Cheaters do exist, but they're very far and few between in community servers due to shared ban lists and active staff.
We were actually discussing it in-game not too long ago in my squad. One guy with ~1k hours said, he's seen 3.
My experience in 1700hours is around 5 total, but one might've not been really cheating, but 4 for sure.

It's a bug that came with U16. A simple and yet pretty serious one I would assume, when we look at it from the legal level - because the game keeps picking up the microphone despite the player doesn't know about it and despite he obviously doesn't wish it.

Who would be to blame if the game would this way pick up some spoken details of a players credit card details? I know, a very edge case but could theoretically easily happen if the player would be paying for something between the matches and would be reading the stuff he writes out loud (some people may do that).

Second fix was after I change my battery , VoIP crash! I took battery out and put back / disconnect -connect fix the VoIP !

Yes, I'm just trying to understand how the game works. So we have one player on our side who is the commander? He can mark stuff on the map and everyone can see it on their map then? So as a recon, I would seek out enemy encampments, and then relay that to the commander, he would then mark it for everyone and then our artillery for example can use that to target. Is that roughly how the game works?

Trying to satchel a tank in the open that has a spotter is the most cringe experience i ever had i just want to dip my private parts in acid rn

Staff are quite responsive, they ban them. Good portion of servers afaik share ban lists and what not, thus making it a real pain for them

But a good recon player, or any player really.. knows all those spots like the back of his hand.
Last time I had someone very sus taking out garries on Hill 400, I merely noticed 3 main things:

We hadn't pulled any attention towards the flanking direction where I made the garry
It was way out of line for any normal troop movement
It was a reoccuring player, alone

It could be that the server list only shows a one way ping measurement, as where the scoreboard ping shows a round trip time.
It could be that network routes change.
Server might prioritize lightweight queries from the server list differently compared to the in-game data.
Maybe the server list ping displays an average or snapshot ping and the in-game one is a live case.

I mean if you're looking at it realistically, what could have any impact on it (the "lost connection to host" issue):

1. Internet set up, wired or wifi. If wifi then there's another bunch of aspects to look at like interference etc.
2. Static/dynamic IP's
3. Windows update versions
4. Network driver versions
5. Any other program that actively touches your internet connection.
6. As we've observed, for some reason UE4 or HLL in this specific case also gives the network issue if you have the game on a HDD instead of a SSD.
7. Windows system clock not sync'd.
8. ISP issues with some specific IP's. Some black-list etc.
9. NAT Type, strict NAT may block certain connections
10. Vpn usage
11. Game file corruption

That's not to take away that there are some legit trash af things that should be fixed by now in these many years the game's been out, but still we see day to day people in here saying X issue and turns out it's on their side.

Thanks for that. Yeh its not a smoothness or fps issue. Its a visibilty. Like render distance. It gets worse the further the target is. I turn the FOV down to 60 to see further targets clearer. But back up to 75 for closer ranged engagements. Hard to play the game on 60fov all the time. Also make you feel like your running is slow motion 😂

There are some but its not as much as in Hll

No matter even if you join a community server, it's always a wild card. Even if some communities are enforcing SLs to have and use the microphones in their servers, the non-SLs may still be quiet without a consequence in there. So, it's rly random. Just avoid the official (non-community-hosted) **servers **and you will get at least a chance to meet some more people with the mics. But a chance is all there is and likely ever will be anymore.

If you want a guarantee of playing with people that are always talking, you have to get to know such players and to relatively regularly play together. The easiest way to do that is joining some clan.

Idk how people mess up being a gunner you shoot towards the enemy when your teammates aren't in cover and you shoot any enemy's you see it's probably the easiest class

All you do is suppressive fire and shoot people

it's not just that. you have to have good game sense and map awareness. you can't just rely on your tank commander and turn your brain off. sometimes you spot a tank before they do sometimes you need to know when to load HE when to fire when to wait and not expose your position it's not aim and shoot and that's it

and ofc there's ranging, usually we sit 700 800 meters from a moving tank too it's not easy on sweaty servers

Ping in the browser is literally pinging it for an immediate response. In-game it is more of round trip time RTT where other connections, infrastructure, and load are considered.

So it'll be higher in-game almost always than the browser

No way I got banned for 2 hours on an official server, got tk'd by arty twice, told them to check the map more often, still tk'd me so I tk'd them once and get a 2 hr ban. First time looking for enemy garrisons and OPs, they were shooting speratically and at no markers, just around their territory. Second time command marked an enemy garrison, I was assault and had a satchel so I approached it but then got TK'd again, that time I couldn't see a garrison or any enemies around that marker that arty was hitting. Both times I was in that area before they started shooting. How is it I get banned, but the fool firing artillery doesn't?

Make it so outposts take 50 supplies, have only like 20-30 spawns per placement and take 5-10 minutes before they can be placed again.

Outposts give a maximum ammo resupply up to half but no longer give resupply’s of explosives.

Have you considered how it would kill any flanking capability and create a stally gameplay where the defending team has an even greater advantage ?
When an enemy has a strong position unless you coordinate Garisson placement with outpost-hoping it's almost impossible to take back.

Outposts can still be put up easily, it just requires teamwork like a garrison.

Only downside here is the loss of explosive capability’s but that’s been needed for ever because satchel, rocket, and grenade spam has been meta since alpha.

And yea, this will make the game more slower and more grounded but imo it’s much better then what we have in the current game
