeeps are extremely rare to encounter as well, as they need to be manually spawned - ever since they were implemented 2 years ago, I managed to destroy just 42. The achievement for driving the people over with a jeep is stupid and anti-HLL.

that was ideally my original goal, i want to spend time in France sometimes visiting, one of the places i want to see the most is Nancy, because tht's where the site of the battle in which Charles the Bold died and Burgundy's fate was sealed into non-existence in the modern political geography, although there's hardly much to be seen in modern Nancy from that time, aside from, as far as i know, two churches that were built in the site of the battle, later in the future i'd like to explore other towns like Harcourt in Normandie and Carcassone, as well as Toulouse, you could say i'm a frenchaboo lol

There is a lot of cool moments in this game, being a squad holding the flank until the enemy bring a lot of armoured vehicles to dislodge your unit because infantry aren't capable is quite satsifying. The game is what you make it, even on a losing side. Just set yourself your own goals in a game with your squad if they're working together and you get a lot of cinematic moments like that.
