I thought I had to wait until it re opens the winter dlc but nope! For a small amount of pennies you can obtain that beautiful head covering
Type 95 was the most typical, but pretty ineffective, couldn’t really bring any bigger tanks to the battle due to most of the fighting taking place on islands
Was a logistical nightmare to transport large tanks from island to island, where as on the western or eastern front larger tanks could be hauled via trains that accommodated them directly to the front, smaller tanks like the type 95 were perfect for the islands terrain and to transport but easily disabled

Is Team17 going to rethink the very loooooooooong respawn times? What's wrong with 15s for everything and 30s for halftracks??
Does anyone know why my game is stuttering after the new update? everytime i look around too quick it stutters. Also when i move my mouse too fast on the menu same thing. Any fix?
would change nothing because the majority already presses W to their death over and over. it would just happen a bit more often
mainly just have to go off of sound, if you hear the shot that is. Its hard to spot people in this game and even muzzle flashes can be hard to see. Best to just not try and peak if you make it to cover
Garrisons are already extremely powerful and the only downside to dying is needing to wait and being set back a bit.
If you get downed rather than holding f pause and select redeploy, its much faster and then just hope you can catch the end of a respawn wave
there's a red flash on your death circle when you get hit, showing which side it came from.

Spawn timers for halftracks are hilarious and then they even cost as much as a medium tank...
Missing a spawn cycle does actually make a big difference, especially in the heat of battle when you have to get back to the action and you're now waiting 40s to 60s go spawn from garries or haltracks. That's a loooooooong time in HLL.

Lower timer for commander could be cool... its somewhat sad that they have to wait so long no matter what

on second thought, maybe people would be more inclined to do those tasks if it clearly was their mission. people playing recon often just dont get the purpose of their squad, but some AT or half-track squad would be more intuitive. could do it half-way by letting the commander change squad designations so that all the blueberris get it too when they cant hear the commander
it'd just have to be in big red letters so people wouldn't miss it
In unorganized pub the role of the commander will always have to be supplemental to the team and not really controlling

Controlling commander in organized events works because people expect to be controlled.
People in pubs are well aware there is nothing forcing them to listen
yeah, i usually dont bother trying to control anything since it would take a lot of time to figure out which squadleads and their squads even can be trusted, i just spam garris and only note them of important things and let them take the initiative
But in general,
Give infantry at with real killing power to specific limited squads lol how recom works with the sniper.
Give everyone else at grenade launchers or hand grenades to disable tracks and subsystems but can only soft kill a tank
And not outright destroy it
but it would be easy if i could click on an officer on the map and set them on defense/attack, then everyone would blame them if they went AWOL and we lost the game
So you just want to pass on accountability 
or just dragging them towards a point on the map that gives them and their entire squad a highlight there
instead of me wasting everyone's comms and blocking out important info within each squad
give the blueberris some "Mission complete!" fanfare like from Metal Slug when they do what i want, give them that dopamine hit

Support class is one of those things where they'd rather try to fix bad gameplay symptoms rather than the root of the problem.
It could be realistic and intuitive in a way, but all of that is thrown out of the window because of how easy it is to teleport around the map

Mr Green Beret, HLL is not supposed to be just a shooter - there are plenty of games like that.
The stealth, suspense, 1-shot-kills, it's enough to keep you on the edge of your seat!!

There's already restrictions on where spawns can be built, who can spawn where, what the capture times are etc. It's just about tweaking them so that one click of a button isn't superior to everything 50 players worked together to accomplish

There isn't a more half-assed workaround in gameplay faults than HLL's airhead.

just remove airheads, supply drops, make red garris buildable only in the first 200m into the red, and give players more tools and firepower to attack from the front.
i sometimes use transport trucks as portable cover to great effect
maybe even make garrisons free to build on a cooldown so taking them down means nothing if you cant hold the area
or make them free to build in locked sector only, something like that. hunting for spawns is just too efficient and dull
EA would have been an option, but there this game really doesnt need to be like bf5

Meh it does. No ticket system, unlimited sprint, easily accessible gunplay, barely a logistics system, death literally has no consequence, auto fill magazines. These are all things youd find in more arcade style tactical games.
Naturally, for tactical shooter players, HLL feels like a complete arcade fest
And for Battlefield or even CoD players, HLL feels like a hyper hardcore mil-sim

Anyway its makes no difference if HLL is arcadey (it is) or milsimmy (it isnt). Its a fun game with enough to keep you entertained for hours on end
And tbh unless youve played a lot of comp you have never played HLL to the maximum because public games are never at the intensity of comp games

That is the point of comp. To test the teams skill, although iirc the first three ECLs ive played in arty was a valid target. I stand by what i say. You will never get a full set of nodes before the countdown timer in pub games nor will you get optimum garrison placement. In Comp it is expected and routine to get nodes before the countdown timer and garrisons are always planned
Pub games half the squads dont have an SL never mind talking SLs
Just replace it with squad-based mortars

As as a recon guy, mobile mortar squads would be fun to hunt down compared to artillery where you know exactly where they are at all times

to my understanding, if you got 3 radios, you can figure out if a signal is coming from within the triangle they make. Add in more radios all over the map, and you can make so many more triangles to find a more exact location

Sure but it’s the same systemic issues. You have a group of dedicated players that are bombarding key points while another opposing group has to hunt them down. It’s opening up the possibility of being worse gameplay because now you’ve introduced a less predictable source of arty while keeping its effects the same. It’s the same loop just in different locations, while also potentially being more exploitable given the added freedom

Commanders should not be able to place spawns.
Commander abilities are enabled only if they are inside the defensive zone’s SP
This:
- Mitigates commander blaming with spawns, -a duty that should be on SLs working with eachother
- Encourages people to be within the defensive sectors
i strongly disagrre that commander dont have to build garries
they totally have to do almost all backups
Only because players are dumb and think it’s exclusively the task of commander. Any SL could do the same

There needs to be an element of risk and reward for their presence on the field.
There is a common complaint for the lack of defending in hll. Something as simple as needing the commander in the defense SP encourages players to also be on defense with him
Commanders role is to build garrisons, fight when they are needed, and call in things, can they build all the garrisons by themselves, no. So help them out
When I play I focus on building garrisons but it’s still impossible to cover everything
Someone explaining how they can do everything this simplistic game has to offer is not what I’m focusing on

I usually do a mic check on leader channels, and if someone doesn't answer and stays silent for 5 mins he gets a punish, 2 more mins and a kick
