Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.

Info: logs

Please post your full latest log file.

Background Info: One of the most helpful tools to identifying the source of a problem is your server logs file! Logs contain all sorts of important information like server and plugin versions, any error messages, and a lot more important information (More Info).

How To: Your log can be found in the logs folder within your server folder. The most recent log is a text file labeled latest.log. To get help using these logs, please open that file in a text editor and copy all of the text, then open https://paste.denizenscript.com/New/Log and paste the text into the box on the page. Then click "Submit" and copy the URL and paste that back into this channel.

Please do not upload the file to Discord or to other pastebin services, use the log pastebin linked above.

A snippet of an error is only a partial problem.

#

Please follow the instructions in full so that we can find the root cause of the issue.

The issue occurs whenever I right click an NPC from citizens

Well you're several versions behind, and not even on the latest patch version.

#

Why is this?

Why? Things are going to be pointlessly broken

hot galleon
#

Okay I'll update to 1.20 and see if that fixes anything

severe grove
#

At minimum I'd suggest 1.19.4, but 1.20.4 is also an option. Please make sure you test locally before you do so, and update citizens to the latest version.

#

You are several several versions behind in citizens.

severe grove

It should. Citizens states it supports 1.19, but generally we only support the latest patch version of what is upfront on the spigot page.

!patchversions

# severe grove !patchversions
Info: patchversions

We support only the latest patch-version of Minecraft for any recent main version (and Mojang, Spigot, Paper, etc. all generally also follow the same rule).

"Patch version" means the last number in a version label, for example in 1.18.2, the main version is 1.18, and the patch version is .2.
So if 1.18.2 is the latest patch version, then 1.18.1, and 1.18(.0) are all outdated patch versions, and therefore are unsupported.

Note that we do still support recent older main versions (such as 1.17 and 1.16) so long as you are on the latest patch-version of those main versions (like 1.17.1 and 1.16.5).

There's been enough time for majority of plugins to update, I can't imagine what plugins are not updated.

hot galleon
#

Is there any way to resolve this issue while staying on version 1.19.3?

severe grove
#

Unfortunately, citizens only targets latest patch versions. You should be attempting to at least update to 1.19.4, most plugins around that era should have updated by then.

#

It shouldn't be terribly difficult to run a local server to see which plugins work and do not work on 1.19.4 when updated?

hot galleon
#

I suppose I could try 1.19.4 but I would really prefer 1.19.3

#

if theres anyway you could look into the root of this problem for 1.19.3 I'd appreciate it

severe grove
#

I'm not a developer, so no. Fullwall generally tells users to update to ensure it's not an outdated version of citizens.

hot galleon
#

Alright im updating to 1.19.4 and ill luk

#

I may just replace citizens with a different npc plugin if it comes down to it

severe grove
#

You're running on an outdated version, so there is likely to be bugs and problems with running such an old version.

#

Trying to keep up to date is important in security and capability.

#

You haven't said why you want it to be 1.19.3
