Like I mentioned before I think updates have a play in it besides crashes of course. Do like I said delete Saved folder - re-configure everything - exit game copy out gameusersettings.ini and input.ini somewhere else. If it resets try pasting them back into proper location. You just have to remember to do the same upon each and every release.

YouTuber here. I have thousands of hours in the game and have been playing it since 2020. Is my opinion not valid just because I enjoy making content? I also run one of the most popular servers in the world and talk to people about the game all the time in my discord, reddit, YouTube, etc.

Not everyone plays the game the same way or for the same reasons. The guy who gets on a couple times a week after work for a few rounds has a right to his opinion just as much as the comp player who spends thousands upon thousands of hours figuring out the absolute most efficient way to do every single thing.

But to be fair, that comp player is in the minority. The majority don't play that way and aren't looking to win tournaments. The game should be designed to be fun and make the majority of the players happy. Otherwise you shrink the playerbase down to only the ultra competitive who play the game only to win and work out the absolute best possible strategy to win at all costs.

I think competitive players have a right to an opinion and the developers should consider how the comp scene is impacted by the things they implement or change, but that doesn't mean they cannot move forward with those changes if the majority want them and welcome them. It is what it is.

I think armor as it is is pretty balanced, but flawed. Anything other than a heavy is considered a waste and engagements often turn into stalemate with both sides sitting back and getting repairs. If a solution can be found that makes other tanks more relevant and brings more emerging gameplay then that is a big win in my book. Right now it's simply too early to tell if the proposed changes will work out that way. Either way I'm pretty excited to see how this changes the way people play the game.

On the topic of comp, back in the early access days, people constantly complained about BM's changes and additions. Red zone garrisons, trucks, multiple armor reworks, so forth. And although the meta didn't always improve as a result, at least it kept things fresh. The comp scene has not had such significant changes in years. Personally I think that, regardless of whether the initial changes are a hit or a miss, they will benefit the comp scene, even if they don't realize it.

About the hypocrisy comment earlier, I can't help but feel that way every time someone insinuates that they are the lifeblood of the game. It happens with comp players all too often, but it also wouldn't be the first time that community server owners have claimed that their communities made up nearly half of the playerbase, which, when you add the numbers together, is a pretty laughable claim.

Obviously not having a comp scene, or community servers, would be a big loss for the game. That's not the point.

Heavy tanks can still have satchels placed on them in the HQ, and supply boxes and AT guns can still be built in enemy HQ. What happens if a solo tanker in a lobby steals a heavy tank and doesn’t get kicked, much less gets it stuck. Not to mention how is adding extra armor to a medium going to protect it from satchels when most tanks in pub lobbies are alone and flanked instantly, regardless of comp. There’s no tutorial to even tell new players how or why spawn points exist or how they work unless they take the time to read it themselves. All my friends who have tried this game hate it for that reason. I’ve never seen a casual player above level 100 in a pub game on console because most have them have already moved on by level 40

Depends on what gaming experience you want. Generally speaking, the game is good, although lacking in some aspects.

Armour gameplay is barebones (although a big update will hit soon that will overhaul that), dying doesn't matter, communication can lack from time to time
