In a moment when you need to activate 4 charges in order to defend against the falling meteors, nothing hapens right after. The shield just continue to be in place even after meteorites strikes him and that's basically it. I'm on my nightmare playthrough and i tried it like 3 times already, but still without any result. no still no solution it must be a bug or something like that. I tried uninstalling the game and resetting it, still the same problem.

I am having the exact same issue, I even survived the attack by using the shield power and greatsword's invul and nothing, it still forced me to activate the towers and barrier and biting happens.
Has anyone tried to uninstall the updates?

I had this happen last night and I uninstalled the game. Make sure your not connected to the Internet when you reinstall the game. I got to the meteor part and the boss did spawn after they hit the ground. Finish beating him then you can update your game again so it plays better.
