enable debug mode and try and get a log where it happens
also probably worth trying without any plugins
Also, everytime i bring them back (/citizens reload) it gives me a scary warning about the cmd
it gives you an appropriate warning
is that a log where the NPC has disappeared with debug mode turned on?
Whats gonna happen if i rely on that cmd for every restart?

Sometimes shop NPCs switch their shop type on their own
sometimes when i click a shop NPC it opens another NPCs shop
Im considering erasing all NPCs and quests and starting over for 1.21
This is gamebreaking for sure

404 (Charles) is not de-spawning but, not allowing trades and switching shop type
112 (Jesmine) is de-spawning
Also in shop edit, in the shop items editor, nothing is showing up

@near torrent I haven't heard anyone else having this problem. I suggest you start by removing all plugins except Citizens to see if it is a plugin conflict
the fact that DrMap is causing so many errors is a bit concerning

Sentinels or essentials? sorry Idk if I have a sentinals plugin or you might of meant essentials and im just stupid
they almost definitely meant #1024101613905920052. As fullwall mentioned, the next best step would be to check for a plugin conflict

I deleted every citizen with a shop, path or trait and am slowly rebuilding them but, i still cant figure out how to keep them spawned in
Started over sorta, cant keep them spawned
yeah im having the same issue they just disappear after restarting the server
i have the same issue in the last 2 weeks, after updating to 1.21. It is so random. Everything can be ok for 10 restarts... and on the 11th restart the NPC are not loaded and I need to do /citizens reload twice so the NPC's are showed again.
I need some replication steps
Its so weird. I tested it on a new server with same plugins datapacks etc and it works just fine. go to my main server and they just despawn every restart

@opaque forge that's not a full startup log or a full shutdown log and there's a bunch of multiverse errors...
Sorry, I just sent it like that because citizens doesnt show up after that.
and those errors are normal they cant generate tp acess to some of those world because its a dimension datapack
@opaque forge can you send a full startup and shutdown log with debug-mode enabled in citizens' config.yml. Just need to also make sure the multiverse errors aren't preventing citizens from spawning npcs
