A: The lighting is trash, so that part wouldn't work
B: Even with markers usually commander call ins and artillery is sub-optimal. If we take out the mechanic and make it purely a aesthetic way to do it, then noone would use it, since it's just a way to give your own position away as a recon.

Arty isn’t an actual projectile, and it’s something BM coded. Mortars can’t function the same way because you have to account for physical objects in the way whenever you set it up. Arty doesn’t do that because they are stationary, and again, there’s no physical arty “shell”

The server itself essentially replays the shot to determine if it landed, where it landed, and what effect it should have.

So if someone, for example, sees the blood effect on a hit but the enemy was seemingly unaffected.. it's likely that the client (your game) assumed it was a good hit in anticipation, when in reality the server did not (desync). Usually the client and server agree a majority of the time.. but things happen.

This all occurs very quickly.. but the client (you seeing the blood effect) is going to happen first since it's what your game anticipates is happening/going to happen while waiting for the server to make the final call.

I think the map's gonna be decent. Elsenborn is pretty valid as well. So it'll mix it up for a tiny bit in your everday playing, but I think most people above like 500 hours are waiting for some actual mechanical changes to the game, something that impacts us on all maps.

Very true. The gameplay should be pretty fun.
The main issues I still have with Elsenborn are just two really: 1. Visibility in the bushes being quite scuffed. So looking in to them, out of them, yada yada.
2. Multiple points lack like proper, good, garry spots.

Foy, being an insanely open map, over time has really been nailed down on where the best garry spots are for certain points, since they just make tactically the most sense, but it feels like most garry spots on Elsenborn are just those "F!@# it, throw it down, we'll have a spawn for at least some time, even if we get camped on it. If they take it down, we'll just pop it back up."

Idk, 30-60 hours per 2 weeks. Very average.
And no, not really. The maps just gonna be temporary hype that will die down in like 3-5 days. I think it'll be a decent map, but it could also come with a whole bunch of issues.
I, as well as many others, would like to see meaningful mechanical changes

It doesn't reward smart play at all, it removes the ability of an enemy to capitalise on a team pushing because you can now spawn way quicker. Timing is everything in this game and negating that mechanic doesn't = smart play

You still get the 10s for respawning, not 20s when you normally redeploy. If you tked, you also still get an additional +10s per tk.
We added it mainly it allows to fast redeploy without teamkilling.
