Dropping ammo / medical boxes with bandages gives you XP

If somebody will take bandage or ammo from your box, you will get more XP

If you dropped the box with supplies and they build garrison there you will get more XP

If you think HLL's hit reg is bad, oh boy you have no idea what reforgers got waiting for you

You have many, many times on the regular where you put like 3 headshots in a guy and nothing happens.
Or you get 1x 7.62 to the lower calf and you get knocked out, but when you shoot 7 bullets in to the guys torso, he just runs off with a light bleed

Depends on the server. On the main WCS one I play on, they render exactly at 1015m, I believe.

Sadly, that's not the case for everything, since infantry's a bit closer, buildings are at this distance and vehicles sometimes a tiny bit further

So what you have is AA shooting your helicopter that you as the pilot can't even see 🙂

You also have abuse tactics such as placing a proper optic on your weapon, no matter the weapon.
And when you stand in a bush just right, your scope actually doesn't get obstructed by the bush, but your whole body is concealed, so you can literally shoot w/o getting seen.
Do it at a distance, so there's no sound and profit

And don't even get me started on Armored vehicles...

Squads also good in some areas, but sucks in others

Y'know those HLL games where in the first 10 minutes you see 0 garries and just know it's gonna be a slow loss over like 20 more minutes? Well that happens way more in SQUAD from my 700 hours in it

But then again, there are positive such as the ICO making infantry fights soo much more fun that in HLL. Makes you really have a immersive experience when fighting

I've played my fare share of Arma 3 (heavily moddded) and I can say you don't need DLCs to enjoy the game, just one clan or group of friends to enjoy.
I mainly played in milsim clans, the most I played with was one that simulated a real spaniard special force, and I can say the level of realism is astronomical compared with games like Squad, let alone Hll.

I had to take a 3 hours medic course to know how to do basic healing to downed teammates, an orientation a CQB course and finally a Practical and theoretical examination in order to be considered a soldier, then a training course for cavalry (armor), marksman, grenade launcher and MG, the whole thing toke me 1 month.

If you want true realism, that its the way, but you can always go for half tints

That's why I think mechanics such as the tanks getting stopped by literal twigs are gameplay things that just NEED to be there, no matter if the game is arcady or has realism aspects.
But lots of people especially in arma reforger mix up "realistic aspects" with "realism" when it comes to gameplay.
They always vote for stuff to be more realistic, even at the cost of gameplay being dogwater.

Also the Sundays we would play "Chernarus" a gamemode where we are deployed on enemy territory and we have to build our army from scratch, the leaders would optimize the resources and objectives in order to grow up, and with each season we would get stronger, by the last chernarus session of the season, we had 3 infantry divisions 20 players each fully equiped, 2 armored squads and full air suport, it was an assault of 70 players more or less in order to take the last bastions of the enemy, I was in a Leo 2 tasked with hunting down enemy armor

but yeah, I had to stop playing because it consumes a lot of time, and I mean a lot

The only thing I want is a game like Squad 44 that its not dead, thats all

I also like Squad, but its the interface and slow animations that makes it bad for me, like the soldier takes 5 full seconds to reload a pistol in combat

And the tanks not being able to shoot the MG and reload at the same time like man

so as a tank commander, is playing defence better then being on the offensive, it allows you to be safer, and not be surrounded by enemy AT, I usually go full blaze in to help a push, but it usually isnt worth it imo

The best advice I can give is to stick to cover so that (assuming you're in a heavy) you can roll back the moment you're hit once to repair. A single rocket launcher alone shouldn't be a massive threat. The real threat is schrodingers satchel. You never know whether it's there until you look. The same goes for infantry support.

I want to make a map cover app using overwolf for streamers. It will work pretty simply, if a visible map is detected, a cover source will be applied in OBS or other streaming software used.
I will detect it either by player pressing "M" button (for map), or when multiple pixels will match color in a game (when you are dead and selecting spawn point).
I am not worried about the button press, but I don't know if I will not break some TOS with the pixel check.

sure, an image source that gets triggered by pressing M - problem is, sometimes you type it mutliple times and if theres miscommunication due to speed/reaction-delay, you might have the overlay open, even when the map is closed

Not sure about the speed change, but some tanks like the Firefly just can't bloody go in a straight line. It always veers off to one side and you end up trying to correct course all the time

In regards to shifting gears, only shift gears when RPM is almost at maximum

Higher gears = higher speed, lower gears = lower speed, but higher manoeuvrability

When trying to take a sharp curve, I'd advise him to rapidly switch into lower gears, steer around the corner and shift into higher gears again (keep the RPM in mind, tho)

To answer your question, until the devs found a way to fix APHE (you can't even imagine the discussions behind the scenes that are going on about that topic alone), use APCR on German tanks for vital shots

Last week, I moderated a match from admin cam and saw a Panther ambush an M4A3 Sherman in SME from behind. It sent four APHE rounds into its rear and they all did NOTHING. Why? Because the fuse of APHE got triggered upon penetrating the armour. But behind that, there is another very thin layer of armour modeled. And because the fuse had already ignited, that thin layer ate the entire shell. The same happens with HEAT.
