Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.
depends on what scripts u planning to use
I will build most of the systems needed for the server.
Define "systems"
All the features needed for an RPG server
cmon fella
i dont read minds
give me examples
Weapon enhancement system or random box system
If done correctly, those scripts will not consume much.
Im not a denizen's dev, but i think its all up to your code and how you using it.
I have three VERY complex systems (barter, police system and food system) that are 1000+ lines EACH and my server doing just fine
I even have poorly written custom enchantment system that listens to every entity damage and yet my server is fine
Is there a performance difference from ‘other scripting plugins’? From what I've heard, those plugins aren't suitable for large servers.
I tend to care about optimization.
When writing code
I think that the performance difference will be so little that you shouldn't care. But if you care so much about optimization then you would be better off writing Java plugins.

correct
you can see in #showcase just what denizen scripters have built, and none of those cause lag
even the arguably most impressive denizen creation ever, dmodels, doesnt lag the server
buuuuuuuut, even a countdown clock could ruin performance depending on how you write it
idk about you but i would 100% trust if it comes from the founder of microsoft
